Radril and Fosco have managed to lure Woedwyn to the Hut of Irk and have convinced her that her brother is just off wondering around. Amazingly, she buys this and now seems convinced that the PCs are her true friends and allies. She even has them take a moment to hold hands outside the Hut to celebrate their new closeness. But that’s not going to last. In the Hut itself, the PCs lead her through the first few traps further winning her trust. Together, they wait until the light hits the wall that magically opens the leftmost door. They enter, but this is where Aenen and his men are waiting. Betrayal is in the air, and Woedwyn finally smells it. The first thing she does is take off her “cape” and throw it into the air where it becomes some sort of terrifying thing of shadow. She then forces her way out of the dead end and past Radril and Fosco. Now no longer flanked, Woedwyn summoned a huge glob of flesh, mouths, and eyes who continual chanting tried to hypnotize the PCs, unsuccessfully. A long fight ensued with both PCs near the point where they believed they had to retreat and Woedwyn definitely believing she had the upper hand. Instead, Skari and Azkhala finally show up, and the additional Wose begin to rush towards the hut as well. Sensing that she is now outnumbered, Woedwyn opens a magical portal and disappears. Azkhala, looking a bit shell shocked, blinked invisible and ran out of the hut. The PCs tracked her footprints out the door to the hut, but could not longer follow them after that. They were left wondering why the dwarf would turn on her employed at such a dire moment.
