I am considering writing a story path set in an approximation of the futuristic world. I am curious if there is interest here for such an adventure. If I can get 4 people that are, then I can have something ready in 2 weeks. What do you think?
I am not sure. I like Pathfinder. I am going to look at it a bit and see how much adjustment it needs. I will also look at their futuristic system as it might be best. Would you have a preference on that?
Another system thatmight work for this is the SpyCraft system, it is D20, but a little older. Works for modern and futuristic settings though and really solid system from the 3.5 open GL days.
I'll take a look. That might work nice. Looking to minimize the amount of learning I need to do so I can focus on the mechanics specific to this world, such as how difficult it is to sense who someone is and whether or not you know them.
If you're looking to do an Altered Carbon-style game, and don't want to wait for the actual Altered Carbon RPG to release, I'd suggest looking into Eclipse Phase. The rules are a relatively straightforward percentile system, they've worked out all the rules for things like resleeving and stacks, and the 1st edition has a lot material available for it (the second edition just dropped recently, so not as much stuff, but it's still good).
