Champions/Hero game

I don't see an option under the games to list a game as Hero Games or Champions. Is there a way to either get a game system added or type in the name yourself and have it save? <a href="http://www.herogames.com/index.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.herogames.com/index.html</a>

Games are added to the list when there are a sufficient number of campaigns being run for that system. "Sufficient number" means that if someone would search for campaigns under that system, they'd be near-guaranteed to find a result. In short: the means by which you can get a system added to the list is to convince more people to play that system. Until and unless that happens, use "Other Games" and put the specific system in the game description.
I do not believe a game has ever actually been added though. People have been asking for Hero forever and to this point is still has not made the cut. In the mean time I would just put other an add the Hero - Hero system - and perhaps Champions tags to the game. When I was running my Fantasy Hero that is what I did. PS: I think it is funny that they still have five versions of D&D and Pathfinder all listed individually, and game like Mouse Guard and Nemenera (spelling?) which likely only have 5 or 10 games open at a time but no Hero when we frequently see Hero asked for. Hmm, perhaps one of the developers had a Champion die in the first session and never forgot... Nah all joking aside, just keep posting and playing, eventually they might decide to add it. There are currently 3 games listed as Champions/Hero system.

Ndreare , things like what games are added to the search list will come in cycles. The next time the Developers revisit this issue they will look at what games should be added. Jackie , as Brian stated, please use "Other Games" and put the system in the title or game description. It is worth noting that this is just for searching for games using the LFG listings. It has no bearing on what games can be played using Roll20. This search system was implemented because people were putting in multiple different ways of representing a single game. In order to search for D&D you had to search for Dungeons and Dragons, D&D, DnD, etc.

Just out of curiosity I searched for my own system of interest (FantasyCraft) and couldn't find my own campaign? It's in the description though not in the title. I changed the campaign settings access to public and that made no difference. I searched specifically for my title and couldn't find it. I experimented looking for champions and heroes games as well, but no luck which really surprised me! So, can someone verify that this is working? It's self-fulfilling that systems that seem marginal never become more than that without a little help. :-(

I have tested it and it is working for me. Are you looking for tags, text or systems? I tend to leave system blank and just search for text. did you change your games setting to looking for group? Go into your campaign Details screen look at the top and you will see blue text that says " Looking for Players Listing (Disabled) " click on that and enable it, if you want to look for players.

I am on the Looking for Group page in the Find Games to Join section. I found the link you mentioned and filled it in (giving 1 more player than we have in case that made a difference -- I'm not actually looking for any more players). I've then searched for the title of my game in the keywords field (I don't know how to look for tags specifically, although I've given my game a fantasycraft tag in the My Campaigns. ) I've tried this both in conjunction with an Other Games tag and without but it made no difference (to finding my campaign -- someone else's popped up).
Hey Dan - make sure that the "Next game will be" field has a date in the future listed. Having a date in the past causes the game to be filtered out from the search; I'm not sure if a blank field does as well.

Yup, it was in the future -- set for tomorrow actually.

I believe if you change the game from private to public, it can take a couple hours for the change to propagate, and won't be immediately available in the search results. This may be what you're experiencing.
So Dan, I am curious. Were you ever able to get it to work for you?

Ndreare, I tried it again tonight, leaving it on for awhile. I was contacted a few minutes ago by someone who actually stumbled upon it! And, when searching for it myself, I found it as well. SO, I can definitely say that the system appears to work…. Now I just have to tell this disappointed person that I don't actually have an open slot…. Not sure if that should be a :-) or a :-(
