However this is not the end of the tale I am afraid. It would appear that multiple people in the area have had problems with these beasts, and this is not simply to do with a roaming murder. I have recently heard a rumor from a very reliable source that someone might potentially be summoning, or otherwise spurring these axebeaks into the world. I do not know the full details, but if someone is behind this problem I would prefer to pick out the root instead of cut off the leaves. My people and I have tried to separate ourselves from the surface world, but I'm afraid that ability is in jeopardy. We recently had the magic item that we use to procreate without surface dwellers stolen. Additionally the ones who stole it are demanding ransom, and gearing up for war. This group of selkies has traditionally been good friends with the syrens, but now it appears something has changed. We need a group who can act as a middleman, spy, thief, mercenary, or negotiator depending on the situation. We would like to get our magic item back, but the methods are up to you. If you can also figure out why the selkies have suddenly become more aggressive there might be an additional bonus to your reward. Considering this work will require you to swim underwater in the deep sea I expect that everyone coming should be proficient at swimming. Here in Wierech there is an ancient ruined city known as Aldersburg. Duke Kort Adler of Wierech once built this ancient fortress city to be an impenetrable wall against The Gorgon. The demon took this as a challenge, and ultimately slaughtered everyone inside the city. Now it's said the ruins are full of ghosts, and I do believe the tales to be true! Returning from Aldersburg is a death sentence, at least most of the time. I have heard from some of my people that it's said that on The Eve of the Dead it is possible to make a treaty with the old duke's ghost. If you head to the ruins during this day you will be able to find this ghost, and he will give you a task to complete. If you are successful the curse of the city will be removed, and you will all be greatly rewarded! Remember to be careful not to lose your mounts, but also be aware that if you don't take any camels or horses you'll have trouble bringing the full corpses back (the meat sells for quite a pretty penny even in these times). Mission 3X Date Posted: 25 Keltier 1526 HC A number of nations surrounding The Tsojcanth mountains have all put up missions looking for Daoud's Wondrous Lanthorn. Here are the following offers: 1.) Tsarina, Chessa Rodelovisk of Rzhlev is offering up information, a map, a base camp, and asks for a tariff of 20%, and of course the lanthorn. She also offers up "disposable help." 2.) Baron, Ludwig von Schaeffen of Berhagen has already offered up information, and has a base camp setup with the Gnome Vale in the mountains.
