Is there a way to make character sheets in Roll20 without having a game?

I'm part of a game next week and trying to upload my character, but also want to upload a few others to use in the future is there a way to do this?

Hi Morgan,

welcome to roll20.  What rpg system and sheet will you be using?  For the lion's share of the sheets on roll20 you will need to manually enter your character info.  There are a few sheets (i.e. pathfinder community sheet, and...?) that allow some form of import, usually from HeroLab but often not everything will transfer over and you'll still need to adjust the sheet even after importing.  Usually, the game creator will add a sheet and assign permission to an appropriate player to edit in their games.  You can also create your own game that uses the same rpg system and sheet that the GM is using, create a character and then if allowed by the GM, import your character to their game.

DnD 5e, I don't care if I have to manual enter things, I just don't know where to go to find the input options.

When a game is created, the game creator chooses a character sheet from the list of available sheets (and there are a lot of them).  So, no, there isn't a way to create a character outside of a game, since entering a game is how you access character sheets.

As Vince mentioned, you can create games yourself, choose the sheet/system you intend to play, and create as many characters as you want.  If you are needing to know how to generate a character sheet in game, then you should hit up the wiki for information:  https://wiki.roll20.net/Journal
