Character Sheet Visibility

Is there a way to make the whole character sheet (Bio & Info, Character Sheet, Attributes & Abilities) visible to other players without giving the players the ability to edit it? I'd like to be able for them to be able to plan with each other without opening that can of worms.

It's not difficult to make the Bio and Info visible -- Just set the permissions. All of the fields in the character sheet are Attributes, and you can show any Attribute in a macro. I have a macro like this so players can click on a target token and see the Parry and Toughness values (used in Savage Worlds, not D&D).

To be clear, there's no way to show the Character Sheet tab directly. You can, as Mike mentions, create macros to show the contents of the character sheet in chat, but that can be a pain if your system is complex and has a lot of stats, skills, etc. One thing you can do is copy each players sheet, set the copy to editable by all, and then players can look at copies without having to worry about people changing stats. Of course, they wont be up to date if characters change frequently. If you trust your players npt mess things up (either deliberately or accidentally), you can just give them edit rights over all the PCs. I wouldnt do this myself, purely because of the easy of making accidental changes and not noticing for a while. I've done this as GM viewing a pc sheet and thinking I was viewing a different sheet, accidents happen. But it is one way to do it.

And if you haven't already, you can put a vote up for this suggestion:&nbsp;<a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1823028/gm-option-to-expose-character-sheets-to-other-players#post-7854429" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1823028/gm-option-to-expose-character-sheets-to-other-players#post-7854429</a>

Yes, that's Jakob's PublicSheet script. I use it, I didnt mention it because KobunFan isn't Pro. But I probably should have - it's a reason to upgrade.

Mmmm.... well, thank you for all the responses. I... uh.... I just duplicated all the sheets, then made them allowed to be edited by all players.

Remember that you can also choose to make the duplicate to be visible to everyone except the player who have that sheet, so that players don't see both their own sheet as well as the duplicate. Depending on how much visible handouts/characters your campaign have, de-cluttering their view might be a good idea, or at least name the duplicate clearly so that they don't confuse which sheet is their private sheet only they can touch.
