[Weekly Downtime Thread][Summer I 1525 HC]

Please post any of your downtime activities below. You can find the full rules for downtime here . You can find last week's downtime thread here. Always remember to be specific about what downtime action you are taking! If you're leveling up type that in your post labeled as OOC! If you're looking into an item be specific about where that item is from, what mission, when you got it, who from, etc. If you write "I read that book I found" the DM is likely to have no clue what you are talking about. If you are learning a language, or tool make sure to write down how many weeks you have been practicing! This lowers the DC, and gives advantage depending on the number of weeks. Also a reminder that players only get one main downtime action per week.

Diesa Gemfire Location: The City of Zhigun, in the Kingdom of Daikhar-Zhigun - Modest Lifestyle Major: Special Training - Encouraged by her progress over the last month Diesa forgoes all distractions and concentrates entirely on her regimen and lessons, determined to satisfy her mentors and complete her training. (4th Downtime/One Season spent) Galena Abanâthu Location: The Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, on the Isle of Fabrica Major: Tool Proficiency Training - Galena returns to one of her past projects as time approaches to visit Bin Sada again and takes up with Nim and Mamm for a while to learn how to cook beyond simply applying heat and salt to food. (2nd Downtime spent attempting to gain proficiency in Cooking Utensils - (Has Jack of All Trades, +1 to ability checks if relevant) Minor: Spending all that time around Mamm and Nim Galena asks them about the whole adoption thing, why they did it, what it was like, what was involved and how its gone. Galena is probably not the most sensitive of conversationalists but she obviously means well. Aubrae Trevelyan Location: The City of Ber Dairas, in the Sultanate of Bin Sada - Modest Lifestyle Major: Musical Instrument Learning -  Aubrae rents accomodation with the Temple of Leira while back in the city and after the relative bust that was the Axebeak hunt considers Elisheva's words again, but raised in Anuire the idea of slavery regarding fellow humanoids seems shocking, taboo and unjust. She tries to meditate on the lessons of her mentor Tala and the teachings of Laerme regarding this by practicing a new and different art, taking up with those in the temple learning to play the Harp that makes the heart of her holy symbol. (Learning proficiency in Harp, 1st Downtime spent on it) Minor: Writes some correspondance with Gadreel of Aenier to keep in touch
Glenn Sturgis Location:  The Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, on the Isle of Fabrica Major: Glenn continues to strengthen his connection with laerme and levels to 3.
Vincent Location:  The Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, on the Isle of Fabrica - modest lifestyle (16sp) Frustrated by his lack of progress learning from the dwerren Vincent returns to Fabrica. If he has enough XP (unlikely) he levels to Fighter 5 (needs 2102xp). Otherwise he works with Ant to learn Aquan (Week 1).
jaidiele sylss jaidiele continues to try and get nasaadi to trust him to the best of his ability and temporarily decided to take a leave from adventure to try and build a bond with nasaadi.

Salazar Salazar returns from the Duskhart birthday party and spends his time at the Cohort. He is surprised to read the letter from Bloodrider, and intrigued by the loquacious gnoll. Seeing an opportunity to resolve things diplomatically, he seeks out Medi and asks that she teach him the strange tongue of the Gnolls. In the evenings, he continues to help Tristan learn Midgardian. OOC: Learning Gnoll. Attempt 1. Cedrych Cedrych returns to Anuire. He stays in the dock districts, attempting to find a captain of a small, fast ship. He's looking specifically for someone who knows the secret coves and hidden ports in Mieres. Discretion is essential in this matter, and he's willing to pay for an expert captain who won't ask questions. He makes no mention of the Cohort and leaves his badge at Fabrica. OOC: Just trying to make contact with a reliable, non-cohort captain/smuggler/pirate for a future mission. Kasimir OOC: Kasimir levels up if he has enough experience (needs 327xp). He also begins teaching Low Brecht to Tal.

Agatha Duskhart Agatha gives her book on survival to her sister as she knows that is more up her alley. She also accompanies her to the Baroness to ask for help with building her own little nook in the hold. She asks Prudence to teach her how she notices things around her so easily that just passes by Agatha completely. (Major Action: Learning Skill - Perception - week 1. Minor Action: Talking to the Baroness about starting a Sorcerer's Sanctum. Spending renown if possible, she has 20 in Roesone.) Nim Mammsdotter Nim will teach Galena those Cook's Utensils as she had a great time teaching them to Berry and of course tell her everything about the adoption. She'll ask Mamm to teach her how to become stronger and tougher, just like her. (Major Action: Learning skill - Survival - week 1. Minor Action: Teaching Galena Cook's Utensils.)

Prudence Duskhart Location: Bardenhold, Abbatuor - Roesone. Prudence will be eager to oversee the work on the druid's grove she's building now that it is all paid for. (Marked off rest of funds from sheet.) Feeling like she doesn't want to leave Agatha alone she goes to Proudgaive again to talk to the Baroness Marlae Roesone, about building her her own little space in a Sorcerer's Sanctum. (Willing to spend Renown for this) She will appreciate and look over the birthday gifts she has gotten, wearing the antler charm and using the satchel on a daily basis. She has not yet figured out what to do with the dirt yet, but she plans to plant something in a pot at her grove with it. In her spare time she finds she will look over the book that Agatha gave her and see if she can absorb it's secrets (Prudence has a proficiency in Survival), and in turn she will teach Agatha how to notice things better. (Major Action: Read Book   Minor Action:  Ask Baroness for help with a Sorcerer's base. [Spending Renown]  Teaching Agatha Perception Skill.) Revealed Learning on Survival. This book is leafed through, but otherwise good condition. It is written in Magical Writing (Requires Magical Deciphering). It is embossed in large letters on cover. This book is worth 50 gps and has 219 pages. Portia Folkor Location: Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Having taken an interest in her little monkey she will begin to see if she can train the critter to listen to her commands, and somehow if it is even possible start building a bond between them. If Ant has any tips for her she'd gladly accept them, maybe the sailor knows something she doesn't. Otherwise she will wait patiently for the barrel of spirit she made to age. (Major Action: Train Undead Monkey) Berry Brambles Location: Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Berry is delighted that the sleepover went well, and that many people enjoyed his little invention of the campfire food that they started calling 'Berry' which he doesn't mind since he thinks they taste like a hug anyway. He will as usual counsel any member that comes to him for comfort or advice and this time he offers a 'Berry' to everyone that visits him. (Major Action: Hug)
Ant Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Ant tries his best to help Portia train the undead monkey in any way he can, being adept with the handling of animals. Though its undead nature does disturb him a little at first. Vincent Heron approaches Ant and asks him about the book he's reading. Ant tells him about the book and how it's got tips on boating that even after nearly a century of being a sailor, Ant learned quite a bit from. Vincent asked if he could read it, though quickly realised he couldn't as it was written in Aquan, a language very few could read. Vincent asks Ant if he would teach him, to which Ant is a bit apprehensive at first, as he likes that the language is not known to many, but he'll accept and teach Vincent the language when he's free. When not training Vincent, or Portia's pet, Ant will spend his time with Portia; exchanging flowers, training together, holding hands, and the occasional kiss when he feels daring.  (Major Action:  Help Portia Train Undead Monkey . Minor Action: Train Aquan language to Vincent Heron) Mamm Bealdaartsdotter Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica As Nim trains Galena to cook, Mamm hangs around making sure they've got everything they need. When Galena asks about the why and how about the adoption and how it's gone, Mamm is happy, seemingly keen to answer. She makes sure to say why in front of Nim. As to the why, Mamm says that in truth she saw Nim as her loving daughter the moment she met her. Like she was meant to raise her and care for her. That she was already her mother in practice and spirit by the time Nim asked her to adopt her. Also, because Nim wanted her to be her mother, and what mother could say no to that. Mamm explains the how, in visiting Nim's birth parents to try and persuade them to let Mamm adopt Nim. How Nim managed to teach Mamm Sidhewair on the boat ride there, making talking to her birth family much easier. How the paperwork was surprisingly simple once the Thislewit's had signed it. In answering how it's gone, Mamm turns to Nim, smiles, a tear wells in her eye, before she simply says, "It's going well." Mamm then bakes them all some cookies once they're done with their practice. Now having learnt her lesson and stocked up on sugar. It is sadly unlikely that Mamm has managed to successfully hide the sugar from Nim. Fortunately she's only just bought the sugar, so has enough for the cookies. When Nim is not teaching Galena, Mamm will seek to teach Nim how to hunt and track. Skills necessary in Mamm's eyes, for a warrior to have, and Nim, is indeed, her little warrior.  (Major Action: Watches over Nim and Galena as they cook. Minor Action: Train Nim the skill Survival) Skag Polavich Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Skag silently walks up to Berry. Stretches out his arms as if asking for a hug. Berry hugs Skag. Once the hug is over, Berry offers a 'Berry.' Skag silently accepts the candy with a weak smile. Skag walks off and goes back into hiding. (Major Action: Hug.)

Medi Location: Cohort Arcanum, Isle of Fabrica Medi returns to the Cohort in a panic as soon as she's able after hearing the Kallanon needs to talk to her urgently regarding Teresa. She does her best to appear calm, but the clopping of nervous hooves against stone floor is a clear sign of her anxiety. (OOC - Seeing the Kallanon about Teresa) Cordie Location: City of Zobeck, Torova Temylatin (Comfortable lifestyle) Cordie spends her time in and around the city and, troubled by the things she learned on her last outing, actively searches for Baba Migori, or someone else who is particularly attuned to the workings of the Margreve, who can help her figure out what happened between the Roc and the Margreve, and who/what lives in that dirt mound with the corrupted creatures around it. When Zolis appears with a book and asks for help reading it, Cordie accepts on the off chance that the book has some useful secrets stashed away in it. When the opening section starts rambling about how magic isn't real she quickly starts feeling she's made a terrible mistake and that this was written by an idiot.  (OOC - Major Action: Research(?). Looking into the Roc's situation and the Margreve corruptor, Minor: Reading  Dr. Harding's Guide to Magic Science for Zolis )
Sithric Grimhildsson After his last mission, Sithric couldn't help but wonder if leading the party into the white witches realm was really the right call. Orithar had told him to take up the mantle of leadership more, but in the end he relied on his seniors advice more than on his own judgement. He would take a long look at the board of fate, for anything else they should've done at that specific point. But his mind only blanked. Anything seemed reasonable at that point. What was he even thinking when he decided to heed the call towards the ice maiden?  A fellow adventurer grabbing him by the shoulder brought him out of his trance. Zero had approached him, asking to train his eyes to be just as keen in the most adverse situations. Sithric would think this over for a while and agree to train the man, provided that in exchange, Zero taught him how to improve his eye for detail. Sithric's investigative skills definitely needed more polishing, as he couldn't find anything inside the library. If he ever had to research something on his own, he would be worried that he'd waste time finding absolutely nothing. Thus he would agree to this sort of deal. ( OOC: Teaching Zero Odeh the perception skill, in exchange of learning the investigation skill from him. Week 1 ) Robert Bossouri In his last month, Rob hadn't managed to make progress towads repaying his debt to Cedrych yet. Truth be told, he followed a mission Cedrych was leading in hopes of attaining atleast some amount of gold, to make progress towards his debt repayment. He did attain something moderately interesting though: Magic eating bugs. Or atleast magic inhibiting bugs. Perhaps these could be used as a reagent for a potion that could hinder ones ability to craft spells, or anything similiar. He would spend time experimenting with some of these bugs in potion crafting, placing them at various phases of potion crafting. Perhaps something good could come out of it. ( OOC: Experimenting with the now dead swarms magic eating beetles he brought with him from session 107. ) Shango Bayu After a month on doing everything he can in Urkenhame to help Drago out in the process of building his new home, Shango returns to the Cohort only to contemplate on his future actions.  His goal of building a monastery with Darvius weighed a bit on his mind. While it's location wasn't set in stone yet, the likelihood of the monastery being built in Rjurik or Vos lands was definitely very high. And out of these two regions, there was only one whose language he couldn't speak yet... So this downtime, he will set out to Urkenhame, this time to learn Rjuven there in earnest. While he would certainly help out if anything labour intensive where to arise, he will focus mostly on learning the language there. ( Week 1 ) Eirena Lightshadow Last month, Savas had completely knocked Eirena off her feet, with the beautiful poem she received. She decides that she can't always let him have the upper hand over her like this and sets out to decide on how she could tackle this problem. She moves out to the Cohort Tavern one restless night to collect her thoughts and have some peace of mind. Surprisingly, even though she needn't sleep, Eirena has taken comfort in sleeping next to Savas in her downtime, so staying up like this became a rarity. But it's also nights like these were she couldn't thank Kirken enough for this blessing. As she sits down at the table, a mug of mead in her hand, she lets her thoughts unravel. The task proved to be far more difficult than she could've ever imagined. Her training as a child under Vosrai proved to be not at all helpful in the area of romanticism. Facing undead ogres was childs play compared to what she had to think through right now. She lets out a frustrated sigh and sits back. This was going to be a long night. Many people came and went in the tavern. Eirena remained mostly at her table, standing up only once sitting became unbearable. There must be something she can do that could impress Savas just as much as he was able to impress her all the time. It was at this point that she began thinking back to his proposal. Even now, it appeared so surreal to her, that Savas would've gone to such lengths for someone as her. Thinking back, she smiles slightly and relishes in the memory of it all. The beautiful garments he wore, the wreath he crafted for none other than her, the curved dagger he carried with him... Her thoughts linger on the blade for a little while. He only saw him carry that dagger once, but that was not the point. She shot up from her seat, nearly knocking the mug over. The blade had sparked something in her. Savas was a warrior. Whats better than crafting him a selfmade blade? Soon after having this idea spark inside, she began going through weapon designs inside her head. Only then did she realise, that she didn't know anything about this process. Neither about the material, nor about the actual craftsmenwork. So she now knows excactly what she has to do. And not to forgot Nasaadi's dragon babysitting. That's something that she needs to keep in mind as well. ( OOC: Learning proficiency with Smith's tools, taught by Brognir. )

Zero Odeh Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Zero regrets not being able to see the the snow in the snow.  So, he decides to find someone to train him in it.  Sithric offers a trade.  Perception training, for Investigation training.  So the two of them spend most of their tome together learning from each other. (Major action - Training Perception week 1, Minor Action - Teaching Investigation) Veilitos Aidous Location:  Halls of the Cohort Arcanum - Island of Fabrica Veil spends time perusing the Cohort Arcanum.  He finds a nice spot in the library and sets up camp for some time.  He hasn't studied magic in any significant way before. He tries to get familiar with the differences in how people come to preform magic and why they aren't always the same.  He wants to know why he can do it at will while others need to study and find spells.  Secondarily, he has become infatuated by the flying Temple of Elil.  There must be a way to move it or control it.  He'll need to go back an do research when he has time.  Until then, who will protect the temple since we cleared it out?  He talks to Cohort members trying to figure out how to secure the Temple. (major: Leveling up to 2 probably, minor: how do we secure the temple of Elil?)
Theq Ferro Location: Naron Village, The Siren (Wealthy Lifestyle) Theq visits home to spend time with his parents and friends. He brings plenty of coin he won from his recent Sloth hunt and lives a wealthy lifestyle in hopes of showing his friends a good time and stimulating the local economy. Zolis Ulmokina Location: City of Zobeck, Torova Temylatin (Poor lifestyle) Zolis travels to Zobek City for Cordie’s help in understanding the book he recieved from the Fey Library  (Session 91)  about magical conspiracy theories written in Cellwair. In his free time he wanders the city in search of familiar fairy tale creatures he grew up listening to his Naan tell stories of.

Dragomir The Black Back at the Cohort Drago checks in Leana Stillborne and shows how he has been able to wrap the flames, even if just the basis. He speaks to her about one aspect of Larmedylth training he has been putting off but now believes he is ready to undergo. He approaches Leana for her council and approval, he wants to gain her blessing and that of the cohort as to not damage the reputation he has worked so hard to achieve. Drago heads back to Drachenward to inform Queen Freya about the incoming stone he has recently acquired for the building project and pays 300 plat pieces from his horde toward the Silver tower. Why there he asks Queen Freya to send a message to Larmedylth as he urgency needs to finish his training with her, the one of Drachenblood. While he waits he cleans the gravesite of Bellassar without the use of magic, once it is in perfect condition he sits, watching over the site and quietly waits.   OOC: Dropping off 3000g for Building (2/5 downtimes), cost covered 6000g/8000g. Larmedylth Training. Minor: Visit Presphine  to pick up that potion around the night of fire (last 3 to 4 downtimes) Orithar Trisk Orithar goes looking for the Book "The Leylines. - By The Magian." but gets the feeling it probably in the restricted section and places a special request with the cohort council to borrow this book. He makes it clear he is willing to do anything to be able to read it after the last mission.  If he doesn't get hold of the book, he goes back to the quiet of the Cohort and starts to researching spells in the library, looking at conjuration that doesn't require them to be memorized and could be cast in a ritual fashion. Something that could help carry large amounts of weight back and forth with ease. Nothing to do with familiar's, he already knows about them and the unseen servants or any spell he already has.  OOC: Researching spells Or reading Ley Line Book. Fenris Nathair  After undergoing the ceremony of investiture with Cordi, Fenris will approach the cohort to see if he is able to borrow the supplies needed to perform the ceremony once himself. He will practice the technique to ensure he is confident enough with the ceremony that he could perform it when on a mission if required.

Korak (Week 2 Flail training) After dealing with the Kobolds and Snake person Korak will see Drago off on his way to Urkenhame and head home to the Rockhammer hold and try to sneak his way into the family crypt to visit the grave site of his mother Maura (Maurada) Rockhammer to pay respects and leave an offering to her of a small mythril ingot. He spends a few hours sitting over the grave and praying with the hope that the loss of his mothers life to birth him was not in vein. Eventually Koraks sister Anra who often tends to the grave happens upon Korak and greets him with a hug.     "Ah! good to see you again Anra it has been too long" The two finish their embrace and move over to sit at some nearby seating to continue their conversation. Korak notices a second wreath of flowers in a darker color she does not usually have.     She notices his burns and begins treatment on them during their conversation.      "Indeed it has brother, I was worried that after you left for the cohort that you would never be seen again." She looks to the ground dejected "Its quite boring here without you ya know, I love father and the others but all they think about is war and posturing their position. There is so much going on and so many things going on outside the halls I worry for our home."     Korak starts to look visibly uncomfortable at the mention of the rest of his family and manages to force out "How is Darkon and the others? I am sure it has been a weight off of their shoulders with me out of the way. Have heard the story about the family abomination one too many times."      Anra gives Korak a warm smile "You know they really don't hate you, they all grew up with mothers strength and kindness, loosing her took away some of the warmth they had in their hearts. They just chose to show their grief in a harmful way, to the very thing mother would not let die giving her final breath to make sure it survived." Anra lets out a slight sigh "Its been almost 200 years Korak I think it might be time for you to start being part of the family again, or at least give them a chance."     Korak wears a half hearted smile and with a little bit more enthusiasm this time. "So how are the dolts then? Arlinn still trying to pretty up her resume to become the wife of the prince?  Umgrom and Regnar still trying to outdo one another to take Darkons place at the head of the family? Father still resenting and plotting against everyone who let his wife get blooded by an Awnshegh when they left her to fight alone? Don't get me wrong I do love them but they are all so unapproachable."     Anra's eyes loom over their mothers grave as she leans back into the bench as if letting a giant weight go. "Your leaving here and events since them have changed them a bit ya know. Father does not talk ill about you anymore and I even saw him smile when he heard of your work in the brewery. Arlinn has moved onto more approachable goals finding fancy with one of the Wainier men, though she still tries to go to the grand hall as much as possible to catch the princes eye now that she has heard of his return. Regnar is now becoming a proper leader looking outward to the clans goals rather than his own and is being groomed to take fathers place. and as for Umgrom..." Her slumped form seems to sink further into the bench somehow as some tears well up in her eyes "He was near Morrendeep when those frog creatures first attacked and gave his life protecting the nearby villages while they escaped, I would like to think he did not want to let you one up him for defending the people at the temple" She gives a half hearted smile. "His grave is around the corner if you want to see it." She lifts the red and grey wreath meant for their brother.      Korak nodds and the two talk for a bit longer about what has been going on since he has left and agrees to stay in town for the rest of his break if she agrees to teaching him to use the flail. He would be honored to learn from Anra "Shamansbane" Rockhammer his beloved sister. ("paid" for training with offering to his mother in rp) Hedrin (Learing Midguardian week 1) Hedrin was quite fond of the Minotaur woman's work on his cloak and will ask her if she could teach him Midguardian, he offers to pay and wants to commission a blouse for Arealendael who he then gives the gift to upon his return telling her stories of his adventure.  Tal, Thrum  (Learning low Brecht week 1) He asks Kazimir when he returns from Baruk Azhik to teach him Brecht and the two laugh and drink to stories of battle.
Darvius Week 3/4 Training on Mobile with Kallanon.

Brognir Heads to Daikhar Zhigun. There he practices and helps his fellow Dwerren there with his smithing. He also teaches Eirena the arts of black smithing. He is excited to teach someone his love of his hobby to make things out of metal.  ((Major: Working as a smith to make some coin and help his fellow Dwerren. Minor: Teaching Eirena Smithing tools.)) Phage Goes to Shlar and starts to learn again from him the arcane practices of wizardry. When she is not learning from Shlar she drifts away in thoughts about her life the last few months with the Ice Maiden. ((Major: Learning from Shlar Arcane Initiate wizard [[Week 1/3]]. Minor: Trying to remember more things as to what she did with the Ice Maiden.)) Tristan Continuing learning Midgardian with Salazar. Trying to peace more out with the mirror. When he gets the feeling someone is there with him or touching his shoulder when he is alone looking into it. He will ask it for it's name. ((Major: Learning Midgardian from Salazar [[Week 2]]. Minor: Trying to learn more from the mirror.))
Lindal Lindal spends the time practising his warrior skills and expanding them.  OOC leveling up. Shlar Shlar will spend his time in the Cohort library looking through books about necromancy to try and find any spells that would allow the raising of lesser undead like zombies or skeletons.  Should he find such a spell he will copy it to his spellbook. As a minor action he will also be copying Counterspell from the magic book owned by the Cohort to his spellbook.  This takes him 6hrs and costs 150 gp
Roland Roland will spend his time training and leveling up. Savas Savas commissions a pair of matched gold rings, sized for himself and Eirena.  On one side of each ring, written in Rjuven, is "Vann".  On the other side of each ring, written in Basarji, is " نار".  Will spend 200 GP for the set.  The rest of his time is spent with Eirena and the dragon child.

Diesa Diesa completes her special training. Galena Galena spends some very sentimental time with Mamm, and Nimm. Unfortunately all the talk distractions her from her cooking, and she ruins most of the food she attempts to make. She will still need more time to master the art. Aubrae Aubrae spends time meditating, and learns how to play the harp when she has time. Glenn Glenn prays, and deepens his connection with his Goddess. Vincent Vincent will need more time to practice, and improve his skills. Unfortunately the same can be said for Aquan. He will need more time to learn the language. Jaidiele Jaidiele spends some time with Nasaadi. She's still not friendly, but is adjusting to her new life one day at a time. Salazar Salazar learns how to speak, read, and write gnoll from Medi. It's an awful, simplistic, and barbaric language. The complete opposite of what was written in the letter. Cedrych Cedrych has trouble finding someone, but does learn that The Zweilund Islands have many unsavory ship captains who might be interested in such jobs without any coin up front. Though they tend to be untrustworthy pirates. Kasimir Kasimir teaches Low Brecht to Tal, Thrum, and improves his skills. Agatha Agatha spends some time practicing under Prudence, bu she will need more time to truly grasp the lessons being taught to her. It will require her to drop some of her pride, and accept that her sister is sometimes right when she corrects some of Agatha's bad happens and lack of attention span. The Baroness says that she will send some wood to begin a building a treetop sanctum. Unfortunately her men are tied up with Prudence's grove at the moement. OOC: Marked off 20 renown in exchange for 2,000gp worth of supplies. You cannot begin construction unless you have enough gold to cover starting labor costs however. Nim Nim learns how to survive out in the wilderness all on her own, and teaches Galena how to cook as well! Prudence The Baroness lets Prudence know that she knows some sidhelien familiar with attaching arcane tree towers onto druid groves, and suggestions that this seems like the best option. She offers to send a crew to help build it, but informs the alseid she will not have any available men until the druid's grove is finished. Prudence learns quite a bit about survival from the book (gaining expertise in survival as a result). She teaches Agatha during her free time. OOC: Marked off 20 renown, and in exchange 2,000gp of the effective cost is paid in labor. HOWEVER it will only begin progress AFTER Prudence's grove is complete. Portia Portia spends time with Ant training the undead monkey (see Ant's downtime). Berry Berry hugs. Ant Ant spends time with his love, time teaching Vincent, and then takes some time to help with the monkey. The monkey slowly learns how to do basic tasks, and becomes slightly better trained. However raw, and fresh flesh is required to get it to behave with 100% certainty. It also still needs a name. Mamm Mamm as a lovely few weeks with her friends and family. Skag Skag hugs. Medi The Kallanon lets Medi know that her sister Teresa needs a special potion crafted from Tears of the Tortured, An Eye of the Innocent, The Wings of a Pixie, and The Tongue of Traitor. How he discovered this is anyone's guess, but it's obvious from the conversation he put a great deal of effort into this. He lets Medi know that gathering the ingredients will not be an easy task. Not to mention the moral quandary of such a thing. Cordie Cordie doesn't find any signs of Baba Migori. She does research on the corruption, and discovers that The Margreve can cleanse corruption. However later on she discovers that this is indeed not true. Rather than cleanse, The Margreve instead takes corruption out of a creature, purifies it, and gives birth to it in The Shadow World. It is said that this is the true origin of all great evils in The Margreve, either directly or indirectly. Shadow Fey are said to have been born from The Margreve purifying the evil out of natural creatures such as sidhelien. The book is unfortunately completely useless, and far too boring for Cordie to sit through. She gets about one chapter in before closing it. It suggests casting spells by doing things like math to calculate spell distance, speed, acceleration, force, etc. It's full of formulas that sometimes take up multiple pages. It might however be useful to a wizard interested in such things. It could allow them to modify their spells assuming they were willing to put up with all the boorishness of it. Sithric Sithric trains Zero, and vice versa. Unfortunately it appears that both of them will need more time to learn their respective skills. Robert Robert spends some time playing with the bugs, but unfortunately doesn't manage to craft anything useful. Shango Shango spends time trying to learn Rjuven, but will need more time to master the language. Eirena Eirena began to go through designs in her head, but bringing those designs into reality was another story. Brognir was a good teacher, but smithing was a difficult craft. Eirena would need more time, and practice before completing her objective. Zero Zero will need more time to train his ability to spot things on the fly. He teaches Sithric in exchange. Veilitos Veilitos improves his study of magic, and heads back to the Temple of Elil to study things more closely. He however can't for the life of him figure out the temple's secrets, and those damned bugs keep coming back from the crystal room no matter how many times they are killed. Theq Theq visits his home, and brings plenty of coin to go around. Whilst at first his family and friends are proud of him the novelty quickly wears away. Somehow Theq finds himself more distant from them than before. The small town folk aren't used to fancy living, and slowly he finds himself emotionally isolated in his own home. The firbolg slowly gets the feeling that even those who still hang around with him are only doing so because of his money. Zolis Zolis spends some time reading this odd book which claims that magic isn't real. Instead it talks about how it is simply a hoax, and how everything that it does can be explained with scientific reason. It is oddly interesting, but it slowly devolves into madness. The final page simply is the number 42 written in large bold letters. Drago Drago receives Leana's blessing, and heads back to Drachenward. He pays to continue the construction of his new tower, and asks Queen Freya to send her message. Larmedylth appears, and tells Drago that she doesn't wish to give him the power of her blood. She fears he will share Bellasaar's fate if she does. Especially with The Void Dragon still on the loose. Eventually she reluctantly agrees to begin the process with Dragomir, but only if he swears to never fight The Void Dragon, and to run if he ever catches wind of its presence. Presphine gives Drago an odd potion. She tells him it is an elixir that will protect a person against one effect. The potion is thick, purple, and swirls with wondrous magic. OOC: This elixir changes the next Constitution saving throw you make to a 25. It lasts one hour after being drunk, and has no effect if it is not triggered during that time. Orithar Orithar doesn't find any sign that this book exists in The Cohort. He doesn't find any spells this week. Fenris The Ceremony of Investiture requires time, patience, and a shrine that cannot be brought with someone. Unfortunately it's something that would be difficult to do during downtime. Korak Korak will still need more time to master the flail. He learns from his family, and spends time repairing their relationship. It's very touching. Hedrin Hedrin commissions his gift, and lives with the Minotaur people. He however will need more time to learn Midgardian. Arealendael is very thankful for the garment. Tal, Thrum Tal, Thrum starts learning Low Brecht, but will need some more time to really get anything outside of 'hello' down. Darvius Darvius continues training with The Kallanon. The training is getting easier every day. Brognir Brognir earns 96ss, and 72bp. Other than that he teaches Eirena. Phage Shlar begins teaching Phage the powers of the arcane. As Phage tried to recall her memories she remembered the ocean. She remembered a large night's sky. The Throne of Dreams. A ship being pulled by a blind stone god through the rivers of The Underworld. On it were all the plant's of this world, growing, twisting, and bouncing upon the ocean waves. On its surface were goats with the bodies of men, and men with the legs of goats. Around them were Serpentine Lamia, and they all frolicked and danced around a fountain of pristine and pure water. At the back of the ship sat a beautiful blonde hair, black-eyed woman. She was the size of a giantess, and towered over the small creatures that danced before her. Atop her head sat a closed third eye, and in her hands was a crystalline scythe. She sat alone in front of a second one of these pools, and leered into it curiously. Adjusting the crown of greenery atop her head the woman looked to Phage and the Ice Maiden.  "Thylea. Hypnos. Lutheria" She said. With that the dream ended, and Phage awoke in the arms of the Ice Maiden. Oddly enough the dream felt more real than the memory of waking from it. Tristan Tristan continues to learn Midgardian, but is still having trouble with the language. He will need more time to get a firm grasp on it. Though he can at least engage in the most basic level of conversation (hello, how are you, etc.). The mirror gives no reply. Lindal Lindal trains, and practices his skills. He levels up. Shlar Shlar finds the spell Gentle Repose. Roland Roland trains, and levels up. Savas Savas buys the pair of matching rings for himself, and Eirena. They are quite elegant, and beautiful. Finely crafted enough that they would suit a king or queen. After that he spends some time with Nasaadi who is slowly growing more accustomed to her new surroundings. She certainly isn't 'normal,' but she is however beginning to act more like one would expect.
