[Weekly Downtime Thread][Spring IV 1525 HC]

Please post any of your downtime activities below. You can find the full rules for downtime here . You can find last week's downtime thread here. Always remember to be specific about what downtime action you are taking! If you're leveling up type that in your post labeled as OOC! If you're looking into an item be specific about where that item is from, what mission, when you got it, who from, etc. If you write "I read that book I found" the DM is likely to have no clue what you are talking about. If you are learning a language, or tool make sure to write down how many weeks you have been practicing! This lowers the DC, and gives advantage depending on the number of weeks. Also a reminder that players only get one main downtime action per week.

Zero Odeh Zero spends his time sneaking around camp and stealing food and drink that he is entitled to.  It's a hard habit to break.  When spotted or approached, he quickly straightens up and tries his best to act like a normal person who belongs here.  It's very likely that he corrects the pronunciation of his name to the people who say it wrong.  "It's fine, but it's pronounced Zeh-Ro Oh-day.  Not a problem.  Just to let you know.  It's fine." Thugnuck Ironwall Does research in the library. He pours over History tomes to gain any insight into the Dwerren Castle, Shadowcrag. He will also go through the History books, Blacksmithing books, and Mining books looking for references to Starmetal and how it was used, made, crafted, etc... Brbl Brbl travelers back to Brightwood Village after talking to the Cohort about the Piney. He spends time getting to know the villagers and their customs so he can be a good citizen. Cedrych When the rest of the Cohort departs for the Isle of Fabrica, Cedrych hands off his log and informs the rest of the Cohort of his downtime plans in case things should go awry: After a day of rest, he goes back to the Temple of Elil to reassess the situation. For a full day, he scouts the Temple from all sides, looking for signs of the Monk, the Beetles, or any other occupants. If it appears that they have all moved on, he checks for tracks to see where the Monk may be heading before carefully crossing back to the Temple. Once there, he tries the Horn of Alarum again, to see if it can still summon invisible stalkers. He searches the area carefully and slowly, making note of anything of value. In particular, he pays attention to the following rooms: Shipwreck - Carefully searching the hold of the ship. Assessing what value unbroken porcelain may hold. Armory (where the Monk was staying) - if any weapons/swords remain of notable quality. Also looking for personal effects of the Monk (diaries, etc.) that may indicate where he's gone. Gnoll Barracks (North of the Armory) - searching in/around the beds Crystal Room - If the insects are gone, he tries to learn more about the Crystal and if it seems valuable. He also checks the room itself. In the event that he finds anything too bulky to carry on horseback (armor, weapons, china, etc.), he returns to Rhyzlevskyy to hire some workers, horses, and a wagon. Willing to spend up to 100g to hire workers (including a translator if need be), rent equipment, and maybe even hire a couple guards. Above all, Cedrych errs on the side of caution; he is trying to gather information to see if the Temple is worth returning to with the Cohort . He only actually goes back into the Temple if he's reasonably certain the coast is clear. In the event of a fight, he uses roguish tactics to disengage and hide. Salazar Salazar accepts Cordie's invitation to the birthday celebration for the Duskhart twins. He takes the opportunity to put faces to some of the many Cohort names he's yet to meet and practice his Sylvan under Cordie's guidance. He goes along with the inevitable pranks, but is sure to patch things up with the victims when all is said and done. He regales Prudence with strange tales and rumours from the Margreve, and attempts to impress Agatha with tidbits of arcane lore he's picked up during his travels. If permitted, he performs some traditional Rjurik folk-songs to mark the occasion. OOC: Learning Sylvan, attempt 1. Kasimir Kasimir returns to the Cohort with the weight of Hana's fate weighing heavily on his mind. He acquaints himself with the Cohort's smithing facilities, as well as the people who spend time there. During the days, he works the forge, repairing and honing whatever tools and weapons the Cohort has need of. In the evenings, he searches the Library's holy and history books for mentions of the name Thinvasxea. OOC: Kasimir levels up to Cleric 2.

Cordie Location: Bardenhold, Abbatour - Roseone (Comfortable lifestyle) Cordie delays her plans to return to the Margreve to accept Prudence's invitation, allowing Salazar to tag along so he can continue 'learning' as she continues to subject him to her unique style of language training. She isn't entirely sure what a birthday is, or how or why you celebrate it, but if gifts are required she'll buy Prudence and Agatha their own witch hats, with holes cut in it to accommodate Prudence's antlers, and an especially wide brim for Agatha, since she seems to like the shade. During her off time she explores the forests of Abbatour, focusing herself on her magics, wanting for more power, more potential for trickery.  (OOC - Major Action: Levelling up. Minor Action: Teaching Sylvan to Salazar.) Additionally, Cordie, at the request of Drago to pay off the favour owed by using his magic bean to rescue Lyla, writes a letter to Queen Freya of Drachenward. She requests that aid be given to him in building his tower/home/whatever he's up to over there on her behalf, as someone who was instrumental in helping to restore Urkenhame, and recently helped score a nice bit of gold for them and Larmedylth. (Paying off favour to Drago - Spending Renown in Drachenward to aid construction) Medi Location: Bardenhold, Abbatour - Roseone (Comfortable lifestyle) Medi gladly accepts Prudence's invitation, grateful for a pleasant break. Before Korak leaves for wherever he's off to she invites him to attend as a friend of hers should he find the time. In preparetion, she fashions together a gift in the form of a leather charm for Prudence to wear on her antlers, with an emerald green crystal set in it to complement the colour of her hair, and a similar leather circlet for Agatha, with a deep, sapphire blue gem in the center. While spending time in Bardenhold, Medi often experiences nightmares about being turned into dust, waking up in a cold sweat feeling powerless and afraid, and having to go on late night walks into the forest to calm herself down. Those who sleep in rooms adjacent to her may be disturbed by these occurrences. She spends a lot of her time with Prudence to distract herself, eagerly sharing her experiences as a new Alseid and learning all she can from her more experienced "older sister". (OOC - Major Action: Learning to Alseid, with Prudence.)
Lucan After returning from Still Tower, Lucan will stay at the Cohort and pour over his spellbook in an attempt to learn some spells he had gained an interest in. (OOC - Major Action: Levelling up.)

Dragomir The Black After speaking with Queen Freya of Drachenward, Drago returned back to the Cohort. He reliease he really doesn't have have much influence with the queen but knows other Cohort members who might. He has gone around and asked other members of the Cohort who do if they would be willing to help him with this task, Speaking with Cordi, Brognir and Shango. Drago approaches Korak for help but he is too busy dealing with politics and planning war, talking about using favor to more troops. He doesn't understand why Korak wants to involve himself in this but understand Korak knows more about this stuff than he does and best to leave it be. He was about to ask him if he would be willing to help him build the tower but Korak seems too busy and Drago doesn't want to bother him.  He asked Cordi is she could help as he gave away his magical bean to a Queen Bee. Drago is a little taken aback by Cordi's willingness to help and couldn't help but hug the tiny halfling. He promises never to try and touch her hat again and hopes once the tower is complete, she would visit and add her own personality to some of the furniture, like the front the door for example or windows. Giving her full creative freedom.  Drago finds Shango and before Drago could finish his request Shango dashes away to gave paper and ink. Shango explains that if it wasn't for Drago at the trail he may still not be in the Cohort or worse facing an impossible task and he would be willing to help with any request the boy had. Drago asks Shango if he would be willing to help him design the top the tower to best use the wind or make a little garden at the top. Brognir has an important mission around the corner and Drago approached offering him aid with the task at hand. However, the Dwerren seems more interested in a beer-drinking dragon he has heard about. Drago happily agreed to teach Brognir Dragonic and even help him find the little creature. Drago says he has some sway with the leader of the Red Sand and might be able to help convince her to help but the creature would have to be willing. Brognir writes a letter to Queen Freya and Drago promises to try and keep a bottle of Dwerren Milk at his home if Brognir ever needs it.  Drago returns back to Drachenward letters in hand to see how much help the queen would be willing to give him in the matter, building materials and an extra pair of hands can make all the difference. If he lucky maybe they will let him build inside the city or buy a building already inside the city so he isn't pushed out to the sidelines again. He wants the tower to be an honor and to shine and gleam like the scales of Larmedylth. OOC: Major: Shango, Brognir, and Cordi all agreed to help Drago build his home, using their renown to reduce the price. 20 renown from each character for a total of 60! I will be spending the gold to start building Drago Tower 1/5.  Minor: Last downtime you said, "Check with Presphine  around the night of fire" This could be the end of this session or the start of next. If it is this week Drago will stop by and see Presphine before heading on a new Cohort mission.  Orithar Trisk After hearing about members of the Cohort bring a Dragon into its walls Orithar immediately approaches the old man Valravan with his axe in hand. They come to an agreement that for an exchange of knowledge, Orithar will keep away from the Drachenchild why inside the walls of the cohort. Orithar agrees to this and spends one day to copy 250gold worth of spells into his loose pages. He spends his time away from the noise of the Cohort and starts to researching spells in the library, looking at conjuration that don't require them to be memorized and could be cast in a ritual fashion. Something that could help carry large amounts of weight back and forth with ease.  OOC: Major Researching spells.  Minor copying spells from Valravan. Fenris Nathair Fenris did not return to the Cohort from  Baruk-Azhik and travels with the priest of Moradin to the lands of the Coulladaright overseeing the exchange of armed forces. Hoping that this small coalition may be the start strong alliance. Why in the Coulladaright he will ask around for something that would make a perfect gift for Prudence. He will ask the local druids, in druidic of course, and try and buy a special plant seed why in the Coulladaright. If he can't find anything special, he will just collect some seeds that are not native to  Roesone . He arrives at Prudence's birthday party gift in hand.  OOC: Willing to spend renown or gold depending on what the local druids can offer.

Hedrin Hedrin will try and make friends with Arealendael and maybe help her with her social awkwardness as a thanks for teaching him sylvan, he introduces her to his master and some of his friends. Just generally being friendly to her and helping her socialize. He asks her where she is from and why she decided to join the Cohort among other general conversation. Tal, Thrum  (Researching followers of Masela in the lands of Cerillia, hopefully some that are close to Aryia who may have something to say about slaying a blessed girl for her bloodline, he gives them information on Hana and the massive battle coming up. He asks them if they  truly  revere the blood of her god that during the battle they try to get here safely away from the city if they manage to beat back the goblins) Oops posted this for last weeks.  (Minor action: he goes back to his orphanage and buys roughly 25gp worth of toys for the kids. He works on calming down tantrums with the younger children since the one he might have to deal with soon is quite dangerous) Korak  (Flail Training Week 1 and politics) After his most recent mission Korak will ask to speak to Chessa in private inquiring into her plans for Hjorig. He lets it be known his disdain for the current leader and his attitude saying that after the gnoll threat his removal is important for the lands to stay safe from future invaders. He speaks to her of how he is in very good standing with her trade partner and ally King Uldviik Varrigsson of Hjolvar (Noted in kingdom bio on census for Hjolvar) and hopes for him to send some troops over to "assist" with the battle. Korak does say that he is uncertain if the king will send over troops due to the recent Solaria pounding their lands took. At the very least he will ask Uldviik to send over an heir or respected noble of his land to be there as "support" for king Einar. Korak will show her the bounty on king Einar Kuppel from the Cohort and is certain some human hating elves and greedy vagabonds will more than certainly take up the request and if king Einar is indeed killed chaos will ensue within the land. Before this happens the Noble sent from Uldviik can step in and take hold of the situation before the land crumbles. Chessa being an ally of Uldviik, no one would bat an eye when her forces march north to assist in the battle against the gnolls and once they are demolished with a united front no one would look sideways if her and Uldviik split the lands after victory. Instead of dealing with dissidents of local territories as invaders they are now the savior who came to aid their lands. The largest benefit of this being her long time ally is now on her border for trade instead of across the pond where the roc can pick their trading ships apart. He warns her against waiting until the gnolls have taken the province due to their ability to build massive swarms of undead recounting the day he was accosted by hundreds of them barely escaping.  After speaking to Chessa about plans for Hjorig, Korak will return to Hjolvar and speak to the king Uldviik Varrigsson asking if he has made up his mind about saving the Hjorig people from incompetence and giving him news on Chessas decision and the general plan. If he says no to sending a large force Korak will ask if he has interest in sending one of his Heirs or a respected noble from his house explaining the Einar bounty situation and the possibility to take over if those who take that up are successful. Korak makes it known to the king that he does not condone this act but if it is to happen he will not raise a blade against a fellow member but will turn their chaotic nature into his and the kings favor. He states his love of the Rjurik people and concern that if Hjorig loses its king the lands will fall into disarray and panic and be trampled without proper leadership with the rest of the lands around it folding as well due to the necromancer building an unwavering army on the gnolls graves.  After talk of war Korak asks if Uldviik has a trainer to teach him the ways of the flail and offers a friendly sparring session to the king if he wishes.  (Minor: giving his mythral wrist mirror for Uldviik as a thank you token for hosting him and creating one made to Chessas specification as a thank you for hearing him out)
Sithric Grimhildsson Even though he doesn't like it that much in the desert, Sithric would return to Ariya to offer his marksmanship to Lady Bahira El-Sarai as a caravaneer for this downtime. His pocket's are somewhat full again atleast, but a coming investment makes him want to save up more again. Robert Bossouri Robert will begin researching how much founding a church will cost him in the long run. He has decided that he would be able to serve his cause best if he begins teaching the words of Neira's virtues to those interested. He would also sit down with Lindal and teach him Midgardian in his spare time. Shango Bayu Shango, after talking with Drago about this endeavor, would travel to Drachenward and put in a word for Drago with the people there. The boy has rescued the town not only from the Corrupt Soldaten-Council, he also played a big role in the restoration of Urkenhame. Trying to motivate them like this, he will set an example by personally helping out in the beginning of construction of Drago's new home. In Shango's eyes, Drago really deserves a place outside of the Cohort that he may call home, so he's going to do his best to help in the founding of it. Eirena Lightshadow After a successful rescue mission, Eirena is pretty pleased with herself and uses her downtime to relax from all the preparatory work and stress that came with leading Phage's rescue expedition. She will volunteer to watch after Nasaadi for a few days atleast, as she felt slightly guilty about tricking her into putting the necklace on. Outside of that, she's simply going to look forward to some quiet time that she can spend together with Savas.

Valravan He gets back to Fadrica from trying to find Larmendylth in Urkenhame in a search to find where Nasaadi went off to. In shock finds that a party from the Cohort had brought a toddler human form of Nasaadi back with them. She wears a magic necklace that she cant take off and they tell him that it should not come off until Nasaadi is older and they feel she wont seek revenge for ticking her in putting it on. Valravan feels sorry for the young dragon but understands the party worries. He does not want to see the dragon be hunted down by men again in the future. Knowing her past and feeling pity for the dragon Valravan retires from the Cohort and asks if he can be the caretaker of Nasaadi when no one is able to watch her. He will spend the rest of his life taking care of Nasaadi in the Cohort and will try everything but taking the necklace off of her to make the young dragon girl happy. He builds a small baby stroller for her so he can push her around and when he does gets his hand on a gold coin he will give it to the young Nasaadi so she can have her little hoard somewhere in the Cohort. ((OOC: Valravan retires and finds his purpose in his life. It is sadly so late in his life time but he enjoys taking care of the young child. Lets Orithar look at his spell book.)) Brognir Finishing writing his book of relearning Midgardian Karamhul. Titles it: How to understand Midgardian Karamhul. For Karamhul speakers. By Brognir Bronzehelm. One day when writing his book some one kept knocking on his door. Angry because he had a busy sign on his door he opened it to see Drago there. Drago wanted him to go to Urkenhame but Brognir just wrote a letter instead and signed it agreeing what Drago wanted. Then he kicked the lad out of his room and went back to his book.  ((Major: Finish book. Minor sign Drago papers agree to what he wanted with Brognir Renown.)) Tristan Travels to the Margreve with Salazar to learn Midgardian from him and spends the next few weeks in Zobeck. When alone he looks into the mirror trying to watch the shadow that moves in it every now and then. (OOC: Week 1) Phage Returns to the Cohort for the first time after months being away. She spends the next few weeks trying to remember what she was doing with the Ice Maiden during her time with her.

Diesa Gemfire Location: The city of Zhigun, in the Kingdom of Daikhar-Zhigun - Modest Lifestyle Major: Special Training - Diesa returns to her exhaustive training regimen under the strict auspices of some of Daikhar-Zhigun's champions and while not anywhere near their satisfaction just yet is starting to feel like she's making real progress. (3rd of 4 Downtimes spent) Minor: Unable to attend Prudence's invitation herself Diesa visits the markets of Zhigun and picks up a couple of items for a present she can send through the courier networks, along with a letter of regret for being unable to make it. She tries to aquire a matching pair of fine leather apothecarist satchels and hires an embroiderer to stitch decorative patterns of leaves and deer into one for Prudence and patterns of constellations and spiderwebs in the other for Agatha. Inside Prudence's she'll add a bottle of premium dwerren cider made from foraged forest berries and wrapped in wool to protect it on the long journey. Inside Agatha's a sheathed fine steel dagger with bronze inlayed blade that has turned green with veridigris to match her eye colour. Galena Abanâthu Location: Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, on the Island of Fabrica Major: Research - Harpies. Galena peruses the information available in the cohort for references to Harpy, Harpies etc. checking through history section for any stories of a person or people going by that name, starting with the area of Bin Sada, near which she knows is an island and province with that in there name. After which she'll expand to stories in the Rjuven highlands where the Siren is just in case of further relevance and then any other references. Aubrae Trevelyan Location: The city of Ber Dairas, in the Sultanate of Bin Sada - Modest Lifestyle Major: Custom Action? - After being unable to secure a place on a cohort expedition Aubrae heads south to Bin Sada in hopes of raising more funds for her commision project. Having a small measure of fame in the region for braving the Tower of Evening and slaying terrible monsters within, she proposes an idea to Elisheva and her gang; an exhibition match between herself and the pit fighting champion, Abriana - if she is also willing. The house can charge admission and take a modest cut, with the rest being split 60/40 between the winner and loser.
Prudence Duskhart Location: Bardenhold, Abbatuor - Roesone Prudence will organise and get together a little celebration for her birthday with Agatha. She isn't planning anything big, unless of course Agatha wants to have a major celebration. She invites her fellow Cohort members to join her, namely Medi Eirwen, Diesa Gemfire, Mamm Bealdaartsdotter, Tarkus Creed, Fenris Nathair, Robert Bossouri and Cordie.They are welcome to bring along any friends they want to. Other than her birthday Prudence will begin working on her Grove. She looks around to see if there is a way that she could reduce the cost of building it somehow. ( Willing to spend Renown. Prudence has 56 Points of Renown in Roesone ) (Major Action: Birthday Celebration. Minor Action: Spending renown to reduce price of Druid Grove.) Portia Folkor Location: Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Portia will let her spirit age in the barrel for now, giving Ant time to make the bottles they would go in. She feels invigorated after the outing to the lighthouse, and it seems to have sparked a period of rigurous training. She spends a lot of her free time in the training grounds bettering her skills, especially in tight corners and dim light conditions. She also starts paying attention to the undead monkey that she took home from the Hag's Lair, observing it's behaviours and if it can be trained as a pet. (Major Action: Undead Monkey assessment/research) Berry Brambles Location: Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Berry delighted that he can cook properly now all thanks to Nim will rush off to buy his own set of utensils, and will be eager to cook his first serving of the famous pottage pie. He continues to counsel his fellow Cohort Members, telling them that Solaria must have been a fierce foe, to hear so many still fear her but he will point out that she is gone, and they are still here. That makes them stronger than her. He suggests a group "hug" gathering all those who have trouble sleeping and getting them together in one of the common rooms for a night, remembering what they had done with his brothers when they were small during storms hoping the same principle works here as well. As with anything he does, this is not mandatory and members only attend if they wish to. Anyone is invited. (Major Action: Counselling Cohort members, organising the group hug/sleep. Minor Action: Buying Cook's Utensils.)
Agatha Duskhart Since it's the twins birthday they celebrate home at Bardenhold, inviting Cohort Members they've worked with. Agatha sees how passionate Prudence is about her little mud cave and asks the Baroness of Roesone if there is anything she can do to help them get it built. (Major action: Turning 24, but is somehow only 20... Minor action: Spending renown, if possible, to help the work on Prudence's Grove. 41 renown in Roesone) Nim Mammsdotter As happy as Nim is that she could help Mamm with her "can't really see in the dark"-problem the candle still smells... She asks Ant, who she knows can make bottles and such, to make her some sort of candle holder in glass that Mamm can wear in her belt. (Major action: Bother Ant to make her a lantern thingy for the candle she gave Mamm.)

Jannis the Red Will spend another 90 gold for a tutor to mentor him at the forge (learn smith tools proficiency). Savas Al-Hadar Savas will spend time with Eirena, both alone and helping take care of  Nasaadi.  One morning he will wake up early and lay out some juice, meat and cheese for her when she wakes up.  Next to the platter he places a piece of parchment, written in his steady hand, upon which the following is written in Rjuven: "Månelyst kvinne Øynene hennes er asurblå Hennes sverd frastøter Hennes form lokke Nerver av stål Hjertet hennes solen Mine dager er mørke til hennes hjerte vant Jeg elsker deg, Savas" Between spending time with Eirena and the toddler, Savas will also spend time in martial training and meditation (Level up to level 5).
Vincent Location:  The city of Daikhar, in the Kingdom of Daikhar-Zhigun - Modest Lifestyle Vincent will spend the late Spring working the forges in Daikhar-Zhigun if permitted. He will do his best to improve his skills particularly in making small items like nails, hinges and other mechanisms. If possible he will learn what he can of crafting with adamantium and other rare metals - either at the forge or while making small talk over ale. 
Ant Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Ant will spend as much of the rest of spring as he can with Portia. He will happily take on Nim's request of encasing the flash candle in glass to try and stop the smell from getting out. If he still has time, he will also make some more bottles for Portia's Plum Port. (OOC: don't know if this'll be allowed, don't know how many things he can craft in a month) ( Major Action: Crafting a glass container for Nim's Flesh Candle to trap smell. Also craft 'Plum Port' bottles if allowed. Minor Action: Hugs and kisses for Portia. ) Mamm Bealdaartsdotter Location:  Bardenhold, Abbatuor, Roesone Mamm will make sure to attend the Duskhart's celebrations and will ask Nim if she wants to come with her. Nim does, mostly so she can 'pet the deer.' Mamm tries to convince Nim that they're not in fact deer. On the way Mamm will craft a small wooden head sculpture, as a gift for the twins. Left half of the head sculpture being Prudence's face, the right half being Agatha's. ( Major Action: Craft present for Agatha and Prudence with Woodcarver's Tools. Minor Action: Attend Duskhart's party with Nim while in Roseone. ) Skag Polavich Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Skag, now having finally learned how to wield the arcane in some fashion, gets afraid of going on a mission with other people. "What if they keep making fun of me." "They'll always look down on you Skag." Jaidiele sylss  Jaidiele practices his skills with his bow by practicing on precision shots(leveling up). He than goes and visit nasaadi and brings her sweets as a gift trying to get in good Grace's with her since he feels bad about taking her from where she wanted to be.
Zero Zero practices, and improves his abilities. Thugnuck Thugnuck does some reserach, but isn't able to find much, if any information at all on those locations, or topics. He was probably overloaded trying to research too many things. Brbl Brbl learns Sylvan, and spends some time amongst the Piney. Cedrych We mostly handled this in our session the other day. Salazar Salazar goes with Cordie, and regales tells to the twins. As usual he is well accepted, and somehow manages to learn how to speak Sylvan in all of the chaos. Kasimir Kasimir works the forge, and hones his tools His abilities improve, but he has no time to do research. Shlar Shlar learns to speak Midgardian. Lindal Lindal has to leave the island to find a temple to work at. He ends up just breaking even on funds. Cordie Cordie buys hats for the twins, and teaches Sylvan to Salazar. She then practices using her magic to trick people. Finally she sends her letter off to Drago. Medi Medi spends time with Prudence. She gets a letter from The Kallanon that they need to talk about her sister 'soon.' Lucan Lucan studies his books, and practices his magic at The Cohort. Zook Zook trains his physical abilities, and reflexes. Zeek Considering it's the 14th, and this still isn't filled out this downtime is invalid. Dragomir The queen agrees to allow Drago to start building a tower outside of the city. Whilst the endorsements, and requests of his friends are taken into consideration, it's simply enough to sway her to offer some assistance. About 2,500gp worth of supplies, and labor are provided by Urkenhame. OOC: Marked 10 Renown off of Shango, Brognir, and Cordie. Marked 5 off of Drago. Orithar Orithar trades spells and discovers the Find Familiar spell. Fenris Fenris asks around, and they give him some fine soil made especially by the sidhelien to help plants grow to the maximum height possible. Beyond that they guard their secrets carefully from him. OOC: Marked off 2 Renown. Hedrin Arealendael hurries off after Hedrin finally gets the hang of Sylvan. He can't pull her out of her room when there is talk about introducing her to other people. Tal, Thrum The Temple of Masela has little power in Ariya beyond some small shrines, and worshipers. They also fear repercussions for violating the will of their ruler. Because of this they refuse to assist Tal, Thrum in his endeavor. In fact they distance themselves from him quite quickly when he brings this idea to them. He spends some time at the orphanage helping with the children. Korak Neither Chessa, nor Uldviik are particularly forthcoming about their plans with Korak. Both refuse to speak with him about the matter, but do hear him out. Korak begins learning how to use a flail. Sithric The woman pays Sithric a generous 50gp for his time following her caravans around. Robert Robert discovers that he would need to find somewhere willing to house his temple, and would probably need around 8,000 old Anuirean gold pieces to fund the endeavor. He teaches Lindal when he isn't doing research. Shango Shango heads off to Urkenhame  with Drago. Eirena Eirena spends a few days looking after the baby 'dragon.' The child had almost choked on a gold coin the day before, and under Eirena's watch begins taking a large number of 'risks.' She essentially has to be watched at all times to ensure she doesn't hurt herself. Luckily she still has the stamina of a  human toddler. The frequent 'nap times' are a brief a moment of respite from the grueling work. Valravan Valravan retires so that he can ensure Nasaadi always has someone looking after her. Just like with everyone else the girl mistrusts humans, and is very difficult to look after. Even compared to an ordinary toddler. It will likely take a long time for her to come around, but in the meantime the gesture of a gold coin seems to help, if only slightly. With that said she almost chokes on it one evening when trying to swallow it like she used to be able to do in her dragon form. It's unclear if she will be reborn whilst in this form to Valravan, but the child begins taking more hazardous behavior after this incident. For now it appears she'll need to be watched extra carefully. Brognir Brognir finishes his book, and sends his letter out with Drago. Tristan Tristan begins trying to learn Midgardian, but the language is quite foreign for anyone has never learned a language from outside of Cerilia before. He watches the shadow move, and sometimes feels a cold hand on his shoulder. Phage Phage spends some time trying to recall her journeys with the ice maiden. Everything is cloudy, and she can only stitch together pieces. She remembers spending allot of time in a fey library trying to destroy books that contain the weaknesses of ice maidens. Diesa Diesa continues her harsh training, though it's becoming easier the longer she engages with it. She sends her letter, and gift out to the twins. Galena Galena discovers that there are different types of creatures known as 'Harpies.' The word this originates from is a type of female looking awnshegh that plague the seas, especially around Binsada. The Siren appears to be loosely related to these creatures in some way, even if only be appearances. They are known for using beautiful singing voices to lure men to their deaths at sea. Aubrae Elisheva informs Aubrae that whilst she is not against this idea in principle, only slaves are allowed to fight in the pits. She tells Aubrae that if she wishes to 'temporarily' become a slave her and Abrianna can have a fight where the winner earns her freedom. Of course the catfolk isn't willing to take responsibility for what would happen if Aubrae were to lose. OOC: This is the type of thing that's perfect for any of our 'light RP' sessions when they pop up. Prudence Prudence organizes a large birthday celebration for Agatha, and it goes off to great success. By the time Prudence goes to the Baroness Agatha had already asked her for some assistance. Nonetheless she still offers some additional assistance at the behest of her Countess. Prudence is presented with building material to assist in the completion of her grove. OOC: Prudence is providing with building materials worth about 2,500gp. This doesn't decrease the building time, but does help with the total cost of the Grove. Between this, and Agatha's assistance 4,500gp/8,000gp of the Grove has already been covered. Prudence will need to come up with the coin for the other half. Portia Portia begins to train the creature to do basic tasks. It seems quite capable in this regard however. It might be especially useful at helping Cohort members during their watches considering that it doesn't have to sleep. Berry Berry holds a small party for Cohort members in what is a first ever 'sleepover' at the Halls of The Cohort Arcanum. There are many festivities, and Berry invents a new type of campfire food involved shortbread, chocolate, and marshmellows. Some people start referring to it as a "Berry,' but this only leads to mass confusion for those who didn't attend in the following days. Agatha Agatha's request to the Baroness doesn't go unanswered. She sends some workers to help with the construction. OOC: Marked off 21 Renown. 2,000gp of the cost is effectively paid in labor. This does NOT reduce the time, simply helps provide labor. Nim Nim gets her 'lantern' from Ant. It's quite finally crafted, elegant, and a glass loop on the top so it can be strung to the side of a belt. Darvius Darvius continues his training with The Kallanon (2/4). Thorg Thorg makes 48ss, and 72bp. Jannis Jannis finally gets a handle of crafting at the forge. Savas Savas will spend some time training, and meditating. Outside of that he spends time with Eirna, and their new 'child.' Nasaadi is still extremely distrusting of humans, and is in some ways even more of a handful than an actual toddler. It seems like she's looking to run away at every chance she gets, but luckily her small form has made that quite difficult. She is however slowly growing more accepting of her circumstances. Vincent Vincent is politely asked to leave the forges when he begins asking about crafting rare materials. If he didn't have such a good reputation he would have been kicked out of the city, and barred from coming back. The Dwerren are very protective of the secrets to their craftsmanship. Ant Ant crafts a large number of exquisite bottles. Outside of that he spends time with Portia. OOC: Normally I try to limit crafting as downtime isn't meant to be too extensive. Mamm Mamm tries to craft a small wooden sculpture, but it just goes horribly wrong. She ends up having to either buy something, or give them the misshapen figurine. She still ends up attending the party either way. Skag Skag spends some time hiding from other Cohort members. Glenn Glenn prays, rests, and meditates to improve his connection with his god. Galzira Galzira practices with her magic to increase her affinity with it. Lio Qi Lio Qi practices with his bow in order to level up. Jaidiele Jaidiele practices with his bow, and then tries to win over Nasaadi. She's still be uncooperative however, and it seems her hatred of humans will take a long time to overcome. This makes her a bit of a pain to look after.
