Setting chat tech to none?

Does setting chat tech to none help decrease load time or does it have no impact?  I'm trying to reduce the load of my Storm King's Thunder campaign as much as possible (there are a lot of assets to get pulled in!).  My instinct tells me setting chat tech to none SHOULD help by totally turning off video and voice, but i can't quite tell and nothing in the wiki (that i have found so far) talks about performance tuning with this.

It helps, but compared to the load of a large campaign like SKT, it's minimal. Especially if you're the only player in the game at the time you test, since the load the chat puts on the game depends on the number of people involved.
