The Mighty Fall 7/11/109 Dear Father, We, the Fenrir Irregulars, are far more powerful than I ever imagined, at least Valdus and Velma are- they killed an ancient frilled dragon in an attack each! Let me catch you up. We were still in what used to be California, near Keegan's home, and I was talking with the AI controlling the satellites. It was named ANICHe, and it had recognized Rex as Major Hawk from Rex' serial #. There were a couple of important subjects that it had. On Clark Kent As I had discussed previously I had found a book in Castle Rock on the CosmoKnights, but it had the section on Clark Kent edited out! The first piece of missing info from Aniche was that Kent was possibly the most powerful of all, but after an encounter with an unknown mineral lost his gentler side. He went from one of the greatest heroes into one of their greatest foes. He has even killed 14 fellow Cosmo Knights! An individual from another reality came through with a red colored mineral. Clark Kent now wore a collar with the mineral. He was wearing it in the video we had seen about the moon. Info on Satellite Network Plan for attack is that local control only. This location has gone to local only. IFF pathways (circuitry) had been burned out. The communication antenna is located on mountain close by. When IFF went down, all items not in Artemis net was deemed hostile, so other satellites were shot down. This happened longer than 99,999 days ago, the maximum number that Aniche could calculate time in. Cadence, the metal lion, asks Rex if there is an error somewhere. How is this system preventing Clark Kent from getting through? Answer- Just using the old missiles and lasers- He tries to come down every 94 days. Keegan asks for recording of it- Rex sees Kent charging towards Earth from the Eastern sky- starts with lasers which seem ineffective, missiles move him away, and he seems to stop moving. He gets knocked out of orbit, and goes out of range. The missiles are high yield nuclear explosions. The satellites never run out of ammunition since the satellites convert sunlight to matter! Absolutely amazing technology. We all wanted to know about communication between satellite control sites, and it was revealed that the closest repository is Cheyenne Mountain. This was the main communications hub. Of course that area was close to the great crater that had been Denver. We learned that Castle Refuge, our home, had fallen! Dwarves had come to Alpine seeking refuge. Keegan set up the dwarf refugees from Castle Refuge. While this was happening we all contributed to a mood ring for ThorFrid, which would allow us at a glance to see her mood. We left on June 17th on the train trying to get to Castle Refuge. It took us 5 days to get to Castle Rock, 2 more days waiting to get next train, and then 3 days to last stop. We drove the KDog the last 92 miles from Castle Refuge. What we found was astounding! The entire castle was on fire! There was a giant Royal Green Frilled Dragon being challenged by an almost as large Snow Lizard Dragon! We knew what we would be facing from information given to us by the refugees, and we had prepped extensively. I had given everyone the ability to "Take Down" larger creatures, as well as giving them a "Giant Killer" power. Since ThorFrid traditionally was the first into battle I had given her a number of powers, including flight. The Snow Lizard called out to Keegan- it seemed that a previous encounter with it had caused it to be enamored with our Rock Dwarf friend- we could concentrate on only one enemy! The battle started, and surprisingly Velma, Valdus' Atlantean fiancee, went first into the fray. She had grown dragon horns on her vambraces, and literally punched through the Green Royal Frilled Dragon! Valdus followed with power that I had never seen nor read about coming from his hands! The green power seemed to not just kill the Dragon, but make it cease to exist! The battle was over in a flash of Valdus' amazing green power! Valdus collapsed after this happened, and it was beyond our powers to rejuvenate him. His state was catatonic, but we felt that since he was alive he would recover. ThorFrid rushed off to find survivors, and found guards around the rift room in the bottom of castle and let them know dragon was dead. The Shadow Broker, Rex' employer, said that as far as he was aware the only power that could have done what Valdus had done was the Atlantean god of destruction! He was going to research what just happened, as the dual Atlantean gods are dead. One day after collapsing Valdus wakes up., and Velma, who had kicked all of us out, let me know that he was awake. I had been sitting just outside in the hall, and I let the rest of our relieved group know. Keegan had been trying to find out where the Snow Lizard Dragon had gone, as it had said on departure that it was holding Keegan's "other girlfriend', Robin Hood. Someone reported that there is an area that always gets colder- the area near the toy store where we had acquired the strange toys before, Al' T y arn.
