Missing Maps on Page Toolbar and VTT main screen

Hello, I am new to the Roll20 network and have been working on a campaign within. Yesterday, after logging in and launching my game, I found that I had two maps that were missing in the Page Toolbar. When selecting those pages, they did not show up on the main screen, but the fog of war and tokens did. I replaced the two missing maps on the main screen, but they did not update the icons in the Page Toolbar. Logging in this morning, I found that the icons had returned to the Page Toolbar and that the original maps returned in a layer underneath the replacement maps put in place the day prior. I removed the replacement maps thinking it was simply a glitch in the system. Logging back in a couple hours later, the original issue returned, no map icons and no maps in the main screen. I did also notice that some mx was being performed yesterday on the server. Could this issue be related to what was being fixed? If not, are there any ideas as to why its happening to me? I have Chrome is up to date, I have cleared the cache and have no add-ons installed. Thank you for your attention.

The maps have returned. Will post a follow up with a console log if they go missing again.

Hi Chris. Is those "original" underlying maps, in your Library that you uploaded the graphics? Or are they among your Roll20 Marketplace purchased graphics? It sounds like the "original" maps were there all along, but they did not Load or Appear properly on that one night you were checking. It sounds like maybe a loading/server/bandwidth issue (wait longer, refresh browser, or come back the next day if Roll20 had an outtage) on the time when they appeared to be missing.
Gold, Thanks for the reply. The maps I used were uploaded from my PC to the campaign library. I had tried earlier (twice) to post the console log to this thread, but it did not show up. Did you see it? There were a lot of 403's referencing thumb1.jpg. I've cleared my clipboard cache or else I would try to post it again here. The work around I am trying is to duplicate the two maps that were not showing up, repopulating them, and deleting the originals. Will post more if more issues arise. Thanks again.

did not see console log... Those logs are useful if the Devs need to research it. I would've just noticed the same thing you saw about 403 thumb1. but, there again, it sounds like more evidence of what I suspected in earlier post. it means your graphic existed and was Placed upon the map ('Page"), but, there was a glitch / blockage of internets that caused it not to load, temporarily.

May i also advise, don't focus too much on the Page Icon in the page toolbar. It is generated. By the way, trivia note, it is generated from whatever the Largest stretched graphic on the Page is. (Usually your underlying map). If you wanted that icon to look like a Monster, you can super-size a monster token on a hidden layer of the page, and it will regenerate a new page toolbar icon of that! Point being, even if it has failed to generate a Page icon in the toolbar, the page itself might still be functional (and the page icon would fix itself after reloading if it didn't appear instantly). Different side note just to be SURE --- do not delete the graphic from your Library in Roll20 after you've uploaded it and placed it on the page. Keep it in the library. The one on the Page refers to the actual file in your uploads Library. You probably knew that but just in case.
Great advice all around! I've learned the importance of leaving the file in the library alone once its used in an active page. Even renaming them breaks the link-up.
