Character sheet question from a new player

So, Ive bought all the character books on DnD beyond with a bonus Ive had sitting around as Im just getting into DnD after getting invited to an online one shot by people im in a facebook group with. I'd really like to start a campaign, potentially on here. But I noticed that on here, I only have access to a fraction of the total compendium. As it seems, i would have to repurchase all of the content on this site if I want to use it here. Thats pretty unfeasible at this point financially. Would it generally be acceptable for me to use a character sheet on DnDbeyond during a campaign on this site and just type in my rolls manually, like /roll 1d8+3 or something? Is that a faux pas here?

That's really up to whoever runs the game. If you start games yourself, then the players just have to accept this or play in another game.
