[Zweihander] Useful macros from a first time player

I played a one-shot of Zweihander with some people from discord recently and was surprised that there wasn't a button on the sheet to roll Fury or Initiative and they had to be typed manually or everyone had to make a macro for it. After making a simple macro I did some research wanting to make it look like the sheet rolls in chat (apply the template) and make it more versatile. After spending an entire Saturday finding things that I realized could be used for other rolls I made these four macros. These macros are in the form of Name Macro code Note to keep in mind when setting up the macro or your sheet. They are written to be used added to macros from the sidebar as Token Actions. If preferred these can be added as abilities to character sheets by removing the @{selected|} from around variables for your character like character_name and initiative Fury &{template:zweihander} {{character=@{selected|character_name} }} Initiative &{template:zweihander} {{character=@{selected|character_name} }} {{initiative:= **initiative}-@{selected|encumbrance_overage}&{tracker} ** }} Since Current Initiative doesn't auto-calculate on the sheet this uses your normal Initiative minus Overage (if you have any overage reducing your initiative, make it a positive number in the box). Damage &{template:zweihander} {{character=@{selected|character_name} }} {{**?{damage|0}** damage vs. @{target|character_name} }}  {{DT:= **@{target|damage_threshold1}**, one Damage step }} {{6+DT:= **@{target|damage_threshold2}**, two Damage steps }} {{12+DT: **@{target|damage_threshold3}**, three Damage steps }} {{ 18+DT: **@{target|damage_threshold4}**, Slain! }} Determines what Damage Condition you inflict based on the damage inflicted. Select the attacker, use the macro, then the target and enter the damage the attacker rolled. GMs may want to make it a GM macro to keep results secret. I would love to have it auto-determine the result instead of the user comparing to the list, but this is my first time using roll20, I'm not that proficient with it. Injury &{template:zweihander} {{@{target|character_name} suffers ?{Damage Condition|Moderately Injured, 0})d6kh1>6 Moderate|Severely Injured, 0})d6kh1>6 Severe|Grievously Injured, 0})d6kh1>6 Grievous } Injury }} Determine if the token you click, you or an enemy, suffers an injury when they move down the damage condition track (such as Lightly Injured to Moderately Injured). Can add Chaos Die to account for Vicious weapons, etc. that caused the drop. If you edit the macro a second time you'll have to re-paste this since it will replace some of the html code with symbols that will break the macro. Bonus: I played a Dwarf with Grudgebearer, so I figured out how to factor Fury exploding on 5 or 6 into the weapon damage. Enter 1d6!>5} into the Damage Modifier box (click the arrow on the weapon entry to show), which causes Fury to explode on 5 or 6 and add to damage, ending the macro a step early before rolling Fury normally.

Very nice. Maybe someone will integrate them into the current sheet.

I know the Zweihander folks mentioned an official compendium in the works with Roll20.  I think there was mention of the sheet needing to be worked on after that was finished, but it has been a while (4-5 months), so plans may have changed (or been delayed) in that time.  Might be good to bring up with on the Zweihander Discord (if you are on there) and see if you get a response from Daniel.  I have no idea who would be involved in the changes, or if they are currently testing an upgrade or replacement.
Yeah I was going to message the sheet author here on roll20 only to be met with an error about permission or something.
I couldn't create a expression for multiple conditions for explode, I was hoping to have a system for gunpowder weapons as they explode on a 1 or a 6, is that possible to roll.  rolling 4d6!=1 sets the explosion to 1s only, I couldn't figure out how to make it explode on 6 ,or 1 or for like some rare and deadly dwarves  6, 5, and 1.

I've been in contact with the sheet author (link at the bottom of the sheet) he seems to be very responsive and rolled out a number of fixes recently.

When gunpower weapons explode on one, is it just a normal roll dice and add? You can use 1d6!1!!6 or 1d6!!1!6. I recommend this version: 1d6!1!!6 Both ! and !! explode by rolling an extra dice, but they look different. The !! version rolls the extra dice and adds as if it were a single die. So if you had 1!!, and rolled 1, then 1, then 5, it would show up as a single die of 7.  Whereas if you had 1!, and rolled a 1, then 1, then 5, it would show three dice, each with those values (with a total provided afterwards). If this roll is an inline roll, you wont see these unless you hover over the roll - you'll just see the total, which works the same for both. If you have 1!! you cannot tell if your rolled a natrual 5, or a 1 then a 4: both will be shown as a single die of 5. This is why its better to use the ! version on the 1, and the !! version on the 6 - you do can the extra dice when roll roll a 1.

If there's a way roll20 can parse "1 OR 6" you may be able to get it to explode on both. I can't use the link for some reason, so if you want to send these to him you're welcome to do so. We have a first-time DM and players dropped in and out because of schedules, so we switched our game to D&D 5e before the Zweihander game even got off the ground.
