Creating custom background

If I create a custom background for a character in Charactermancer, is there a way to save it and apply it to another character sheet, rather than having to go through the whole creation process twice?

Unfortunately not. Many people have requested what amounts to custom compendiums, but for various reasons, this particular suggestion is obstructed at the moment.

Aw, that sucks and creates a lot of unnecessary work for GMs trying to help players. Thanks for the response!

I could be wrong, but I expect that custom compendiums will start out not being drag and drop anyway.  They will primarily be a different way of storing information that is easier to transfer from game to game.  A custom background really wouldn't require any more than a handout as things stand now.  It would be pretty easy to copy/paste from that to a character sheet.

You could even do your own index handout if you have multiple custom backgrounds.  Or a rollable table if you are having people generate them randomly.
