LFP - "Learn to play 5e" oneshot - PST/EST

I'm seeking brand new and newish players to D&D and/or tabletop RPG's in general who are looking to learn the basics. This game will be geared towards teaching people how to play D&D, so if you're experienced, this may not be the game for you. This will be a welcoming environment with no judgments so you can feel comfortable asking questions and putting yourself out there. this game will happen on a Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, or Thurs at a time agreed on by the group. Don't be shy! Post here if you're interested and let's loot some dungeons and slay some dragons!
I'm interested. I have a lot of experience with different tabletop rpgs over a lot of years (as well as other roleplaying and acting), but I've never played 5e and I'm looking to learn it so I can start gamemastering it online. Seems to be the lingua franca around here and though I'm studying the system it's good to have a couple games under the belt as player as well. Do you have a discord? If so, add me at Wiegenlied#9986 please. Otherwise messages here are fine ofc
I'm mildly familiar with D&D but not roll20 and there's a lot I can't seem to figure out, would love something like this.
Hi, I am familiar with 5e but not with roll 20. Would I be able to join a one shot? So I can get the hang of roll 20?
If there's enough interest, we can do multiple groups, but I'd like to keep each group ro 4-5 players.
Hi. I am a long time player of many table top games. I haven't played anything in several years. The last DnD i knew was 3.5 . I am new on roll 20 trying to find a way to be a player again and figure out something to run for family not living near  me. I would love to learn 5e . If i like it then I know that is something I should order books for and perhaps can find a group to play in here with this experience under my belt.

I'm very interested. I played many homemade role plays, but never D&D and I really wanna try. I even have some characters ready on D&D Beyond. My problem is... I never play on roll20 and i'm very anxious about my english, because it's not my native language.
Thanks for doing this. I'm a DnD and Roll20 newbie and would love the chance to learn how to play. What's needed to join in?
Hi,  I'm very interested, I'm brand new to D&D and tabletop RPG's in general ( I grew up in a very small town which possessed no interest for such thing, unfortunately.) As such, I'm also new to Roll20. Seems like an amazing little site though. I'm also mostly interested in D&D, I've watched a few videos, and about 30+ hours of Critical Role haha I've also made a character sheet on Beyond D&D. I do live in Australia, but I'm pretty sure I can fit almost anytime(s) with little effort. Thanks in advance.
Hi Seero, I have never actually played a tabletop RPG. I've been wanting to join a campaign for a long time but never had any luck with local groups so just recently decided to try the online route.  I have listened to a bunch of D&D podcasts and have a decent understanding of how the game works. I'm very interested in your proposal to play a one-off (or more, whatever works) campaign to learn the ropes. I just moved to Europe and I won't be working for at least a couple more months so my schedule is flexible. Keen to hear more from you :) Cheers
I forgot to mention that since this is a oneshot meant to teach basics, we will be using pre-generated characters and we will be using Discord for voice.
Lol I am about as new as it comes. I am researching d and d because I have always been interested in its concept. I have no idea how it works or how this site works hahaha. The final goal I have is to link my family together in a game. My brothers live across the US and we have a hard time bonding really now that we all moved away. We all like board games, and 1 of my brothers actually has done d&d. We all have agreed to try to pursue this effort, but it is up to me to do the research about how to even make this possible. I guess we need to hire a dm or something? I don't really even know where to begin, but this site seems useful if we do.
The time for the first game is set for Sunday the 15th at 2pm EST. If you can't make that game but still want to play in this oneshot, don't hesitate to post here. Like I said, we can run more than one group.
Thanks for responding to my thread, this looks perfect. I'd love to join in on your game, and the scheduled time works for me.

Hey I never played D&D, but watched a bit on youtube and I'm interested in joinging your campaing. How does this work? Do you send a pm or do I have to register somewhere on this site? Looking forward to it
Hey, I've recently picked up an interest in DnD. I've never played it but always wanted to give it a try but I've never had a chance. I'd love the opportunity to play a game online and see if I like it. I'm very easy going and am more than happy to take it slow so we can all learn together The only caveat I have is that I live in the UK so the latest I can join a session on a weeknight is probably about 7pm EST. Weekends are all good however. How long do you anticipate a session would last?  If that's too awkward for you then no worries. Thanks for running beginners games!
I am interested in joining. I haven’t played anything or a bit familiar with the rules but would like to learn
