Game of Thrones?

Does anyone on here play the Song of Ice & Fire RPG from Green Ronin? I haven't yet but I'm really interested to play a game.
I've tried in the past to get a game of the ground problem is finding a DM
I'm definitely not surprised by that issue.

I find that the game system is very flawed. It's rules-heavy as shit, there are rules for stuff like "conversation" and it doesn't provide enough details into stuff like: - What are all the houses/their words/their sigil ? - What are the different types of weapons and armor and how they are different ? (There should be more than 5 armors one can chose from provided he has the money/access to them) - How large is Westeros, what's the current population density, what was the past population density, how many of them are farmers ? How many of them own land ? How many of them reside in cities/village ? How many knight errands does a lord have ? How easy/hard is to arm/sustain an army... etc Thus, the GM needs to have read the ASOIF books a few times and have limited "macro" knowledge about medieval societies. Even so, I found myself disliking the system, you basically need a gentleman's agreements between players to not create "power-fantasy" characters, since the system easily allows for it. Also, even if character creation goes well you still have the problem of leveling up and the constrains that are put around any social interactions. In a game based on a book about intrigue and deception you would think that they wouldn't narrow down conversation to a complex "charisma check", but that is what they do. I would strongly suggest trying to go with a modified version of the Pendragon rules or a home-brewed d20 rule-set rather than sticking to the books.
Would be interested as well. I've played a few times but no expert. George points might be valid but havent ran into any of those problems in the games I was in.
The points George brings up could be said bout any setting. Oh we can't DM star wars cos we dont know bout x y or z, heck they released a campaign guide to give ya all the details bout various regions, places etc you might need. As for the "charisma check" conversation, that isn't true. There is a mechanic to "verbally duel", but it doesn't replace talking. Its supposed to be used to say convincelord A to help you attack lord B. Instead of the standard I roll d20+7 uI'dget in say dDND, instead there is a back and forth and it fits the setting beautifully. It also leads into the next point, if you build that " fantasy power" guy, any DM worth his salt will make you learn not to min-max. High fighting? Guess who is going to have a low intrigue defense and thus get convinced to turn traitor and attack the rest of the party. High persuasion? You probably ain't that good with a sword, so incoming hitmen coming your way. My rant aside, the game has its problems ( like many others), I'd still love to play it though ^^
So we've got plenty of players.... And no GM haha. Anyone wanna give it a shot? I've ran plenty of 4E games but never this though. But I could give it a try.
I think ASOIAF depends more on having a good group dynamic than other games, but it's an undeniably interesting setting for a game. I would be very interested if a willing GM could be conjured.
if anyone ever finds GM for this I would be in, but dont expect myself to GM cause I cant even handle Rogue Trader XD

I already GM two games a week so would like to play at least one, otherwise I woulda volonteered. Anyway, sending invites to those that seemed interested to get the ball rolling on a potential game.

is there currently a Song of Ice & Fire RPG game running?

I have been toying with the idea of a play by post GoT or L5R game where we get together like every other week to hash out certain encounters. Most of the game would be play by post though. Would anyone wamt to take a crack at it?
