Hi all, I'm a fairly experienced DM and seeing as there seems to be an influx of newer players, and never enough DMs I wondered if people would be interested in a live 'tutorial' on how I go about writing and then running a one shot on Roll20. The session would be aimed at people who had never DM'd or possibly even played before and would be around 2 hours. We'll go through everything that you'd need to do to set up a game. The intention is that you'd be able to follow along 'at home' and by the end of the session you'd have a one shot that you'd be all ready to recruit players for. If the idea proves popular then I'll look to do more of these each week looking at different ideas, and concepts etc. The rough timings would probably be Saturday evenings GMT/CET, which is early afternoon in the US. With 5E being the most popular system around right now, I'd make the one-shot for 5E, but the same concepts can be applied to any system. The things we'd hope to look through during the first session: Coming up with a one-shot concept Translating that concept into something that can be run. Getting battle maps, monsters and tokens into Roll 20. How to handle situations that might arise in the game. Please do post below if it's something you'd be interested in.
