Dragomir Leana tells Drago that she doesn't need a focus any longer, but that she used to use a kindle gem. She spends most of the time trying to help him overcome his fear. At the end of things she hands him a small orb with a burning flame inside. It's her old kindle gem. It's a focus that can also be used to start fires, and put them out with the same power of Prestidigitation. Orithar Orithar discovers that trying to find The Magian is more or less suicidal for most people. If you want to meet with him you have to make your way through his castle which is full of magical tests, traps, and monsters. Even if you do make it the awnshegh man is just as likely to kill you as he is to help you. A strong group who doesn't mind the risk could attempt to meet with him. If things go well the rewards could be great. Fenris Lady Tanya Angelwing has tea with Fenris, and accepts his apology. However her mood, and attitude isn't particularly welcoming. She tells Fenris that if he really wants to make it up to her he can deal with a murder of Axe Beaks plaguing her lands. Nubby Nubby doesn't find much, but he hears rumours about a ship known as The Shadow Queen. It used to be owned by a sidhelien warrior mage by the same name, but after she perished the ship supposedly disappeared. Recently there have been reports of the sky suddenly changing to night time, and a crew of spiritual and ghost pirates riding the ship. Supposedly they will murder anyone they find before looting unless they are offered moon sugar or cheese. If granted either of those offerings the ghost pirates will leave in peace. Hafr Hafr reads of many sidhelien folk in the Sielwode who are great craftsmen and women, but doesn't find particularly what he is looking for. It's at least a good clue for a place to start looking. Marlmo Marlmo begins to learn from Orithar about being a cleric. He will still need to find a church of Nesirie to grant him power which might be somewhat difficult considering his race. Some large churches to the goddess are the Peaceful Seas of Nesirie, the Eastern Temple of Nesirie, and the Coastal Temple of Nesirie. The Coastal Temple of Nesirie is likely the best bet as it resides in the realm of The Siren. (week 1/3 towards being a cleric). OOC: multi-classing into a new magical class requires 3 weeks of downtime. You'll need to find a church willing to take Marlmo in as a priest. You can go ahead, and do the first 2 weeks of training in the meantime, or even all 3 if you want to. However you won't be able to up your level until you are invested with Nesirie's power. This can be done without a church, but is EXTREMELY difficult (almost impossible) without some sort of life altering event that would essentially make your character a prophet of that god. Rvannun Rvannun continues his training with Princess Niobhe. She's started to warm up to Rvannun some, and isn't quite as cold as she once was. She shows a bit of humanity crying in worry for her father's safety at one point. Though she insists that wasn't the case if asked about it. Jaidiele Jaidiele levels up. Korak Korak finally finishes learning Sylvan from Cordie. The Forge Master Foguvar Hillfeet tells Korak that she could make something, but it would take a long time and a large amount of coin. She says she could make a few different things with it depending on his preferences. The item(s) being crafted would affect the price. Hedrin Hedrin begins learning the proper use of the greathammer (maul) form the dwerren in Daikhar Zhigun. He'll need more time to finish learning it. Kelara Trollbreaker teaches Hedrin for half the usual price. Lolgon Lolgon fails to find a smith capable of crafting such a thing. They all inform him that creating a lance light, agile, and tough enough isn't possible. Not even mythriall could make such a weapon. He'd need to find a new material, or some type of magic to get a weapon of the like. It'd be a marvel of smithing. The Archpriestess will sell him a holy symbol at cost. A proper book would cost 100 gold pieces however. Savas Savas trades letters with Eirena, and learns Rjuven whilst staying in Svinik. Roland Roland doesn't manage to find any new information this week. Jannis Jannis finds out that most people do not care much either way. However the average folk do have some respect for Furst Oden Rohr who is the rightful heir of the land. He hears stories about the Furst's father who was slain by The Boar. There are stories and songs being sung by bards of the incident. The Furst died valiant, cursed by The Boar. His grave lies silent, and he lives no more. Yet his throne sits empty, save for his ghost. He cannot rest easy, till the beast lay o'ere his moat. A son and a brother, fight for what is not theirs. For the Furst holds his crown, till The Boar is brought down. May the one who seeks vengeance, be granted the crown! Lindal Lindal improves his battle skills (level up). Shlar Shlar discovers a story about The Green Eyed Monster. Once a sidhelien woman, this demon sits on the bridge that is the only way to cross The River of Souls. In her life she went by the name Parsee, and was originally just a quiet farmer's daughter. Her husband ultimately cheated on her, and she murdered the woman that he slept with in cold blood before doing the same to her husband. From there she went a jealous rampage, ultimately becoming envious of everyone around her; even in completely irrational ways. She became a notorious murderer who was said to have killed over 1,000 innocent people, and many more who were guilty of crimes not worth the judgement of death. When she died she traversed to the realm of the gods, but she was so envious of their glory that she attacked them in her madness. It was said that she actually managed to to leave a scar on Haelyn's cheek, and for her crime she was punished to sit on The Bridge that is No Longer Crossed. Her demonic green eyed soul now lives there in lonely misery, just desiring true love and acceptance. She's extremely dangerous, and will even become enraged in envy of others' misery. Considering she is already dead, and has passed onto the world of the departed killing her is exceptionally difficult. Supposedly if her soul can finally be soothed she will be allowed to cross back into the realm of the gods, and the bridge will be much easier to cross. How exactly to do that is another story entirely. Brognir Brognir spends some time with the Dwerren there, but the barrier for communication is surprisingly difficult. In some ways the languages being so closely related actually makes things more difficult than learning an entirely new language. Robert Robert crafts his potion of healing using supplies from this week. Shango Shango does some research, but finds absoluately nothing he was looking for. Sithric Sithric spends some time trying to work on his new creation, but doesn't manage to successfully get something that is working yet. He loses half the coin he spent on materials from the failed experiment (15gp lost). Eirena Eirena shares her letter, and does some research. Aside from the ways already mentioned, there are stories of ice maidens being bargained with. However none of the stories go into any details on what was traded. They just mention they were bargained with in exchange for releasing one of their enthralled. Eirena levels up. Darvius Darvius finally gets the hang of thieves' tools. Thorg Thorg levels up. Agatha Agatha finally gets a strong handle on Sylvan, but her letter isn't returned by Dietric. It's returned by his sister who informs Agatha that her brother has recently gone missing, and he didn't take his drake with him. She asks Agatha if she has any clue on where he might be. Nim Nim begins practicing how to paint, but the progress is slow with the jumble of voices in her head. The other girls all immediately get jealous, and throw outrageous fits that Anne is getting special attention. It makes it hard to learn anything. The boy is indeed doing fine, and Nim gets her tattoo. Nim levels up. Prudence Prudence, and Agatha find that their nomadic druid has passed away whilst they were gone. Some of the locals take them to the druid's resting place underneath a great tree. An elderly woman gives each of the twins a cloak that allows an awnshegh (a tiefling) to assume an ordinary appearance whilst wearing it. The two cloaks are in Prudence's and Agatha's favorite colours respectively. No one says it directly, but it becomes obvious to the twins that their old caretaker's death was a result of making these magic items. Making magic items in Cerilia usually requires life essence of some sort. These cloaks require attunment for the magic to function, and only work for an awnshegh (tiefling). The cloaks are linked to the twins, and their magic will vanish 1 year and a day after each of their deaths. Prudence doesn't manage to master the language she's practicing as she's too distracted with these heavy matters. Portia Portia continues learning from Mamm, but she's still having trouble wrapping her head around much of the language. Berry Berry gives free hugs. He's rewarded with free hugs. Ant Ant learns Anuirean, and begins preparring his gifts. Mamm Mamm gets Nim's tattoo done, and continues her project. Skag Skag starts training with the longbow, but he's still having trouble hitting the mark. Diesa Diesa finally manages to learn High Brecht as her time in court pays off. Galena Galena begins learning how to cook, and gets a hug from Berry Brambles. Aubrae Aubrae continues studying Basarji, but doesn't manage to get a complete grasp of the language yet. She has at least picked up a few key words and phrases however. The Sulatana is pleased with the woman's efforts, and thanks her for the update. Aubrae levels up
