The year is 2199 Dale Reckoning, a malevolent force has ruled over the continent of Qetrix for thousands of years only known as the Inhaler of Time. Denizens of the outer planes, the Underdark, and all manner sentient beasts rule over the once proud citizens of Qetrix. The empires of Man, Mer, and Dwarf are long since disbanded, their deities forgotten, their cultures destroyed, only stories remain. One man seeks to end the darkness and re-establish the order of the Forgotten Times, to bring the oppression of humanity to its end. Andrim Stoneheart has gathered a small rebellion in the town of Baford in hopes of spreading word of his cause through guerrilla tactics until the rebellion has grown strong enough to strike at the heart of the Inhaler of Time. Will you answer Stoneheart's call and against all odds seek to overthrow the Inhaler of Time? This is a homebrew setting of mine that I have been DM'ing in for 3 years now. The setting would be a lower magic setting with normal humanoids at the bottom of society instead of the top. All offical races and classes are welcome. Hello there! I play the part of "and player" in this post ;). My name is Danielle &amp; I am the DM's wife. I am excited to get more D&amp;D into our lives. We have a monthly group of friends that meet in person, but we can all agree, I am sure, monthly is not nearly enough! A little about me: I have played for just about 4 years or so, and I make the horrible joke that I am a career cleric because it is both my favored class as well as one that has, to date, produced my very favorite character I have played. She is my little (halfling joke) D&amp;D pride and joy. Halflings are fun to play (that halfling luck!) but my favored race might be Tiefling or Drow...I think they are complex and interesting. I tend towards more of an RP heavy play style because I generally make more charasmatic characters, but I enjoy battle when appropriate. I also love strategical and puzzle based play, too. I look forward to rolling up a new character and playing soon!

I am personable, goal-oriented, hard-working, punctual, respectful, as are my characters (except for the personable and respectful). The central tenet of any DND character in my view should generally be to not die, and I play my character like that, but I am also willing to take risks for increased power or to achieve goals of my character / team, but generally, I do not do 'silly things' that could result in death, damage yes, but not death. I like to RP in terms of strategizing around combat and also encounters generally being to-the-point and either funny or somewhat rude, but not in a player-demeaning way, in a poking fun at the character or NPC or situation. I love casters, so I don't know how that would work out in your world. I would like to play a wizard, as I love them, but I could play a barbarian or rogue if you do not allow casters. Blurb about what type of play you like (RP heavy, Combat heavy): When the group is firing on all cylinders, it doesn't matter to me.&nbsp; The thing I like most about combat is not so much the dice rolling (though there's few feelings like critting a smite), it's all the players hitting their marks, fulfilling their roles and getting their chances to shine - especially after our 'foolproof' plan has gone all to hell and we are all trying to improv.&nbsp; If the DM can spin the spell and the players can trust him/her enough, the RP can be just as compelling.&nbsp; My buddies and I once had a three and a half hour session where it wasn't until the end that we realized we hadn't rolled a single die - and we all had a blast.&nbsp; Either way, if I can laugh with friends it is time well spent.
