Hi John. I'm Gold. Are you looking for games to join and play, or are you mainly asking about accessibility of the interface for setting up your own games with your friends? There are campaigns on here with Game Masters looking for players. My tip is to look for an accommodating GM and group of friendly players who are willing to help guide you along, in a game that focuses more on the talking and listening, rather than the tokens which are miniature figures on the map that may be harder to control in the interface. Some campaigns use the visual elements more, such as maps and moving the tokens around the screen. Other campaigns focus on voice, description, narration, and I imagine this would be the best type of campaign for you. Most campaigns make use of the text chat box, which has typed codes for rolling dice. If the chat box is not adequately accessible, there are other ways of rolling the dice, and someone can help you with that in a friendly group. There are 2 or 3 ways to find campaign groups on here. There is the Looking For Group sub-forum, and the Looking For Group search engine. Finally there is the Player Directory and your personal profile on here. If you are seeking to find a group of players to join a campaign, my advice is to fill-in your personal profile, telling a bit about yourself in the Player Directory. Next, make another forum thread post, but this time under "Looking For Group" sub-forum, and describe yourself and what kind of game you are looking for. A game master could reach out to you there, respond, and invite you in to a game. Finally, go to Looking For Group search engine link at the top, and try to find games that appeal to you, perhaps games that mention voice-only, "narrative", story based, no maps, or "the theater of the mind" which means descriptive games. When you find a game that is offered in the search engine, you must post a short message on their LFG page, asking to join the game, like an application. Here you can describe yourself and mention you're blind, and ask the GM if their game can work for you. If you visit these 3 areas of the site, I am confident that you can find a group of players and a G.M. to join in their adventures, verbally. For sound, some games use the built-in voice mechanism of Roll20, which is called tokbox. Other games request you use Skype, or Google Hangouts, for voice and webcam. What game systems do you like, anyway? The Looking For Group search engine has a drop-down menu where you can narrow down the games you are searching for. Or just leave it blank to search for all games that are open to new players. In time you can probably find a group that's perfect for you. I hope these ideas help, and also that you find the site accessible enough to get involved and play.
