Lost a lot of work on GM Layer

Prior to our last session, I had created a world map in roll20. I had placed a variety of elements on the background layer that the players are supposed to see, and placed a lot of items on the GM layer that they don't know about yet. We played that session and everything was great. During the session, as they learnt about locations on the map, I moved them from the GM layer to the map background layer so they could see it. This map had a LOT of elements on it. After our session, I took a break from worrying about this map and only opened it last night (about 3 weeks later). As far as I can tell, the entire GM layer (minus ONE item for some reason) has been cleared, and so has the token layer. I am the only one who should've been able to edit this, and I haven't touched it since our session, I would love to not have to redo my work- I appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Where did the assets you place come from? I ask as there have been reports recently of web searched images (done in the VTT directly) becoming broken and therefore no longer being visible.
Hey Ziechael, the assets came from web searches. Do you think the data could still be there, but since there are missing images they are not appearing?

It's likely that the images have either been removed from the source or the link has changed in some way, either way you'd need to search for the images and again and reuse them. For full security you'd need to download the assets locally then upload then to your library but that will eat up your library space...
That won't make the original tokens reappear though will it?

I'm afraid not, the only thing that will do that is if the original source is somehow restored and with the exact same link as before (the only way I can see that happening is if there was some fault between Roll20 and the source that gets fixed). You could run through the trouble shooting steps, specifically the console log, to try and identify a problem but I'd have to say that my money is on the source image simply not existing in the same location any more in which case... yup, gone forever... sorry :(
