[Weekly Downtime Thread][Fall IV 1525 HC]

Please post any of your downtime activities below. You can find the full rules for downtime here . You can find last week's downtime thread  here. Always remember to be specific about what downtime action you are taking! If you're leveling up type that in your post labeled as OOC! If you're looking into an item be specific about where that item is from, what mission, when you got it, who from, etc. If you write "I read that book I found" the DM is likely to have no clue what you are talking about. If you are learning a language, or tool make sure to write down how many weeks you have been practicing! This lowers the DC, and gives advantage depending on the number of weeks. Also a reminder that players only get one main downtime action per week.

Dragomir & Nalu Drago and Nalu return back to Drachenward, the winter Solstice is about to start. He checks to see how Kaverva is keeping. He speaks with Lars about the upcoming ritual for the beginning of the winter solstice thanking him for what he is about to go through. He attends lars sacrifice, this is his first time attending one of Silvers and wants to see how it works.  The rest of his time is spent bonding with Nalu, they work together creating a new spell. Something that would save someone when falling to the ground. Given how they both like to fly I would be nice to have a spell that could be cast instantly upon falling so they don't get damaged by the ground. Maybe Nalu or Larmedylth already know of something.  Major Action : Bonding with Nalu why creating a spell to stop you dying when falling. Minor Action : Attending Lars sacrifice.  Orithar Trisk Is pleased with how the events unfolded after curing Eirena. He travels to the lands of Grim Greybeard and sets up an exchange for the services he provided during the king's battle. He agrees that if Orithar covers the cost of the full plate armor he would gift Orithar a suit of Excellent Full Plate armor treated black to remove any shine and have it fitted to his "servant" though this is done out of public knowledge given the nature of the creature. Orithar has the armor kept plain, symbols or embossment. Why the Dwerren takes care of the armor he will travel next door and use his renown with the Sielewode to acquire an Excellent Greatsword for his service in the battle.   Why the items are begin acquired Orithar, using the Sage - Researcher background feature. Will research who Syndra is and trying to work out why his lips are bleeding. He ask if servant want he knows of this, and what Syndra might have done. He believes that the name she used if likey to be a new creation however her look and accompany she keeps maybe not so. OOC: spoke with Leon and he agreed.  Using renown with Sielewode for an Excellent Greatsword.     Fenris Nathair  Continues hunting human in the LLubraight and couldn't be happier. Why in the Llubraight fenris keeps a eye out for interesting beasts he could use for wild shapes.

Eirena Lightshadow Cured of her bloodline, Eirena will feel very elated. But not only had she managed to cure her own affliction, she was able to lift the things that were weighing Savas down. She'll leave the book about demon summoning wrapped in a lose band and gift it to Orithar; It's the least she could do to thank him for his help regarding this. She'll also do her best to take up working the plate armor for his new demonic minion into a shape that can actually fit the spiky, big Orogdemon. She will continue Nils' Training, increasing the difficulty and preparing him for the bond to Kirken. She will cherish the time she has been gifted together with Nasaadi and Savas and learn to live with only one arm. But she ponders on how to regain her arm. She'll have to find out if there is a cleric capable of high magic in Stjordvik. The country does owe her a great lot after all... ( OOC: Main Downtime: Teaching Nils the way of the Hexblade. Other: Adjust Orithar's plate mail, research if Stjordvik has strong priests. ) Alvah Laurent Depending on how the training with Nils goes, Alvah will go with all those who wish to offer themselves up as a pixie, to safeguard them during their travels. If her training did manage to complete before the end of this season, she won't bug Nils about doing some training during the travels. Otherwise, she might as well ask for some complementary lessons before he goes. Or before he doesn't. Who knows, we have 4 volunteers it appears. She will be quite sad to see Grian lose his memories. She was quite fond of the boy, like the little brother she never had. Only time will tell how the pixie business goes. Sithric Sidhefriend Now that Sithric had once again seen how valuable it would be to be able to retreat in a more subtle fashion, he thinks about his coming career. He had missed 14 times already. 14 times more than he should have. Theres only one way to improve this: Stealth, cunning and training in such regard. While he had met a few people who are good at these, theres one man who excels among the people he has seen practicing these disciplines:  Cedrych Brightbough. Now, if Sithric were any other person, he could possibly get away with only spending some gold for this training. But as Sithric is not an idiot, he is definitely aware of Cedrych's disdain towards himself. The average student at this point would give up in the face of adversity and settle to learn from someone else. Sithric however was no such man. If he had to learn, he had to learn from the best.  He approaches Cedrych one day, when he finds him unbusied.  With a curt bow, Sithric will lay out his request: "Cedrych, I wish to learn. I wish to learn how I can always be a step ahead of my opponents. Keep them guessing from where these darned Arrows are flying from. Retreat whithout compromising my attacks. He has been quite fond of rumor gathering so far, his next favourite past time after drinking.  Robert Bossouri Would like to speak to visit the libraries of Mythros to find out wether or not access to them is free or paid for. He had a lot of things he would lile to start reaearching, however the Thylean Cohort isn't equipped with that big of a library. There must be a lot of information to be gained in the libraries in Mythros.  ( OOC: Visiting Mythros Libraries, finding out how to enter. Fame in Thylea is 4 or 3, I believe, if it will matter. )

Urg Inspired by a successful mission and his first real plunder, Urg trains harder than ever before.  He gets harnesses the anger. OOC: Urg levels up to 5 Veilitos Veilitos spends time weaving new goods to sell to merchants who visit the isle.  Fancy clothes and other objects like little pouches. OOC: he tries to make money selling goods.

Hedrin (Learning Anuerian week 1) The boy hangs out with Medi for a bit and asks her to teach the language of the land to him. She would notice he has become quite a glutton since she has last seen him. He shows off his cloak one day when it is raining and enjoys time training his spider friend.  Korak (Low Brecht week 2) Still needing to know the language and considering he has to deal with their people a lot he trains in learning it once again.  Learned in session

Cordelia Woodwytch When Cordie hears that a group in the Cohort are looking for people to volunteer to be turned into pixies she signs right up and travels to the fey portal in Holstadt for the Eve of the Dead, alongside whoever else turns up for it. If they have time, Cordie would want to chat with the Queen of Witches about her work and fey experiences, like saving the wedding of Cookie and Koko. If the queen doesn't appear to have a proper hat, Cordie will offer hers, since it wouldn't fit her anymore after she's transformed. Major: Offering to be one of the three Pixie substitutes Minor: Attempting to befriend the Queen of Witches(?)

Raven Tonks Rowan Major: learn Stealth from Nasir Al'Rahka (week 2) Minor: teach Nasir Al'Rahka the art of deception (week 2) Hen Major: does some Blacksmithing to earn some coin.( at Erlady Mispera's) Minor: provides aid to the people in any way she can. Theo Rendi Major:  Offers to be one of the three Pixie substitutes Hadrian Darkleaf Major: learn Thylean Cellwair from Demi Minor: attempt to teach Demi Sidhewair Thalia the Strong (captured by orogs-Fate being determined)

Grian Veles Keeps his promise and shows up to become a Pixie. He would like to ask the Queen of Witches three questions. If she allows it he asks her. He also brings new outfits pixie size for him and the others to wear after the ritual.  1: He tells her about his run in with the changing of the seasons fey and the ritual that happens. He would like to know that them not taking any of the things that was left behind the proper thing to do in case someone else stumbles across another ritual like that seeing they been encountered twice now. 2: If she could atleast give a name to his Patron that saved him. So he could have a name to look for her. 3: If she could take them back with her to the Fey Wilds after the transformation and possibly show them how to activate a portal so they can return. (OOC: The last question is for a reason Grian has been away from the Cohort for a time after the pixie transformation.) Brognir Continuing his research into things. Vincent Heron Location:   Halls of the Cohort Arcanum  - Modest Lifestyle (16sp) Vincent counts his blessings having returned from the Shadow Realm unharmed and without the taint of Azrai. He reflects that a magic weapon does little to protect one from strange magics! He spends most of his downtime reading again but if given the opportunity seeks out further training in becoming more agile and quick! Major Action:  If enough XP to level he works on his nimbleness and levels to Fighter 6 (taking +2 Dex ASI) If previously unsuccessful - reading the Dwerren crafting book written in Midgardian.  Otherwise he reads the book Ant lent him in Aquan " Faithful Labours of the Sea Captain" Nils Ullstein Location:   Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, Isle of Fabrica - Poor Lifestyle (0gp) Eirena returns from her mission no longer an Awnshegh - leaving Nils even more convinced of her power. He continues to learn her methods of wielding the Arcane - not be bending it to her will but by serving the one she calls Cuiracaén and the Church of Kirken. He trains with Alvah when time allows to keep in fighting form. Major Action:  Leveling to Warlock (Hexblade) 1 if experience from session 151 allows. Minor Action:   Teaches Alvah Athletics as agreed if previously unsuccessful.

Bronsun Major- OOC- levels up minor - exchange spell books with Orithar once again. 

Cedrych Brightbough Cedrych grins widely as Sithric pleads for his help. Some people would be put off by such obvious flattery, but not Cedrych. "Sithric, as always, you are a terrible elf. The sidhelien do. Not. Beg. "But, I can't have you running around embarrassing yourself and making a bad name for sidhelien everywhere, now can I? Major: Cedrych tries to find someone willing to identify the Longbow acquired from the basement of the museum in session 143. He's willing to foot the bill for the reagents as well as compensate them for the service. Maybe Taefenael or another willing Cohort NPC. In a pinch, he goes to Drachenward to see if one of the clerics there can assist (11 Renown). Minor: Training Sithric with his rogue MC. Kazimir Volkov Kazimir returns to Mispera after spending the last two months in Baruk Azhik. After checking in with the Ehrlady, he heads to Rzhlevskyy on horseback. He attempts to meet with the Tsarina to see if there have been any developments regarding Nikolai. Salazar di Fioretti Salazar levels up!

Gork Wolfborn Gork is more than happy that he has found a suitable teacher for the arcane arts -  Orithar, a half-orog just like him! Since he had met Igelhardt back with the Orogs, he had always been fascinated by magic and eager to learn these techniques himself. He tries his best, to be a good student and not disappoint his master. (OOC Gork levels up to level 3 and starts his progress to become an eldritch knight) Nasir Al'Rahka Continue learning Deception from Raven and teaching stealth to her - given that this has not been finished already Thorkell the Tall Prepares for his travels to Rohrmarch. Tries to get a map with roads and villages. Also asks other priests of Kirken about their knowledge of the Stormlord Seebrands. Tries to get general intel on the Black Banner and their General.

Jessna Intrigued by the balance of innocence and power embodied by Goddess Thinvaxscea (sp), Jessna spends all of her free time in the Cohort library and archives. She focuses her attention on celestial beings, gleaning anything she can about those individuals known to -become- celestial powers. Knowing that anecdotal evidence is based just as frequently in fact as not, Jessna gathers stories and notes from everything she can find about such instances: poetry, children's stories, historical accounts, and legend. Religious texts and first person accounts round out her acquired text collection, when available. If permitted, she spends most if her days and nights in the library, entranced by the topic, and drawing in the margins of her notes tiny images of angels, goblins, snails, and shy-smiling little-girl faces encased on waves of dark hair.

Jannis the Red Jannis will spend his downtime in the halls of the Cohort and the taverns of Brechlen, listening for news of the current state of affairs in the Rohrmarch city of Kiedel.  He will also try to find out as much as possible as to who is currently controlling Kiedel, as well as how Andreas Kohl, the former chamberlain of König Alaric, is faring.

Darvius Darvius spends another month with Thrinnie increasing the difficulty of her lessons in reading and philosophy. He also will be speaking to the gnolls in Thrinnies domain asking if they have heard of the flying sword monk, and if they have where it is said he currently operates.   He also begins to Study Goblin with the Goblins.

Glenn Glenn continues to provide healing services for the poor. He also works on trying to recruit others to his cause of helping the less fortunate. He also continues to bake batches of his signature cookies.

  Alvah Laurent Alvah takes more time training with Nils and works up the physical conditioning needed. Tests of physical ability now feel easier.    OOC: Learn the Athletic skill. Sithric Sidhefriend Sithric undergoes Cedrych’s training to find out what it means to be sidhelien, according to Cedrych.   OOC: Completes week 1 of 2 into multiclassing into Rogue.    Urg Urg anger gets out of control during a sparring session, his rage moves his weapons with increasing speed and anger. Attacking too quickly for his opponent to stand a chance. His opponent just wasn't ready for the increase in tempo and was cut to pieces on the floor. Lucky for Urg his opponent was a wooden training dummy.  OOC: Gratz on Leveling up.   Veilitos Works hard but doesn't make the sales he hoped for. Selling the goods was easy but everyone else had the same idea as he. He earns 3 silver and 2 copper pieces for his work. OOC: I don't know what this isle is but I have just treated it as looking for work.    Hedrin Hedrin thinks he finally understands how to speak Anuerian until he releases his grammar is all wrong. He will need a lot more training to learn how to speak.   Korak Korak finally gets the hang of learning Low Brecht.    Raven Tonks Rowan Raven becomes a shadow in the darkness and doesn't even have to use any magic to achieve it. OOC: Congrats on learning Sleath. Hen Hen helps out around the keep again, she did such a good job last time there is little else to repair. She earns 9 silver moons and 4 Emerald Quarters for her trouble.  Hadrian Darkleaf Hadrain begins to get a hold of the basics then the advantage sentence structures but then forgets the basics. They will need more time and training to put it all together. Thalia the Strong Thalia fights for the orogs amusement however she wakes suddenly from her sleep covered in sweat. Was this just a dream or an omen of things to come? I'm going to say going forward players with a wizard's tower get 1 custom spell per level of the tower. I might allow additional bonus ones on occasion, but that will be the exception not the rule. He had a lot of things he would lile to start reaearching, however the Thylean Cohort isn't equipped with that big of a library. Thorkell the Tall Prepares for his travels to Rohrmarch. Tries to get a map with roads and villages. Also asks other priests of Kirken about their knowledge of the Stormlord Seebrands. Tries to get general intel on the Black Banner and their General.   Unforunately finding a map not currently owned by a military commander is essentially impossible at the moment. Though plenty of commonfolk can give directions. Currently everything is such a mess there it's not entirely clear who is in charge of anything as it seems to change every week. Asking around gives 20 different answers. Jessna Intrigued by the balance of innocence and power embodied by Goddess Thinvaxscea (sp), Jessna spends all of her free time in the Cohort library and archives. She focuses her attention on celestial beings, gleaning anything she can about those individuals known to -become- celestial powers. Knowing that anecdotal evidence is based just as frequently in fact as not, Jessna gathers stories and notes from everything she can find about such instances: poetry, children's stories, historical accounts, and legend. Religious texts and first person accounts round out her acquired text collection, when available. If permitted, she spends most if her days and nights in the library, entranced by the topic, and drawing in the margins of her notes tiny images of angels, goblins, snails, and shy-smiling little-girl faces encased on waves of dark hair. Jessna's research is spent looking over many different old stories and tales. She reads one about a young girl named Fhiele who was the daughter of a blacksmith. She went out on an epic adventure with a group of her friends, and eventually inherited the power of The Fae after she was killed by The Gorgon. If the story is true the current Fae would still be this Fhiele.   Jannis the Red Jannis will spend his downtime in the halls of the Cohort and the taverns of Brechlen, listening for news of the current state of affairs in the Rohrmarch city of Kiedel.  He will also try to find out as much as possible as to who is currently controlling Kiedel, as well as how Andreas Kohl, the former chamberlain of König Alaric, is faring. Currently there seems to be a thousand and one factions in Rohormarch. It seems that Ruornil's Celestial spell and Roesone are sending in troops to "help the poor." Whilst they are feeding, clothing, and housing many people they are also gaining influence and becoming another powerful entity in the domain.   Darvius Darvius spends another month with Thrinnie increasing the difficulty of her lessons in reading and philosophy. He also will be speaking to the gnolls in Thrinnies domain asking if they have heard of the flying sword monk, and if they have where it is said he currently operates.   He also begins to Study Goblin with the Goblins. None of the gnolls have heard of any flying sword gnolls, but a small number seem to follow Darvius around deviously; as do some goblins. Darvius is however able to learn the langauge of the small green creatures, and in his spare time teach Thrinnie a thing or two. The girl is surprisingly smart, but she's also extremely naive.   Glenn Glenn continues to provide healing services for the poor. He also works on trying to recruit others to his cause of helping the less fortunate. He also continues to bake batches of his signature cookies. Glenn continues to pass out cookies, and healing services. He has become well liked with many of the local poor. Many help him in helping others. Though few have anything to give but their services.
