Since one of my players has had to drop out (temporarily) of the Curse of Strahd campaign I'm currently running, I'd like to bring in someone new so we'll once again have a group of 5. I have been playing 5e for about three years now and this is my second time DMing a full campaign. I have modified the published Strahd adventure somewhat, but the structure and mood are still the same. I have played through the story as a player about a year ago, so I know which parts worked and which I felt needed some editing - and my new group really loves it so far! It's a gloomy campaign, but we make sure to have some moments of levity to break the tension. We are about maybe ten sessions in at most (currently leaving the village of Barovia), so whoever would jump in now hasn't missed that much. The players like to take their time and really get to know the world - they love a good fight, of course, but roleplay is the #1 priority. For this reason, I'm looking for someone who loves to engage in RP. Murderhoboing and minmaxing is not allowed . Since the new player would have to be able to hit the ground running, I'd prefer someone who has some D&D experience to make this addition as smooth as possible. The party currently consists of a firbolg druid, a human celestial warlock, a half-orc paladin, and a dwarven tempest cleric. The player who has to take a break played a Vistani bloodhunter - she may return in the future. If you have played Curse of Strahd before, we can make that work - as long as you don't meta game and spoil things for the others, of course. If you'd be interested in joining, please tell me something about yourself, your D&D experience, and your knowledge of Strahd (or lack thereof). You can leave a message here or find me on Discord (Yara#5457). I hope to bring in this new player next week (February 2nd) or the week after that, if possible. (Oh, and being LGBTQ-friendly is an absolute must. Non-negotiable.) We use Roll20 and Discord (voice only) - Sundays from 8 - 11 PM (GMT+1).
