LFP dnd 5e. Lost mines of Phandelver. For beginners (with a beginner DM)

After failing to join a group I've decided to do my best as a DM instead. I would like to DM said adventure for 4 people that are cool with me being an almost total beginner DM (did it a bit as a kid, 37 now). On the other hand I am totally cool with you having no or very little experience too, so lets just try this out together! Instead of just failing to join a game lets just try to play and to have fun, and at least we will learn the game and the roll20 features. I'm aiming for a helping and nonjudgemental atmosphere. I have prepared the first part of the adventure with maps, tokens etc, and feel that I have a decent understanding of the rules and the roll20-system. Decent enough to roll with it. My plan is to try the inbuilt communication system with both camera and sound. I guess this first session (this evening 8pm GMT+1, if we get people) would be creating characters and go through rules if needed; and start playing if we get the time. I have not created characters in roll 20 yet, but should be farily easy. The one rule I have are no monks. If you have prebuilt characters that would be fine I guess (do you import them manually, or can you make characters in roll-20 beforehand, who knows?), but be prepared to change to get a fun and somewhat survivable party composition. Other than that it would be nice to see if we could weave together the characters backgrounds and maybe even tie it to the narrative a bit. Oh, and I would like players to be 16+ of age. I come from Sweden so english is not my first language (so it's totally fine if it isn't your first language neither as long as you can understand me and make others understand you to a degree). My time zone is GMT+1 and if we find it fun and continue playing my best time would be 7.30 pm any day except fridays, saturdays and mondays. /Olof
Hello! I would be interesting in playing in your game.  I am currently DMing Lost Mine of Phandelver and I would love to see it from the player side! Send me a message if you're ok with me playing.  :-) Thanks! Jocelyn Discord: biobean1204#4100
I would love to play if the scheduling works out! I'm 39 and played a bit as a kid as well but sadly not much as an adult.
I've been a primary DM on Roll20 for a couple years now, and I love when players take up the mantle!  So if you have any questions about Roll20 or DM'ing, I'd be more than happy to offer some advice and maybe a crash course or two. I'm in EST so that should put you 6 hours ahead, which works well for me. Let me know!
Hey hey! Would love to join your game. Im gmt +1 too. Got some knowledge about 5e but um new to roll20. Thanks!
