I'm looking very forward to kicking this game off on 1/26. This will be the kind of game that it won't be essential for player to meet every session (for instance, I know one potential player is still serving in the Reserves and has weekend duties - from one veteran to you, thank you for your continuing service, Zac!). Since we have some new folks joining in, guess I should give a little more info. Looks like we'll be setting up character sheets and character's Sunday evening (I'll probably be online earlier in the day if anybody wanted to get theirs done earlier). You can get the official D&D character sheets direct from Wizards of the Coast (the makers of D&D) at this link <a href="https://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/trpg-resources/trpg-resources" rel="nofollow">https://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/trpg-resources/trpg-resources</a> Just select the first one on the left, for Fifth Edition character sheets. We can fill it out together Sunday if you aren't already familiar with filling these out. There is no 'need' for 90% of the info requested, most of this is just so you can 'fill in' the blanks on your character. We'll get the main stuff done Sunday so we have enough to play. Folks who play spell casters (wizard types or cleric types) will have spells for that sheet.. you can look over the spells in the Roll20 compendium for Dungeons and Dragons - they list them all with lots of details. We'll go over all that Sunday as well. So long as you have an idea what kind of character you want to run, and what species (I absolutely HATE that they use the word 'race' to describe demi-human creatures as well as humans, so I don't use it. no issue if you prefer it, just understand when I use the word 'species' that we are talking about the same thing. As long as you know you want to play a Human cleric, or a half-orc paladin, or a goblin thief, or a drow magician, etc, we'll be good to get things rolled up Sunday. If we spend most of Sunday getting players rolled up, no worries, we'll still have time to get an understanding of the world the characters will be in. their place in said word (in a nutshell, not much of one yet.. you are 1st level, afterall).
