Charactermancer Will Not Let Me Work On My Character

I was using Charactermancer to make my DnD 5e character and everything was going good for some time; however, once I finished my background and was getting ready to go to the next tab, Charactermancer suddenly went back to the Race tab and will not go past said tab. I have tried exiting, reloading and trying again, but it did not work. I then downloaded Google Chrome to see if that would work, but it did not work. I am new to Roll20, so I do not know if it might work, but I am about to see if my DM will delete my character and give me a new sheet to work on. The session is in 6 days and I hope everything will work out.

That is odd. One thing to check is that you have not popped Charactermancer out into its own window. You can control that behavior on the in-game Settings tab. Also make sure you are using either Chrome or Firefox as your browser.

Thank you for the quick reply, keithcurtis. I am tired of trying to figure out why Charactermancer is doing this and, quite frankly, I just want to get out of it and input character details manually. I looked at a different forum about any known Charactermancer bugs and I came across one called "Charactermancer (5e OGL) 1.0 Bug Report Thread" on Roll20 for more information; however, I am still stumped. To go further into my problem, after downloading Google Chrome, I was hoping that my problem would fix itself after exiting the game, reloading and re-entering the game. Nothing changed sadly. I tried seeing of the "Back" and "Next" buttons would work and they would not. The only button that would work is the button to go back to the top. As I stated before, I just want to get off of Charactermancer as it is raising my blood pressure and frustration, but nothing is working. Do you have any ideas that might work? Note: I will be using Google Chrome.

I am assuming this is not a game of your creation, otherwise, if your goal is to abandon the character and start over, it's just a matter of closing the window, deleting the character and creating a new one. If you want to try to abandon the current charactermancer session, but keep the character itself, you can try the following procedure. I cannot guarantee there will be no data loss, though. Scroll to the top of the character journal window and click the Attributes and Abilities tab. If it does not appear, try closing and opening the journal. The first attribute is called |1mancer_status. Put the word "completed" in the first field of that attribute. When you return to the character sheet tab, the sheet should be out of Charactermancer mode and allow you to enter information manually. I'm sorry you've had such a frustrating experience. Be aware that Charactermancer usually goes very smoothly. I can't easily guess what might have gone wrong based on what you've reported.

Hello again keithcurtis, I am greatly pleased to inform you that I told my DM what was going on and he made my character for me with a base template so I could fill in the information. The character sheet itself is working and I have no current problems. Thank you for responding to me on multiple occasions and I hope you have a great day.
