"rnamec" field does not seem to work with the attack damage template "&{template:atkdmg}"

My problem is that for some reason the "rnamec" field wont do anything when a crit is rolled when I am using the "&{template:atkdmg}" ( https://wiki.roll20.net/5th_Edition_OGL_by_Roll20 ) is the sheet I am using. Any help is greatly appreciated

I'd post in the specific support thread for that game . It's an issue specific to that sheet's rolletemplate and only people who use it will be able to answer. That said, if it uses different rolltemplates for different purposes, its possible atkdmg template isn't set up to use the rnamec field. That's just a guess.

It isn't supposed to work with that template. It is how the sheet calls for regular damage or crit damage when you roll attacks and damage separately. You can find more details on the roll templates for the 5e by Roll20 sheet here (also linked in the wiki you linked to above).

I figured out how to do what i wanted by copying the macro from an attack and then editing it to be what I wanted. If anyone in the future stumbles across this PM me and I might be able to help.
