My Custom Animated Tokens do not have a transparent background

Hiii. Been working on a little tactical rpg style campaign here and I made a couple tokens that I wanted animated. When I place them in gif or webm form, they have a white background surround it, whereas if I had animations disabled, those backgrounds become transparent again. Is there any way to make the background transparent while animated? Any help would be very appreciated.

What software are you using to create the gif and webm formats?
At the moment, I'm using an online tool to make them. https://ezgif.com/maker This is the resulting test character I have made from this website.

The background color is part of the image. The software you use will composite the frames onto a background. I'd suggest using something else. I often use The GIMP fir crating gifs.
Okay, awesome. Thank you! I’ll give that a go and see how it turns out. I still think its weird though, the gif I uploaded up there has a transparent background on Discord and on Roll20 (only if animations are disabled) but it not when it’s playing the animation on Roll20.

Gifs have done weird options. It could be that the animated frames each have a background, and the first frame doesn't. If you see flicker in the animation, that might be the case. It could also be something with discord and the Roll20 preview assuming a given index in the palette is transparent. If you keep having problems with the background on GIMP, I can dig in a bit more with your files.
I've made a new gif from GIMP and the result appears to still be the same. What I have noticed though is the file format changes on upload, becoming a webm file instead of a regular gif file in my image library. I'll send you the 6 frames I'm using and the newest gif if you wanna test it for yourself, its probably that I don't quite know how to properly make a gif on GIMP yet. I've set each frame to replace each other with no background layer and a 200 millisecond delay between frames. That's the gif These are the 6 frames. They've been named/numbered in order from '1EtnaB' to '6EtnaB'.

Ok, I tried your gif in my game and I get the transparent background. What Operating System and Browser? (and what versions of each?)
I’m using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 64-bit I suppose I should be using Chrome or a more optimised browser? Either way if it works for your computer then that’s the green light to animate the rest of my tokens.

AH. That is the issue. Chrome or Firefox are the supported browsers. Edge doesn't have all the features working completely.
