April 8-9, 2946 The PCs begin in a very bad spot. Jailed, stripped of all of their items, and they do not even know who they are bring held by. As Fosco begins to come to grips with Hauz’s death, the Party tries to search their cells for means of escape, but before they can find any, an old friend comes walking down the hallway. Its Grisha! That’s right, good ole Grisha! The PCs are so overjoyed to see her, that Fosco hurls a rock at her and momentarily holds her captive. Ultimately, she convinces them that there is no way out, and that she does not have an option but to follow her lords whom she calls The Ravens. Grisha takes the PCs through the castle that the Party sees is being repaired by the orcs. They are led into the library where they discovered the books only to see Hauz’s corpse lying on a large table, candles all around him and the black books they found opened to various pages. From the secret room at the back, they hear a female voice singing a strange tune. And who should appear, why its Woedwyn! Good ole Woedwyn! Gee, I wonder what she’s doing here? Woedwyn laments the poor start their relation got off to. People have not been truthful with eachother. She offers them a way to win back her trust. Travel to the Hut of Irk and secure the location for her brother Validen. If the PCs do this, then she says she can use its magical waters to bring Hauz back to the world of the living. She also offers to return some of the PCs items in exchange for “little favors.”During the night, Hirgond and Lorfalma are brought back by Azkhala and placed in cells. Hirgond is about in the same condition as before, namely bad. Bad condition. The PCs accept the bargain, and set out (the next day) with Validen and three of the dwarven guards. They proceed south with the flock of cerbain circling over head. The only thing they see out of the ordinary are a few horsemen who seem to observe them for a time and more off to the north. Validen sets up camp, and the PCs continue south alone. As they reach a crossroads, they notice odd statues near the road. Radril calls the Pukle-men, statues made by the Wose to make and magically guard their territory. The PCs cross the road, and continue to circle around the hut. That night, they are surrounded by Wose and confronted by their leader, Aenen. He relates that all are welcome at the hut for a “donation.” Water can not be taken away from it, however, unless a huge donation is made because there is apparently only one receptacle that can carry it without its magic draining away. The PCs are eventually taken to the hut at midnight, and told to be careful inside because the hut protects itself. The Party overcomes or avoids most of these traps on the way to finding a small room filled with large, clay fired vases and a book. The book appears to be concerned with magical things; crafting, enchanting, and wishes, but it will take a lot of time to study it. They open one of the vases to find it filled with ashes and bits of bone. I’m sure the Wose will be totally fine with that! They then shake the others, some of them rattle. Not all are filled with ash!
