The Nordic Kingdom (1) Fiirthguard , The Norse Capital Estimated Population: One Hundred Thousand Ruling God: Odin Common Races: Dwarves, Humans, Goliath, some Drow Heir/Heiress : Thor Military General: Tyr Culture: Head of the Nordic Kingdom and seat to the mighty All Father. Here Odin watches and directs his armies and people from a throne made of spears used in battles won. The culture is a warrior mentality, might makes right. It isn’t uncommon for people to be challenged outright in the streets to combat, which lead to brutish slug fests and sometimes even death.While the ruling family all lives here, rarely are they found within the tall palisades that guard Firth-guard, nomadically seeing over all of their lands and traveling with grand navies from port to port. The Capital of the Norse Kingdom treats all races as equals, so long as they work their worth and contribute to the progress of the general ambitions. The wealth is nearly equal across every face, equal taxes and living quarters for all within its confines leading to a sense of communal strength that is not seen anywehere else in the Panthea world. It is well known that the Nordic Longships are created here, where their dominating navy hails from to conquer the northern seas. (2) Frostforge , The Coldest Steel Estimated Population: Two Thousand Overseer: Ymir Common Races: Dwarves, Humans, Goliath, Giant Culture: Before the Cataclysm there was war between the gods and the Frost Giants, constantly battling in the high mountains as eternal rivals causing even the thunder to tremble from their clashing. Shortly after the gods fell from the sky, the Giant King Ymir and the All Father Odin came to pact agreement of mutual benefit, thus leading to the creation of the Frostforge. Run by Giants as the ruling class, this small town is protected by wooden Palisades that are encovered in ice nearly ten inches on either side leading to practical natural defenses. Within its walls are nearly a hundred forges, run day and night by the citizens and crafting the most detailed metals in all of the north. It is said that when someone reaches adulthood within this community, that they are given either an armor or weapon of their choosing engraved with the finest giant runes. (3) Fenrirs Prison Estimated Population: 80-100 Overseer God: Tyr Common Races: ???? Culture: Very little is known about this place, other than it is where the World Eating Wolf resides, son of Loki ; Fenrir. After the Cataclysm the wolf was battled against for nearly a year, before being chained up once again by his old friend Tyr. The massive cave that houses him is guarded heavily by a century of the most prized warriors of Tyr's guard, the encampment often having scouts in the nearby hills and mountains to prevent anyone from drawing too near. Those who are occupied here for even a short amount of time, often are haunted by the howls of the wolf trapped inside... (4) Valkyris , Home of the Valkyries Estimated Population: Six Thousand Overseer: Freya Common Races: Humans, Dwarves , Aasimar, Genasi Culture: The military headquarters for the Nordic people, led by a society of female warriors known as the Valkyries. Heading this fearsome outpost is Freya, wife of Odin and Queen of the snowing skies. Many of the warriors here are trained to fight in the frozen conditions, but also well versed in naval combat as well as ambush tactics. It is said that those who are born here and trained from a young age are also gifted the ability to fly by Freya herself, although that remains to be seen by outside eyes. Magic here respected as a gift from the gods themselves, often being taught to harness the cold environment to their benefit and even to some rare degree's the weather itself. Those taught to become Valkyries can imbue their weapons and those of their allies, leading to small forces of nearly unstoppable flying warriors. The most elite of these join Freya's personal guard, "The Harpies Hand". (5) Widowbranch Forest , Bark of Ice and leaves of snow Estimated Population: ????? Overseer: None Common Races: Mostly unknown, although it is said that there are nomadic camps of Drow that roam them. Culture: The Widowbranch forest is well known for its constant snowfall and obscurity of light. Always in a frost, it is filled with creatures of horror and mystery alike. Few know about it, for even the ranger parties of Ullr are wary of entering its grip. The tree's are always coated in a thick layer of ice, preventing most creatures from climbing their height, and the leaves are said to fall from heavy winds and turn into frozen razor blades. Enter at your own risk. (6) Twins Trauma , Eternal Battleground Estimated Population: Two Overseer: ????? Common Races: N/A Culture: It is said that two dragons, who were once brothers rage here for the last twenty years. Half frozen waste, half molten rock, it nobody has ever dared to set foot on the fraternal battleground. Though it is said that shards of magical crystals dot the island, which when forged can create the most powerful weapons known to mortals and gods alike. While this island is not officially occupied by any armies, the Nordic Navy often assaults any who try to draw to near to it.
