April 10-12 2946 As the ash from the jar began to pull itself free and drift towards the exit, the PCs decided that disturbing it was wrong. They opened no other jars, and instead moved back to the central chamber. There, they investigated their surroundings eventually discovering a second secret door and deciding that the noon time sun would open it as the midnight moon had opened the other. As the sun hit the back wall, the second door opened and the PCs proceeded. They discovered a long stairwell and climbed down it, but failed to see that it was trapped. The stairs withdrew and the PCs were dropped into quicksand, although they did manage to escape. Eventually, they came to a second, stone door.  On the other side of the door, they found an odd chamber. Roughly egg shaped and holding a large tree seemingly wrapped in intricate silver work resting in an opaloid pool. All around it, strange fog filled the air, and its unworldly leaves seemed to blow in an unseen breeze. The only other notable items were a very life-like statue, and a huge diamond in the water directly under it. The PCs also discovered that the waters were indeed healing. Skari even got back his eye, and his damaged hand was restored after floating in the water for an extended period. After searching the room, Fosco eventually went for the diamond. At that point, the statue came to life and attacked the Party. What followed was a long, hard fought battle that was really only won because of the healing power of the pool was at their disposal. And yes, Fosco died again. But only for a little bit. The statue defeated, the PCs retrieved the diamond, and eventually confronted Anene who waited for them at the exit to the hut. He informed them that the diamond was a great evil, and the statue was meant to guard against anyone taking it. He also demanded that a soul was needed to create a new Pukle-man guardian.  Together, the Party made a plan. Making an alliance with the Wose, they would lure the siblings to the hut by pretending they had suceeded. Aenen would then use them to create new Pukle-men and the Party would be rid of a manjor foe. But first, Aenen needed them to help him re-consecrate the jar they opened to put the spirit that resided there back to rest.
