some help for a completely starter

hey guys. just wanted to play D&D or something similar but i dont know anyone who plays and from what i ve seen is kinda to hard to learn by yourself. any help appreciated. and i live in melbourne

Go to youtube and try tabletop gaming and Roll20 in the search fields. There are many hours of actual game play. Get a copy of the Players guide for your favorite game variant and read it through a couple of times. Join games and get your butt fried a few times, that will teach you what not to do.

It depends on the system. You can do the youtube bit or go to the looking for group listing (look up in the blue banner) to find a game that interest you and welcomes new players. Either way works.
