Payment Options

I do not share my credit card numbers on the internet. I would suggest that some form of payment be added to Roll20. Paypal being the one I prefer. I would like to get a subscription but other then credit card there is no option.

Paypal doesn't get used because apparently it doesn't work well for recurring fees. Have you ever tried getting anything like a prepaid Visa? The card would only ever have access to the amount of money you wanted, so you could simply add money to it when you needed to pay for your account.

Nolan T. J. response about paypal. There hasn't been anything new that has changed that response posted in the forums since.
That's odd because my netflix is recurring every month and it's paid by paypal. I already have a CC so there's little point in getting another one since I'd have to remember to put money on it when it ran out. I just thought I'd ask because PP is so widely used. Thanks for getting back to me.
Fees are also probably a consideration, while huge in RP terms Roll20 is like a little corner candy store compared to Netflix, which is more like Hershey's in size. In Europe you can pay by Cell phone text, so even a coke machine can use safe remote payment, until something like this is universal small operators are at a disadvantage.

We are not trying to discourage you about posting suggestions but until there is enough demand the paypal option is not a viable option for the roll20 devs to pursue (that is how I interpetted their various comments about it) but it was indicated they are always open to review things at a later date.
Well I'm pretty sure there'd be more memberships purchases if there was the option. It certainly stops me from purchasing one, and two of my players as well. If there's us there's others. Just thought I'd ask. As explained the decision has been made to not use it. So the subject is nil. Thanks for the info.

There's always the Google Wallet Card works like a prepaid card but a bit more manageable. Only available in the US, however.
