Warlock (AS&SoH2E) – Human Hermaphrodite -Doña Phicenta Thragiella De Thrul - The Fictionaut (New Player)   Game Summary for Sunday Evening (10/26/2019): It is now 25 days into the adventure (since setting off in the Belle Venture), and 6.5 hours into day 19. It is now late August. Things start off when 3 Piercers, slug-like creatures that look like stalactites, fall from the 10 to 15 ft high ceiling towards, Perren, Rowan and Xilicien! Xilicien the elf magic-user, is pierced as the other to fall off to the sides of Perren and Rowan! Xilicien, takes 9 damage plus 3 more from acid!   Initiative rolls are made as Round #01 of Combat starts. Maevis the bard, cast his Magic Missile spell, 2 missiles each, going to Piercer #02 and #03, dealing 6 damage to #02 and 5 damage to #03! The piercer #01, stuck in Xilicien now tries to slam, then bite him but Xilicien bats it back! Grax the dwarf fighter, scores a solid hit on Piercer #03 for 10 damage with his +1 Merthúvial Long Sword, with a little help from his magical Gauntlets of fencing. Piercer #02 tries to slam Xilicien but missed! Coal Blackstone the ranger, fires an arrow at point black range of 6-30ft, hitting Piercer #01 for 9 damage, killing it! Sheila the Cleric, hits Piercer #02 with her magical +1 footman’s mace fro 10 damage, defeating it! A large Carrion Crawler, resembling a cross between a giant green cutworm and a huge cephalopod, 9 feet long with eight, two feet long tentacles, accomp a nied by a rank, fetid odor, drops from the 6 feet wide hole in the cavern passage ceiling, towards Perren the cavalier knight!   Round #02 of Combat: Maevis, cast the Burning Hands spell at the Carrion Crawler dealing 15 hit points of damage after it fails it’s saving trow vs spells rolling 12 needing ≥ 16. Grax, hits the Carrion Crawler with his magical +1 Merthúvial Long Sword, dealing 9 damage, killing the creature! End of Combat! Coal, recovers an arrow. Perren, has a look on and in the bodies of the carrion crawler and piercers but nothing of value is to be found! Cassandra the witch, fly up the 6 feet wide hole in the ceiling seeing that it goes on for some 3,000 ft before ending with a large rock wedged partly into the hole at the top, leaving an opening only large enough for a Halfling or Gnome to squeeze through. Heading up a north easterly passage they come into large cavernous area with a pool of water. Area Description: The path ends at the edge of a chamber. Filling the chamber is a large pool of water of unknown depth. A row of moss covered boulders stretches about halfway across the chamber toward an exit on the other side. The ceiling is free of stalactites and the walls are coated with fungi. The water ripples as if a slight current were flowing through the pool. Cassandra, flies over the pool of water and has a look down the passage on the other side, which continues for some 700+ ft and returns to the party. One by one, Cassandra flies the party over the pool of water and down the passage, until the whole group is there. They come to a split in the passage taking the north east one, instead of the north west one. Grax and Perren find themselves caught stuck in spider webbing as dungeon master rolls indicated. The party hears voices in a language no one knows and lights coming from another passage. The party is attacked by one giant (10ft long) and 3 large (2ft long) spiders that drop down from the 20 ft high ceiling in the area.   Initiative rolls are made and Round #01 of Combat starts: Giant Spider, tries to bite Perren but missed! Large Spider #04, tries to bite Perren but missed! Grax, using his +1 Merthúvial long sword, tries to cut through the webbing which with his strength would take 1 minute to cut through 1 ft. Plus there is a 5% cumulative chance of suffocating each round. Large Spider #03, attacks Perren but missed! Cassandra cast the, There / Not There spell at the webbing. For Grax it is no longer there so he escapes the webbing but for Perren it is still there and thus he’s still stuck, like Grax was cutting away at 1 ft per round. Maevis, decides to cast a Fireball spell, which has a total volume of 33,510 cubic feet or 33.5, 10x10x10 ft cubes) The Fireball does 26 hit points of damage unless a saving throw is made for half damage. None of the Large spiders make their saves and are killed. Grax took full damage while Perren takes 13 damage. The fireball does not hit the Giant Spider. Startled yelps are heard down the passage where the foreign voices and lights were. Coal fires an arrow at point blank range 6-30ft, with the Foeseeker long bow, hitting the Giant Spider for 13 damage! Balen the Bard Jester, tries to charm the giant spider, playing his panpipes but a roll of 54% was to high needing 34%. Rowan fires an arrow with his short bow but missed the Giant Spider!   Round #02 of Combat: Giant Spider, bites Perren for 7 damage and he fails his saving throw vs Poison rolling 1, needing ≥ 8! Perren, dies from the poisonous bite! Grax, stabs at the Giant Spider with his broad sword, dealing 9 damage! Maevis, missed the Giant Spider with his magical +1 long sword! Balen, missed the Giant Spider with his dagger! Rowan fires an arrow with the short bow but missed the Giant Spider! Rown stumbles a bit when his helmet slips but he quickly re-adjusts it.   Round #03 of Combat: Giant Spider Missed trying to bite Grax! Grax delivers the killing blow with his Broad Sword, dealing 8 damage to the Giant Spider! It is now late August. Things start off when the party leery of what awaits them up the north east passage with the small opening where the light and yelping was heard after the fireball went off, sees now that various silver and gold coins are scattered about the floor of the cave passage. After about 10 minutes Sheila picks them up and places the coins in the magical haversack; 44 silver pieces and 100 gold pieces. Coal, asks if anyone wants the venom sacs from any of the spiders. While the giant one’s species is unknown, the large 2 ft diameter ones look like Brown Recluse spiders. Grax, simply wants to burn them all. Maevis, takes the magical lantern from Perren’s dead body. Sheila, removes her magical scale mail and puts on Perren’s old exotic black plate mail with platinum engravings. She puts the matching large shield in the magical haversack. Shiela, prays to Ra, using a Cure Serious Wounds spell to heal up Grax for 10 hit points, bringing him up to 34 hps. Grax, heads up the north east passage with Maevis behind him with the magical hooded lantern. When Grax, goes through the small opening, but does not, as he fails his move silently roll. Grax, is not surprised when several Tasloi jump him! Aiming a bit to high two javelins miss the dwarf, and Combat Round 1 begins as Initiative rolls are made: Tasloi #09, missed Grax with his javelin! Tasloi #06, missed Grax with his javelin! Tasloi #08, scores a critical hit roll of 20 on Grax for 8 total damage! Tasloi #10, fumbles his javelin, but avoids a stumble with a dexterity check roll. Tasloi #05, missed Grax with his javelin! Firing through the dwarf’s leg with his magical Foeseeker +1 Long bow, Coal nails Tasloi #06 for 11 damage, defeating him! Xilicien fires off a Web spell between Grax’s legs, on Tasloi #09, entrapping 5 of the tasloi in the webbing! All fail their saving throws vs spell and are stuck fast. Maevis, cast the Dancing Lights spell to light up the area past where Grax is standing in the passage entranceway. Sheila, cast a Cure Light Wounds Spell on Grax, healing back the 8 damage he took from the javelin. Round 2 of Combat: Rolls were made to see if the trapped tasloi were suffocating from the webbing, at a 5% chance and none were. Coal, fumbles when trying to strike Tasloi #05 and trips up for 4 rounds failing his dexterity check. Maevis, moves south east down the passage from where the spiders were. Sheila, cast a Cure Light Wounds spell on Xilicien healing back 6 hit points. Grax, wearing magical gauntlets of fencing, hits tasloli #01 for 10 damage, dropping him! As Four new tasloi are spotted by Maevis, Initiative rolls were made to start a new round of combat with the new additions. Combat Round 1: Tasloi #04, tries to throw netting onto Grax but missed! Tasloi #02, missed Grax, with his short sword! Balen, moves south to were Maevis went. Tasloi #03, missed Maevis with is short sword! Sheila, stays put. Rowan the Halfling guardian, hits Tasloi #03 for 7 damage, defeating him! Cassandra, stays put while invisible thanks to her ring of invisibility. Grax, nails Tasloi #02 for 8 damage with his broad sword, dropping him! Maevis, throws a magical +1 shell shuriken at Tasloi #04 hitting for 3 damage and he makes a saving throw vs paralyzation so no further damage! Grax, hits Tasloi #04 for 6 damage with the broad sword, defeating him! Tasloi #07, hits Grax for 2 damage with the short sword! Xilicien, stays where he’s at. Coal, is still down from the stumble. Balen, hits Tasloi #07 with his magical +1 Calenyanda long sword for 6 damage, dropping him! End of Combat! Coal, gets up from his stumble, being able to freely move in the webbing thanks to his ring of free action and starts to kill off the stuck tasloi, when suddenly upon seeing a yuan-ti snakeman, he is overcome with Fear after failing a saving throw vs spells, and runs off southward past the party, maevis attempting to clothe line him with a wrestle move but fails, as Coal also tries to subdue the maneuver! Coal, is seen to run back up towards the party after about a minute and a half, shouting in fright that there are more tasloi and continues up the south eastly passage off the main one where the tasloi were.
