Diesa Diesa completes her special training. Galena Galena spends some very sentimental time with Mamm, and Nimm. Unfortunately all the talk distractions her from her cooking, and she ruins most of the food she attempts to make. She will still need more time to master the art. Aubrae Aubrae spends time meditating, and learns how to play the harp when she has time. Glenn Glenn prays, and deepens his connection with his Goddess. Vincent Vincent will need more time to practice, and improve his skills. Unfortunately the same can be said for Aquan. He will need more time to learn the language. Jaidiele Jaidiele spends some time with Nasaadi. She's still not friendly, but is adjusting to her new life one day at a time. Salazar Salazar learns how to speak, read, and write gnoll from Medi. It's an awful, simplistic, and barbaric language. The complete opposite of what was written in the letter. Cedrych Cedrych has trouble finding someone, but does learn that The Zweilund Islands have many unsavory ship captains who might be interested in such jobs without any coin up front. Though they tend to be untrustworthy pirates. Kasimir Kasimir teaches Low Brecht to Tal, Thrum, and improves his skills. Agatha Agatha spends some time practicing under Prudence, bu she will need more time to truly grasp the lessons being taught to her. It will require her to drop some of her pride, and accept that her sister is sometimes right when she corrects some of Agatha's bad happens and lack of attention span. The Baroness says that she will send some wood to begin a building a treetop sanctum. Unfortunately her men are tied up with Prudence's grove at the moement. OOC: Marked off 20 renown in exchange for 2,000gp worth of supplies. You cannot begin construction unless you have enough gold to cover starting labor costs however. Nim Nim learns how to survive out in the wilderness all on her own, and teaches Galena how to cook as well! Prudence The Baroness lets Prudence know that she knows some sidhelien familiar with attaching arcane tree towers onto druid groves, and suggestions that this seems like the best option. She offers to send a crew to help build it, but informs the alseid she will not have any available men until the druid's grove is finished. Prudence learns quite a bit about survival from the book (gaining expertise in survival as a result). She teaches Agatha during her free time. OOC: Marked off 20 renown, and in exchange 2,000gp of the effective cost is paid in labor. HOWEVER it will only begin progress AFTER Prudence's grove is complete. Portia Portia spends time with Ant training the undead monkey (see Ant's downtime). Berry Berry hugs. Ant Ant spends time with his love, time teaching Vincent, and then takes some time to help with the monkey. The monkey slowly learns how to do basic tasks, and becomes slightly better trained. However raw, and fresh flesh is required to get it to behave with 100% certainty. It also still needs a name. Mamm Mamm as a lovely few weeks with her friends and family. Skag Skag hugs. Medi The Kallanon lets Medi know that her sister Teresa needs a special potion crafted from Tears of the Tortured, An Eye of the Innocent, The Wings of a Pixie, and The Tongue of Traitor. How he discovered this is anyone's guess, but it's obvious from the conversation he put a great deal of effort into this. He lets Medi know that gathering the ingredients will not be an easy task. Not to mention the moral quandary of such a thing. Cordie Cordie doesn't find any signs of Baba Migori. She does research on the corruption, and discovers that The Margreve can cleanse corruption. However later on she discovers that this is indeed not true. Rather than cleanse, The Margreve instead takes corruption out of a creature, purifies it, and gives birth to it in The Shadow World. It is said that this is the true origin of all great evils in The Margreve, either directly or indirectly. Shadow Fey are said to have been born from The Margreve purifying the evil out of natural creatures such as sidhelien. The book is unfortunately completely useless, and far too boring for Cordie to sit through. She gets about one chapter in before closing it. It suggests casting spells by doing things like math to calculate spell distance, speed, acceleration, force, etc. It's full of formulas that sometimes take up multiple pages. It might however be useful to a wizard interested in such things. It could allow them to modify their spells assuming they were willing to put up with all the boorishness of it. Sithric Sithric trains Zero, and vice versa. Unfortunately it appears that both of them will need more time to learn their respective skills. Robert Robert spends some time playing with the bugs, but unfortunately doesn't manage to craft anything useful. Shango Shango spends time trying to learn Rjuven, but will need more time to master the language. Eirena Eirena began to go through designs in her head, but bringing those designs into reality was another story. Brognir was a good teacher, but smithing was a difficult craft. Eirena would need more time, and practice before completing her objective. Zero Zero will need more time to train his ability to spot things on the fly. He teaches Sithric in exchange. Veilitos Veilitos improves his study of magic, and heads back to the Temple of Elil to study things more closely. He however can't for the life of him figure out the temple's secrets, and those damned bugs keep coming back from the crystal room no matter how many times they are killed. Theq Theq visits his home, and brings plenty of coin to go around. Whilst at first his family and friends are proud of him the novelty quickly wears away. Somehow Theq finds himself more distant from them than before. The small town folk aren't used to fancy living, and slowly he finds himself emotionally isolated in his own home. The firbolg slowly gets the feeling that even those who still hang around with him are only doing so because of his money. Zolis Zolis spends some time reading this odd book which claims that magic isn't real. Instead it talks about how it is simply a hoax, and how everything that it does can be explained with scientific reason. It is oddly interesting, but it slowly devolves into madness. The final page simply is the number 42 written in large bold letters. Drago Drago receives Leana's blessing, and heads back to Drachenward. He pays to continue the construction of his new tower, and asks Queen Freya to send her message. Larmedylth appears, and tells Drago that she doesn't wish to give him the power of her blood. She fears he will share Bellasaar's fate if she does. Especially with The Void Dragon still on the loose. Eventually she reluctantly agrees to begin the process with Dragomir, but only if he swears to never fight The Void Dragon, and to run if he ever catches wind of its presence. Presphine gives Drago an odd potion. She tells him it is an elixir that will protect a person against one effect. The potion is thick, purple, and swirls with wondrous magic. OOC: This elixir changes the next Constitution saving throw you make to a 25. It lasts one hour after being drunk, and has no effect if it is not triggered during that time. Orithar Orithar doesn't find any sign that this book exists in The Cohort. He doesn't find any spells this week. Fenris The Ceremony of Investiture requires time, patience, and a shrine that cannot be brought with someone. Unfortunately it's something that would be difficult to do during downtime. Korak Korak will still need more time to master the flail. He learns from his family, and spends time repairing their relationship. It's very touching. Hedrin Hedrin commissions his gift, and lives with the Minotaur people. He however will need more time to learn Midgardian. Arealendael is very thankful for the garment. Tal, Thrum Tal, Thrum starts learning Low Brecht, but will need some more time to really get anything outside of 'hello' down. Darvius Darvius continues training with The Kallanon. The training is getting easier every day. Brognir Brognir earns 96ss, and 72bp. Other than that he teaches Eirena. Phage Shlar begins teaching Phage the powers of the arcane. As Phage tried to recall her memories she remembered the ocean. She remembered a large night's sky. The Throne of Dreams. A ship being pulled by a blind stone god through the rivers of The Underworld. On it were all the plant's of this world, growing, twisting, and bouncing upon the ocean waves. On its surface were goats with the bodies of men, and men with the legs of goats. Around them were Serpentine Lamia, and they all frolicked and danced around a fountain of pristine and pure water. At the back of the ship sat a beautiful blonde hair, black-eyed woman. She was the size of a giantess, and towered over the small creatures that danced before her. Atop her head sat a closed third eye, and in her hands was a crystalline scythe. She sat alone in front of a second one of these pools, and leered into it curiously. Adjusting the crown of greenery atop her head the woman looked to Phage and the Ice Maiden. "Thylea. Hypnos. Lutheria" She said. With that the dream ended, and Phage awoke in the arms of the Ice Maiden. Oddly enough the dream felt more real than the memory of waking from it. Tristan Tristan continues to learn Midgardian, but is still having trouble with the language. He will need more time to get a firm grasp on it. Though he can at least engage in the most basic level of conversation (hello, how are you, etc.). The mirror gives no reply. Lindal Lindal trains, and practices his skills. He levels up. Shlar Shlar finds the spell Gentle Repose. Roland Roland trains, and levels up. Savas Savas buys the pair of matching rings for himself, and Eirena. They are quite elegant, and beautiful. Finely crafted enough that they would suit a king or queen. After that he spends some time with Nasaadi who is slowly growing more accustomed to her new surroundings. She certainly isn't 'normal,' but she is however beginning to act more like one would expect.
