The party after questinoning the Skulk had decided to travel into Jzardurine, they were joined by a members of the guard. The newly formed party then traveled to the abandoned ed warehouse that hid the entrance to the underground domain. After discovering the secret passage that led to Jzardurine and traveling down the winding staircase and into what could only be described as a a large entrance chamber, they discovered large copper masks adorning the walls. As they approached the masks, the masks spoke saying, "Welcome to Jzardirune---behold the wonder! But, beware, ye who seek to plunder. Traps abound and guardians peer beyond every portal, behind every gear." So, after being warned that the lair was highly trapped and that there would be guardians among the ruins, the party did what any sensible party would do; they decided to try to loot as much as they could and disturb every room in the ruins. They entered this one room that looked resembled a large indoor park. The ground was covered in grass, there were several trees in the room. Down the center of the room, there were several columns that seemed to rise up from the ground and go up into the endlessly up into the sky. That was the truly the strangest thing, the ceiling of the room did not exist. Instead it looked as if you could see up into the clear sky and see the sun slowly pass by and clouds drifting lazily along. There was even a soft breeze in the room and at one end of the room, a cemented pool that connected to an underground river bringing in fresh water. The party decided to investigate this large room and was suddenly attacked by skulk that had hidden in the shadows. A battle ensued and the party after taking damage survived to live another day. The party also investigated the throne room. In the throne room, they found a damaged pulverizer. A Pulverizer is a golem designed to work underground to both tunnel and act as a automated guard. Pulverizers are equipped with two drill like hands. After defeating the pulverizer, the party was able to activate a programmed message from the king of Jzardirune, the image appaered before the throne and told the party the following story: "Betrayed we are by our own magic. One by on, we fade away. Jzardirune is lost. Oh, how tragic. We curse the vanishing day. If you are listening to this, there still might be hope for you. Leave now, or face the wrath of the vanishing! No treasure, no riches is worth the fate that has befallen us. Once a great kingdom, now we are shall be nothing but ruins for other to marvel at and wonder, 'Where has the great ones of Jzardirune gone?' The answer is simple. We are still here, here in the walls, here in the air. We are Jzardirune and Jzardirune is us. As we fade away into nothingness, we go proudly remembering what we once were. Jzardirune should be thought of as more than a place, but an ideal. Jzardirune should also be seen as a warning. Sometimes pride, greed, ambition and curiosity can benefit a race, sometimes..." at this point the image motions around the now ruined throne room, "It can be a civilizations ruin. Beware my friends and leave now, leave knowing you have stepped into the once powerful and majestic halls of Jzardirune and that there is nothing that can take such a memory away from you." The image fades away. The party continued investigating the rooms trying to find a trace of the children. They entered one room and found it empty except for two chests and standing between the two chests, a lone suit of full plate mail holding great sword standing on a raised pedestal. As still as statue the suit of human sized plate mail stood, covered int cobwebs and dust from long neglect. The party entered to look into the chests. Juger, the half-orc fighter, decided to look closer at the suit of armor. The moment Juger touched the armor, it came to life and attacked Juger dealing a mighty blow. The party readied themselves for combat. The now animated suit of armor, or Dreadknight, swung again, randomly hitting Juger. Unfortunately for Juger, the blow was a critical hit and the Dreadknight sliced clean trough Juger. Juger fell to the ground dead. The wizard in the group cast spell it seemed that Juger returned back from the dead and was magically healed. The party also thought so and attacked the Dreadknight. After a few round of combat, the Dreaknight swung again at the seemingly raised from the dead Juger, only to discover that this Juger was just an illusion and the real Juger lay dead at its feet. The party used this moment of hesitation on the part of the golem acting the silent image of the Juger to be able to overpower it. The fight ended with the party now short one member, they examined the chests and discovered the treasure of Jzardirune, but it had came at a high price, that of Juger. Saddened, the party settled down for the night and barricaded the door. The first night within Jzardirune had come to an end.
