D&D 5E: Can No Longer Edit NPC Actions

I've run several one-shots as a free player. I just recently became a Plus subscriber. After making a new game, I have lost the ability to edit NPC Actions on the 5E OGL sheets. This is true for ALL my games, even the old ones. The gear (circled in red in the example picture) does not respond to being clicked. I can create a NEW action, and during the creation process I can edit it normally, but as soon as I save it, it can no longer be edited. It is ONLY the NPC Actions which cannot be edited. The gear wheels to change everything else work just fine.

Hey Duncan, I am trying to reproduce your error without success. Could you give me a few insights into your gaming environment: - Is the problem happening with NPCs dragged from the compendium, npcs that you edit directly or both? - What is your operational System? - Which browser are you running (including version)? - Do you make use of any assistive technology? Roll20 officially only supports Firefox and Chrome. Some people are able to play using Safari and the last Microsoft Edge (v80.0) which are both based on Chromium. If you are not on either FF or Chrome, could you try one of those browsers and let me know if you problem persists?

I'm running Windows 10, Google Chrome version 80.0.3987.162, no assistive technology. I logged in using Edge as an alternative browser and had the exact same problems. Delving further into some of my old games and my current one here's what I've got. It is not occurring on all my NPCs, only most of them. Some are custom NPCs, some are from the compendium, I can't find a pattern. The way I generally make NPCs right now is, I have a character called NPC Template, which has token action macros built into it for convenience. So any time I want to make an NPC, I duplicate NPC Template, and then I then drag a creature from the compendium onto it OR fill it out entirely myself. It seems that any creature I am making using NPC Template will not allow me to edit the NPC Actions. I just created a new character sheet and dragged a creature from the compendium into it, and THAT creature's actions could be edited without issue. On some of my old sheets (it seems to be the spellcasters), their Reaction section is stuck in edit mode and cannot be closed. (Picture 1) On a different sheet, clicking the edit button on the FIRST action opened the edit box for the FOURTH action instead. (Picture 2)

Hey Duncan, thanks for the detailed report. There was an update in that specific part of the NPC sheets a few weeks ago. I suspect NPCs created from your template (older than this update) are probably generating some incompatibility with this new code. I've tested the new code with old NPCs sheets but was still not able to reproduce it on my side. Would it be possible for you to: - Invite me to your table; - Create a NPC affected by this specific issue and let it visible/editable/controllable by all players; In that way I could check the issue on your specific setup. In the meantime, please try editing your NPC template (or NPCs) and reset the attribute called ui_flags , in case it is not there please go ahead and add it without any value assigned. Just for Duncan's clarity Miguel, your instructions say "ui_flag", but the gif shows "ui_flags". Which is the correct one?

Thanks Keith, the correct is the plural form (ui_flags).
Resetting the ui_flags did not fix the issue. I have sent you a private message with the invite link to my old game, and given all players in the game access to the relevant NPC sheets.

Hey Duncan, I really appreciate you taking your time to set this up. I've already taken a look at your table and figured out the problem. The patch should go live on the next build.

Hey, I've been having this same issue for a while and it's making running and setting up games very difficult. I'm having trouble following what it is that was figured out and how to fix it, could someone clarify for me? Please treat me like I'm dumb. I'm not using anything that doesn't come with the vanilla setup. This is happening across firefox and chrome, also having tried on multiple computers. I am not getting this issue in my other game. I was not previously having this issue in the game I am now having this issue in. Thank you!

Hey Syrup, we found a bug that stopped actions from working properly in copies from an existing NPC sheet. This can happen when the original NPC had its actions rearranged (order changed), deleted, etc. It should be patched on the next build.
