April 13 2946 The Party decided to leave Skari befhind and set off with Aenen and two of his Wose warriors. The new allies waited by the roadway that marked the boundary to their land, and sep an ambush for Valoric and his dwarven guards—poorly. The Party proceeded on to Valoric’s camp. They did spy a murder of crows coming from the north that eventually closed on them and swamred around the PCs for a moment before heading back north. Once face to face with Valoric, Fosco and Radril managed to convince him that they had taken over the hut by pretending to win over the Wose leader (whose pendant Fosco now wore), and then betraying them. Valoric very much approved of these methods and seemed genuinely impressed with the PCs. He chatted with the ravens in the nearby trees and then they flew off to the the north towards Woedwyn’s castle. Everything was going pretty well, until the PCs closed on where the Wose were supposed to ambush Valoric. They were clearly visible, and Valoric became suspicious. Fosco flashed a symbol to Aenen, whom Valoric seemed to recognize, and then the hobbit turned and stabbed him. A long combat began that ultimately saw both PCs invisible and victorious. All of his guards killed and convinced he could not run, Valoric surrendered promising that Woedwyn would exact revenge. One of the Wose managed to grab his very magical shortsword. To the north, as the PCs headed back to the Wose village with their prize, once again the cerbain swarmed south but seemed unwilling to cross the road making the barrier to the Wose territory. Now, it the PCs opted to wait and see if Woedwyn would take the bait and come to the hut herself.
