“Hell hath no limits, nor is circumscribed in one self place, for where we are is hell, and where hell is must we ever be.” "Solamen miseris socios habuisse doloris. (It is a comfort to the wretched to have companions in misery.)” Christopher Marlowe, Doctor Faustus --- EDIT: Party is full! Thank you to everyone who showed interest! --- Houston by Night is a VTM 5e game set in my homebrew city. We are looking for 2-3 players (plus two that we already have) to join us in telling a long-term, open-ended vampire Chronicle. You must be at least 18 to play, have access to the desktop version of Roll20, and have a microphone. Meeting times are flexible, but will be at least once a week around 7:00pm CST. We welcome players of all experience types, but you should at least have some basic familiarity with the VTM system and be aware that this is a story-driven TTRPG with mature content and personal horror. The game will begin as a story about a coterie of fledglings thrown together by circumstance after a terrible event in San Antonio forced them to flee to the outskirts of Anarch-controlled Houston. There, they work to survive and establish themselves among the local Kindred population. Beyond this opening segment, the Chronicle will be dictated by choices made by the PCs and scenes that the coterie decides to explore, but you can expect to encounter many of the core tropes of the VTM world: war between the Anarchs and the Camarilla, Sabbat terrorism, and the looming threat of the Second Inquisition. We are currently seeking 2-3 additional players with at least basic knowledge of TTRPGs. Players may choose any of the seven clans from the 5e corebook, limited one member of each clan in the coterie. Clan selection will be first come, first serve. If it matters to you, I am new to running VTM and semi-new to using Roll20, but not new to DM/GMing. We will only be using the free features of Roll20, so no fancy dice scripts (sorry!).
