Token Bouncing and other UI issues

I’m having real trouble with the interface responses.  The main issue is that when I move a token it frequently just bounces back.  This happens whether I drag and drop or use key presses to move.  Other issues include when I shift click on a token (to open character sheet), it will do one of several things, such as a ping, grab, shift focus or - eventually - open character sheet.  This is making it virtually impossible for me to run a game smoothly.  I have been using Safari but switched to Firefox to give that a go.  It seems to happen less with the latter but hasn’t gone away (not a chance I’m using Chrome).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks.
