Hello , I am currently setting up a campaign using the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th Edition ruleset that will also be using the supplement Rough Days and Hard Nights though the adventures from that supplement won't be used til much later in the campaign. It's setting will be 2502 IC aka the year that Karl Franz was crowned emperor and I will say there will be no end times involved in this. Plot lines will be custom rather than following the actual lore from that year on, playing on the instability of an empire with a newly elected emperor and it's many enemies. I will have a co-DM(with a lot more experience DMing) to help out when needed so overall it should go fairly smoothly though as mentioned I am new to DMing myself with limited experience so far with Mutant Year Zero. PDFs will be given out upon joining or full interest in the campaign(though I ask to try to refrain from reading the adventures in Rough Days and Hard nights and keep to pages 86 onward to keep from being spoiled). A discord channel has been setup exclusively for the campaign and microphones will be expected. RP in the in game chat is more than fine just make sure to speak when spoken to for actual dialogue. Sessions will be recorded and the group can decide if they will be posted publicly or not for future reference through my channel. It's ok to want to keep it private. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay has a large focus on less combat focused roles just as well as not. So expect quite possibly heavy amounts of actual roleplay, politics, non combat activities, and more based on the events transpiring in the campaign as well as the careers that are chosen by the players. I will do what I can to make sure that each career chosen gets their spotlight and interactions based on what they are. For example : If say a Thief and a Fence are present, i would help offer up opportunities for heists or ways to put their skills to use to make the profits such careers focus on. Or if say a Noble is rolled i would offer chances for political intrigue and chances for say a Protagonist(basically merc) to get hired for jobs by said Noble or maybe even their political opponents. Many things might change based on the careers rolled though the events and dangers will continue on as they do, with chances to interact or even to simply leave it alone. Thats up to the party after all. Warning : Warhammer Fantasy 4th Edition has a combat system that can be absolutely brutal. Injuries can happen that deform your character or maybe even cripple them for life. Mutation can occur. Being hunted by Witch Hunters could mean your death. Actual injuries have a very real effect on how you play and you might feel the need to retire such a character which will be allowed so that one can roll another(Exp will be passed on to bring your new character up to speed). Death is a high possibility if things go really wrong. And this is Warhammer, this is Grim Fantasy, expect things to go wrong. Violence, cursing , and many possible horrific things can happen in this world, hence the 18+ tag. If you are sensitive to any of that, do not apply. Or better yet, look up what chaos is(in warhammer), and see if your okay with the possibilities. Should help. Anyway here is the sum up of the final details: - New/ Learning DM with Co-DM - Need 3-5 more players(though it can be run with just 3 total) - It will be ran every other Saturday at 10 am-3 or 4 PM Arizona time. - Mics are expected , Cams are completely optional - Sessions will be recorded but players can opt for it not to be posted publicly - Discord Server is offered - Players will receive all PDFs for free so that they may reference them at any time - Possible heavy RP with less combat based on the careers rolled - Combat is brutal , expect injuries or incredibly painful deaths - New players are highly welcome - Races of Warhammer used for Player Characters from the ruleset are : High Elf , Wood Elf , Dwarf , Human , Halfling , and Gnome (ruleset only uses certain races until there is more supplements) PM me on here or just post here and i will get to you. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
