Monster Names & Initiatives

I set up several tokens a few weeks ago, deleting the names in the character sheet but not on the front page. This way I could roll in the open and no names would appear, but I would know what the monsters were. When I was setting up tokens today I saw that now if I delete the names for new character sheets the rolls still show. I tested it out a bit and now the rolls only don't show if I delete the name on the front page of the character sheet, which means I don't know what the monsters are in my manual. Perhaps you would consider reversing this 'fix'?

What sheet are you using? Most of the more popular sheets have a setting to whisper the results to the GM, or in your case, not to include the name of the monster in the roll template. Deleting the name on the character sheet is probably not a good idea.
True, but I would prefer to roll in the open, just without everyone seeing the monster name. The work around I was using was deleting the name on the character sheet, but keeping the name on the character/token page. Suddenly the name on the token page is being used for rolls and not the name on the sheet. As the token page name is also what appears in the journal tab if I delete that I only have the picture to go by, which is a problem.

Eventually something will likely break by not having a character_name field filled (depending on the sheet). You still have not said which sheet you are using, but assuming it is the D&D 5e by Roll20 sheet, there is an option on the settings tab of every character to show or hide the name of the creature making the rolls. Here is the setting: Here is before and after:
