MM1 Monster DnD but no stat block

I've generally not had a problem dragging and dropping a monster from the MM1 compendium on to my game. This week, though, I dragged a creature (Displacer Beast), and the monster stat block (aka Character Sheet) was not added to my journal. I tried deleting all icons and re-dragging, but no luck. How do I manually add or force the stat block into my journal?

Is this a new game? That sounds like the behavior that happens when a character sheet is not assigned to a game.
This is an existing game, and what I was referring to was a creature from the Monster Manual copied from the compendium. I've had no problem doing this in the past, and I was able to do it after the Displacer Beast failed. No idea why this one creature was a problem.

Hmm. Do you have another or previous copy of a Displacer beast in your journal? A Compendium drag would not overwrite it, and if it was somehow corrupted...
That's what I thought, but a search on Displacer or Beast turned up nothing. If it's corrupted, is there a way for me to force a new copy?
