duplicate a game to another account without hosting it?

I created a 100 map module template with notes, roll tables, lair actions and suggested scenarios for anyone who needs some inspiring ideas or a quick game to throw together.

I found out I have to have a paid account to share it with people. Before I open my wallet, I have some questions. Maybe someone can point me to the correct blog.

- Is there a limit on how many times a game can be duplicated?
- As a pro account user, can I give a copy of my game to a free member GM?
- Will each game duplicated be hosted on my storage space or hosted by the person I share it with for them to do as they please?
- Do local art assets and sound from library copy over, or does only approved art assets and music from the library copy over?
- Do all layers, handouts, and character sheets stay intact or are there room for bugs?

Roll20 only allows you to duplicate a game for your own account. You cannot give copies of your game to other members. It doesnt matter if your pro or free.

You can make as many copies of a game for your own use as you like. It doesnt take up any of your storage capacity. The art assets or audio files you use for a campaign are stored in a separate storage, outside of your campaign.

So if you upload a map of size 1MB, say, it will take up 1MB of your capacity. You could use that map in 10, 20, or a 100 campaigns, it still only takes up 1MB total.

When you copy a game (again, for your own use only), you get to choose which elements of the game you want to copy - if you include maps, characters, and handouts, they'll be copied perfectly. There's always room for bugs, but I cant remember seeing any.

If youre a pro user and have scripts installed, they are the one thing that doesnt copy - you have to reinstall them in the copied campaign manually.

As an addendum: you can make copies of your game, and let other people be GMs of them. Being a GM does allow them to do everything they need to to run that game, but it isn't their game. They cant copy out art assets, for example.

You can do this as a free user, you dont need to be Plus or Pro. If the GMs want to use Pro or Plus features with the campaign, they can't. Those features are dependent on the game creators membership level.

I'll add one addendum to GiGs' good rundown. If all the work in the game is your own including, but necessarily limited to, art and writing; you might be able to become a Roll20 marketplace creator and make it a module or add on that people could get from there. I'm not sure if free modules/add ons are allowed or not.
