Hello there! My names Jessica and I'm posting here on behalf of myself and friend (Ashley) as we are very keen to start a new campaign where we can both play together as currently we take turns in our regular game to DM. We have previously played together as a 2 person group in campaigns that have lasted over a year and another that last 5 months, we're super dedicated and enthusiastic and ready to tell a story with you! We are currently searching for a Non-Paid game, which I appreciate are somewhat scarce these days, and more importantly a DM we can become friends with <3  Our timezones and work commitments mean that together we really only have  Friday's  at the specific time in the title free to play,  9pm GMT/4pm EST* (currently due to daylight savings difference this is 9pm GMT / 5pm EST but that'll flip back to normal in a few weeks) , and whilst we will always try to adjust if there's a bump in someone's schedule we are both very eager to find someone who is available at a regular time to play with us. We're happy to discuss both weekly and bi-weekly options, or find something that suits you too.  Important Ideals Ashley & I are both very into the roleplaying side of this roleplaying game. We love deep lore, intricate backstories and rewarding storytelling. It's really important that we find a DM who is not only on the same page as us but is also looking for this kind of play style & enjoys it. We want to work with you to tell a story and uncover mysteries! We want you to tie in our backstories and use them for great narrative moments. Finding a DM who is interested in the character story, both back and moving forward, and including personal plots would be truly wonderful. We'd be thrilled to connect with your NPCs and truly feel like the world is alive around us. We like to make combat a narrative experience by describing how spells look and the thoughts & feelings in the moment but we also appreciate the little moments that help build connections and ties between the party. Knowing who we're playing with is and being comfortable with each other enough to play the game to the fullest extent is a must . We have discord and will be available to bounce ideas around and chat as much as you are. It would be great to have a chance to chat with you beforehand and having a session 0 is something we've found always helps all games. When playing, ideally, the sessions will be done with both video & voice as we have found this is the most engaging and fun way for us to enjoy the time together.  Have fun . No seriously, it's really obvious when a DM isn't enjoying themselves and just going through the motions. Your enjoyment when playing with us is just as important and open & fair communication is the best way to ensure that. This would be our bi/weekly game as a group and 4 hours a week is a lot of time to spend not enjoying yourself. We do not take everything super serious and enjoy breaking character to laugh at something funny, make jokes or references or just honestly talk like normal humans. We truly are looking for both a DM & a new friend so it's important we're all enjoying ourselves together. Why Us? I've spent a lot of time talking about what we're looking for and the ideal match we'd find in a DM but I thought I'd take a second to outline a few reasons that may sway you from clicking that back button and sticking around till the end :) We're both incredibly passionate & creative. Not only will our goal be for you to enjoy yourself in game but we both also enjoy creating and exploring out of game too. I personally love to build aesthetics, playlists custom character sheets and other graphics for the characters and world. Sometimes I get over excited and commission art for the PCs too, just to bring it all to life. Ashley is also an amazing artist who gets just as wrapped up in the world we're exploring and we want to share that with you too. We're dedicated. Short of an emergency, which in the 2 years of playing with people on Roll20 has never happened, we're not going to flake on you! If we do need to skip a session we always make sure we tell you days in advance. We like to do little writing exercises between sessions to help stay in character or develop them further.  We'll help you. We both have tons of resources available from PDFs to maps and graphics and content unlocked on DDB that we'll be willing to share with you. We're both patient enough and have been on the other side of the screen to help with any technical issues too. We're pretty chill players. We're not going to demand items or XP, we will never meta-game, we're not going to complain or be rude.  Campaigns  At the moment we are just looking at having a very small campaign for the 2 of us, we have both shared a character as the 3rd party member in the past and this has gone smoothly. If needed I think we're more than capable of running 2 characters each, as long as you don't get too weirded out with us talking to ourselves sometimes if needed. We have played in 2-person campaigns before and with a little level scaling for battles this tends to work fine and the DMs we've played with have said it's much easier to balance plot heavy storylines equally between the characters with a smaller group too. We both have preferred play styles & classes, I personally love full casters & support mainly, but enjoy challenging ourselves and creating new characters to try new things. We want to work with you to create a balanced team that fits the world you've envisioned. We have played a handful of homebrew settings and campaigns and if you have a world you've been working hard on that you'd like to play through we would love if you wanted to share that with us. We are both avid world builders too so if you wanted to work together to weave a story we would be more than up for that.  In terms of official campaigns we have both played Curse of Strahd, though not to completion, and whilst we did enjoy the campaign would prefer not to play it again so soon. We have both also played the very beginning of SKT. Recently we have played through Descent into Avernus and completed it, though the way we did so was very accidentally unorthodox and I get the feeling we missed a lot due to it. Ghosts of Saltmarsh is the most interesting looking official campaign along with the very newly released Explorers Guide to Wildemount , but if you have one you've ran a handful of times that you love please feel free to suggest them as we'd love to have the chance to try something new & appreciate buying new modules is expensive. I'll post a little bit about myself personally in a reply below and Ashley will be along shortly to do the same, just so you can get a feel & an introduction to us. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read through this, I truly appreciate you making it to the end! :)
Hey there, I was the last DM for this lovely pair! Jessica and Ashley have provided, the best company and roleplaying experiences I've had in quite some time. In our campaign, we started their characters off at level 6 and unfortunately had to stop when their characters were level 12. During those six levels, they were on time for every session, always called in advance if they were going to miss something and we always had a great time together. Eventually, they became very good friends of mine! Any storyteller would be lucky to have this pair onboard. So please, someone pick them up!

Thanks Evan :) As promised, a little about me section so you can get a feel for 1/2 of the players!  I've been roleplaying for 15 years+, mostly through a written format, but have come to love the storytelling style that D&D encourages. I have been playing 5th Edition for almost three years now and I'm not too proud to say I'm still learning with every game, in fact who isn't? I love looking into fun character builds, understanding spells and the game mechanics.  I personally also enjoy solving puzzles, going with an ebb & flow of a campaign (i.e. not every session must have combat or that sometimes a shopping montage  is  fun, a break in the tension for a moment of lightheartedness) and political intrigue. I'm not the biggest fan of combat as it seems to be run by many but as long as it's dynamic and stays engaging then I'm more than happy to contribute as a team player. I like to add flavour and depth to battles and love when there's music and visuals to guide that experience too.  As a DM and a player I evoke the 'team spirit' side of things, everyone works together fairly and everyone gets equal time to play out important moments to them. No one should horde all the loot and no one is against each other (i.e. DM vs Players or Players vs Players). I enjoy political intrigue and socialising within the game in general and will always give back the same energy put in. I want to feel as though my character is part of the world you're weaving, not just a replaceable piece that's moving through it. I like when choices have consequences that make sense and carry different weight. I also love homebrew stuff, both making my own which I publish on DDB and finding community created ones for the games. Levelling up and multiclassing are always things I like to feel have been earned through the game itself, not just as a mechanic, and I'll always speak with you about such things as we go!

your post sounds superinteresting. I have 2 questions: How tied are you in times? I live in Germany, which is currently GMT +1, and will be GMT +2 end of this month. This would be 11 pm as starting time for me, which is a bit late. Would you be willing to try other systems? By what you write, more story heavy systems like Powered by the apocalypse, Fate or Cypher system feel like a good fit.

Our clocks go forward at the end of the month too so I think it should still be GMT +1. I work fridays but I could look to bring the start time forward as early as 7.30pm if thats a more ideal start time?  I can't speak for Ashley but whilst I've never played other systems I am very interested! We're both very quick players who would probably be open to a new system especially if it supports heavy roleplay 🙂
