The party found themselves in Murghôm , unsure of how they got there. They met Coboj, who claimed his "lord prince" had directed him to lead them against goblins who had taken over a nearby town. Along the way, they entered a forest and fought off some wolves, despite a couple of party members sustaining some nasty bites! Further into the forest, they found a woodcutter accompanied by two goblin guards. Coboj left to approach from behind, but the rogue successfully followed to keep an eye on him. Several party members spoke to the guards and woodcutter, who seemed confused by their talk of goblins and an overrun town. Seeing this, Coboj broke from cover and attacked one guard, but the party refused to join in. They intimidated and restrained Coboj, then took everyone to the town to figure out what was going on. At the town the party stopped on the road near the guardhouse and waited for the town elder to emerge. He was unable to shed much light on the situation but did offer to call upon his lord prince, who would know what to do. The party agreed, stayed the night as guests at the inn, and the next morning met the local lord. This was the (gold) dragon prince Chelnadatilar, who broke the mental influence, allowing the party to see that the "goblins" were really just human guards. He explained that the deception was the work of the neighboring (sapphire) dragon prince Domborcojh, and thanked the party for their efforts, especially their restraint in not attacking the guards. He offered to hire the party for various adventuring tasks, and perhaps when they had grown in power they could seek vengeance on Domborcojh.
