Stupid Newbie Tricks with Saltmarsh bundle - help!

Hi all: Just signed up with subscription and bought the Saltmarsh bundle. The tutorials are pretty... meh! I did the basic tutorial and know how all the buttons work. With Saltmarsh how do I: 1) launch a pre-made map? 2) run a fight? 3) is there a chat support function? I have lots of tiny questions thanks!

1) The maps are in the pages tab at the top of the VTT window. 2) that's a very broad question. Is there a particular part that is giving you trouble? I can probably offer some video or wiki resources. This series might help. In general, every character sheet has an initiative button, which will place them on the turn tracker. Most attacks on a sheet are clickable. Just click on it to roll the relevant dice. 3) No live chat support. The forums are fairly responsive. There is a wiki and a help center, both linked in the "Community" menu above. For serious problems (bugs, billing, loss of service, etc.) there is email support at team@roll20.net.
thanks! So to get the player on the turn tracker they click their button, got it. How do I get the damage from an attack to wound a monster? Do I manually apply it? would be nice to have a quick tutorial for published adventures where you are paying :)

Macros can reference sheet values to use them in rolls, but can't change them. But hp is (or should be) in one of the bubbles on a token. When selected, you can edit it direct there. You really should start checking out things on the wiki. There is a lot of info there, and you might realize why a "quick" tutorial is problematic. The wiki also has a video series that has a little age, but should cover a lot of stuff for getting started. I think Keith might have a video or 2 that might be good, but I don't have links right off. The wiki series is here: https://wiki.roll20.net/Roll20_Crash_Course
