Multiclass Requests

Please post any multiclass requests here. Make sure to include the following: Your character's current classes, and their levels. The reason why you are multiclassing. Rather or not you already have a way in character to learn or obtain your new class, or if you need to work with a DM to come up with one. Be aware if you already have enough experience to level up, but do not have #3 taken care of you will have to choose between delaying your level up, or waiting until next level to multiclass.
Hello!  I'd like to request a multiclass for Ingram Alrikson from Fighter to Wizard.  Ingram Alrikson: Fighter 1 The reason I'm multiclassing: The Rjurik people are incredibly wary of magic and magic users (who aren't druids), so once Ingram starting showing signs of affinity to magic, he was sent to live away from Rjurik lands. Being a proud Rjurik, he tried to ignore that side of himself and focus on his craft and fighting prowess. Lately, that unshakable curiousity has gotten the best of him and now Ingram wants to pursue magic in earnest.  Since this is a new character, he doesn't have an in-game way to obtain a new class. I imagine the people of his guild trade with or have ties with magic users. Since he's Rjurik, I imagine Ingram has a keen interest in Jotun (Giant) lore so perhaps he begins to encounter or seek out Giant Rune magic which he would then begin to inscribe into his armour.
We can certainly find a way to multi-class your character. A Jotun would be an extremely epic thing in Cerilia, and likely you'd have trouble finding one to teach you. However there are plenty of people in The Cohort Arcanum who could teach you the ways of wizardry. The last character we had who multi-classed learned from Presphine. Alternatively your character can learn from another PC, or go out on a quest to find a teacher.
 1. Fenris Nathair Level 1 Barbarian wanting to multiclass into Druid. Note:  He got the major power animal affinity- Serpent Bloodline.  2. Fenris comes a very secluded tribe of wood  Sidhelien where the oldest member, his father, has lived for so long he was at the battle at Mount Deismaar, itself. (Wether his father has the mental compacity to remember any of it, well that's a different story.) The character concept is to playoff the bloodline of Azari and makes this the key feature of the Sidhelien tribe, as the Sidhelien followed Azari, I want this to take the form as a physical change that every member of his tribe grows into. Their affection towards Serpents and the ability to change into one, is the bloodline gifts taking form but each time they are used it comes at the risk of becoming an Awnshegh. The tribe takes huge pride that they have these gifts, they are a blessing given from their service at the battle and becoming a full Awnshegh is seen as a sign of great Prestige. Any high ranking member would have to be an Awnshegh. The barbarian level is reflective of the wild nature of his tribe, they don't have a formal military force or training. This group of wood Sidhelien follows the code of survival of the fitness, the weak will be removed so the rest can be strong. This environment creates strong but indisciplined warriors and training is an independent activity. So go become strong or don't return. Members often don't remember their combat encounters, as they seem more like dreams than reality akin to that when there dreaming. Their attitude to nature is one, to make it work for you. A creature like the Killer tree is more likely to protect this village than Ents for example. A child born that showed no signs of these gifts wouldn't be accepted and would be forced out. A player that did show strong signs, would be welcomed in. Awnshegh with serpent features would be guest of honor. OOC : By default, each tribe member would have to be 1 level barbarian 1 level druid and all of them rely on their bloodline for their druid powers. This doesn't mean there isn't other classes in the tribe but they would have to be inherently strong and show signs of "gifts." As I cant start at level 2, I picked the class that was most likely going to get me there lol. An in-character reason is the druid shape change develops later in life and would be another manifestation of his bloodline traits. Also if you have any idea where this tribe can be on the map, let me know. .
Asher, first-level Nature Cleric of Airic Has always been interested in Magic, was forced into the priesthood. He Believes, but he just doesn't like it. Wants to learn the Arcane and be a wizard. "Wizards are cool." Needs to find a teacher, DM help appreciated, please. Tried Orithar, but Asher is way too young and chatty for him to have the patience.
Diesa Gemfire 1. Eldritch Knight Fighter 4, hoping to take a level in wizard. 2. Magic never featured much in Diesa's life but ever since her first expedition with the cohort; werein she nearly got eaten by a mimic and then picked up a book which invaded her mind to implant an alien language - she has had it amply demonstrated that smashing things with a hammer is not going to be the solution to many of the most dangerous and important problems she will face. There are mighty powers at work in the realms and understanding their nature and being able, even in a small way, to use them herself, will be the key to achieving many of the goals to come. 3. Diesa has already studied magic under the tuteledge of the cohort wizard Presphine and has pracitced extensively in some wizard techniques to achieve 'Eldritch Knight' status. If Presphine is willing to continue teaching Diesa she can probably expand her arcane knowledge that way. The renown and fame aquired from the Battle of Traitor's Demise might also open the doors of the Imperial College of Sorcery in Anuire perhaps?
@Zilarrezko If you're already eldritch knight I'm fine with you just multi-classing into wizard (will still take 2 weeks for the multi-class, but not the extra time). @kaboom If you're looking for a magic teacher, and can't find another player we'll need to find you an NPC. Presphine is usually the go to in this situation, but you could try to organize a session to search for one if you'd like. @hats4cats I already talked to you in Discord. You'll need to find a teacher as well. Many of the Rjurik people have barbarians. As usual you can always find another players too. As a side note to anyone reading "my mother was a wizard, father was a barbarian, etc." are not valid excuses for multi-classing. Otherwise every new character is going to start showing up with a detailed list of their third cousins, aunts, and uncles as well as what class they are. Which is very meta, and not true to the intentions of this rule. You'll need to find a teacher in game.
Brognir Bronzehelm, Fighter 1- Wants to Multiclass into Barbarian. Brognir loves to get into a fight. He loves a good drink and can sometime Rage. He sometimes get very angry in battle and starts seeing red. He a dwarf that can take a beating. (Brognir is a fighter/barbarian tank.) I have a reason why he would want to multiclass into it. For his story but not sure how he can do it or anyone to train him. So I am fine with discussing about how this can happen.
Galena Abanâthu 1. Rogue Level 3, looking to multiclass into Bard 2. Galena knows that words can have power, if that wasn't demonstrated enough by the necromantic book found in grevesmuhl, but has started looking at that in a different way after encountering the siren. Who is said to have such power in her voice that it kills those who hear. Not that she wants to kill people, well maybe some people. 3. Not at the moment, havent met any bard PCs yet. Something to do with the siren would be fun and ironic, but probably not realistc.
I think Galena could probably win The Siren over, and learn from her. At least some members of her court as well.
Sithric Grimhildsson 1. Battlemaster Fighter Level 5, looking to multiclass into rogue. 2. Sithric has already reached a significant milestone in his archery skills. However, focusing only on this aspect feels lacking to him. He wants to make sure that he always has the jump on those who aren't careful enough. Also, after the vampire encounter, he wishes to be agile enough to disengage without having to fully focus on running away. 3. Sithric has only met one rogue so far in Cedrych, but finding a master isn't too urgent right now, as he has a long way to go until level 6.
Shlar Ohmste A pre-request to multiclass to Rogue when he next levels up. 1 Wizard level 5 2. From his background as a street urchin/ street thief he is almost there as it is and this is just him taking the final step into accessing all the sneaky thief skills he learnt as a child. 3. Shlar had met a couple of Rogues in the Cohort but has no one set up to training him.  But he has a while to go before he levels up so will be spending that time finding a teacher and practising in preparation.
Too both of you looking for a rogue trainer. There is a NPC member of the cohort who would do it for standard NPC training fee called Nubby.  Or you can message other players. Or find you own npc.
Apologies, I didn't know I had to post here for becoming an Arcane Trickster. Skag Polovich Rogue 2 Leveling up to Rogue 3; picking Arcane Trickster. After drinking the magic potion that made him younger, he becomes fascinated by magic, almost obsessed. He wishes to better understand magic and how it works. He reckons the best way to do that is to learn how to channel magic himself, and seeks a trainer. Skag seeks someone to teach him the arcane arts, and Salazar di Fioretti offers himself as a teacher.
Nubby will work for the rogues. @seraphina leaf You only need to post in here if you can't find someone to train with yourself. If you find another PC to teach you then you can just record that in your downtime.
Savas Al-Hadar Cleric 5 During all of Savas' career, he has both studied the way and methods of Khirdai, the God of War, as well as sought to hone his own martial prowess.  Wanting to further honor Khirdai on the field of battle, and reaching the limit of what he can teach himself, Savas sought out a tutor to hone his battle skills.   Savas has approached Sithric Grimhildsson who has agreed to tutor Savas in the martial arts in exchange for tutelage in the use of disguise kits. OOC:  I'm nowhere near ready to level up, but just wanted to get approval and work it into the character story before I get there.
Yep you're fine Savas.
Theo Rendi rogue 1 to learn to defend himself when he has no weapons having faced the tentacle people Thorkell has agreed to train Theo
Approved.
Urg Fighter 3 Urg is getting mad that he gets knocked down so often.  He is beginning to embrace the anger and pain to become a barbarian. Zook will train Urg.
Approved.

Nils 1. Conquest Paladin 3, looking to multi-class into Hexblade Warlock 2. Nils wants to become more powerful - he was humbled by the Queen of Witches during their last encounter.  3. Nils plans to beseech the Queen of Witches to show him the path to strength.
Phage 1. Multiclass in Monk 2. To be able to fight in melee better and to be able to use her dex and wisdom for AC 3. Does not have a way to learn it but is willing to pay someone in Thylea to learn.
Valthribra the Redeemer is capable enough to teach Phage the basics. Approved.
Not sure if you missed it but let me know what you think re Nils. Thanks!
My bad. You are approved Simon.
Mizra Kadir el-Djafara:  Current Class/Lvl Cleric 1 It is written into Kadir's backstory that after he joined the temple of Avani as a Life Priest, he became interested in a sect of Avani more interested in the accumulation of knowledge and study of magic.  To show this interest, he took the Magic Apprentice: Wizard feat.  He is now looking to commit himself to the Wizard class to further his understanding of the arcane. Currently seeking out a tutor among the Cohort members, otherwise will delay level up until he can get enough gold to hire an NPC tutor for the three weeks it will take in downtime to multi-class.
1. Volo Khedege: Level 1 War Domain Cleric looking to multi-class the rest of his levels into Monk (eventually Way of the Four Elements) 2. Volo is a sailor who found religion in the midst of storms on the high seas. He communed with the waters and the winds and found himself in contact with  Cuiraécen. Subtly directed by the god's influence, he has left behind his former life and joined the Arcanum in the hopes of gaining additional insight into the "elemental forces" guiding him. However, he has decided to pursue a spiritual, rather than a religious lifestyle and is seeking to become more in tune with himself and the elements. 3. He is currently seeking someone enlightened to get him started down the path of a Monk.
A Siren who calls herself Laysha has recently come to The Cohort on some other business. She could likely teach Volo. (I think we handled Mizra already?)
Can Sabiha's special training with Pythor give her access to becoming a Warlock/Hexblade of Pythor?
Yes.
Vadik Kozar, Warlock level 1 As part of his back story, Vadik came to the Cohort to learn bardcraft.  He hopes to become a famous troubador to find fame and fortune. Vadik will enquire among fellow cohort members for a trainer, or will save up his money to hire a tutor to train him.
Seems perfectly fine, approved!
