Torch always behind player's token with Dynamic Light

Hi, I'm having an issue with the Dynamic Light when adding a torch into my game. As you can see in the gif , one of my players always sees the torch behind him, even when selecting "above" for the torch's token :( Thanks for the help !

This is the expected behavior of tokens. Those with sight, that are controlled by a player, always appear on top of other tokens, to help players select their character. There are a couple of options. Place the torch setting on the character instead of a separate object. You don't need to see a physical torch token. If you want an indicator of who is holding the torch, you can use a token marker. Group the two objects. This takes a little finesse, as the grouping behavior is quirky. To move a single object in a group, click on the object and move it. To move the entire group, click once to select the group, and then click and move.

This is "expected" behavior.  There was a change about 8 months ago that causes tokens with sight/controlled by settings to get popped above other tokens.  Depending on what you're trying to accomplish, you might be able to adjust the sight/controlled by settings on the torch to get it to be where you want it.  Someone else in the community might have better insight for you, hopefully they'll post soon. =D

(HA!!  or just as I post...)
Or upgrade to Pro for API and use the Carry Token and it works like a charm.  Totally cool.  Well worth whatever the cost is, like $100 a year or something.  But yea, Keith's solution to light the character is easier.  That's normally what we do.  I don't have PCs carrying around torch icons.  You just set it on the PC and if they lose their light you turn it off.  Of course, with the Pro sub you can have buttons that change all that with just a click or two.  It's REALLY, TOTALLY, SUPER WAY MASS AWESOME!!!  (I love pro features like that)
or cant you just set the torch token as always on top ?

Nope, for the reasons listed above. "[tokens] with sight, that are controlled by a player, always appear on top of other tokens, to help players select their character"
I don't think it's a good idea, or we should be able to turn this feature off :(

I agree in principle. I believe it was a concession to solve some optimization problems in Dynamic Lighting.
