Generic Token Attributes Do Not Save - EVER

I'm so incredibly frustrated. My campaign is coming back to roll20 after being live for a while, due to COVID.  I (as GM) have just set up a battle map and dropped some tokens onto it (Hill Giants and Wolves) for my characters to fight. I set up the tokens with health bars and a bunch of notes for me in the text box.  I click Save. Everything is fine until I re-join as a player to see what things look like, and then go back to GM mode.  ALL MY WORK is gone.  The tokens remain, but the bars are missing, as is all the text I saved.  This happens if I refresh the page, close the game and rejoin, everything. So right now there's no way for me to save anything for these generic tokens and I'm pretty bummed. I tried my best to google for a result, but everything is dealing with tokens linked to journals, not generic tokens. Our session is tonight - so I'm desperate....
Happening to me too, really peeved that i've worked on this for hours just for everything to disappear! Wtf Roll20? Can someone explain or fix this?
Holy shit, my friend is going through the same thing right now. I'm going to Message the Devs I am a veteran of 3 years using this and it has never done this, it works in one of my campaigns just fine, but not his.
I'm glad it's not just me...
Can someone check if this is a browser issue if not if you have any extension up (ex. adblockers)

I checked in Chrome and Firefox. I also just fixed it - by re-subscribing to Plus. Is this a feature that's only available to paying users now?

I'm following your steps 1. Drag art onto table 2. Put values in bars and GM notes 3. Rejoin as Player. 4. Rejoin as GM. The tokens still all have their values. Is there a step or procedure you have not listed? Does this happen consistently? Also, when you were editing, did you have multiple instances of roll20 games up in different windows or tabs? Having multiple games open on the same browser can cause problems because the browser does not know how to tell Roll20 which game to update.

Sorry, other reports came in while I was typing. I will try to replicate on a free account. Are the steps I listed the correct procedure to duplicate?
You didn't miss a step, keithcurtis.  I did exactly this.  Only one instance of roll20 open. As soon as I paid my $4.99 for the month, I was able to save again.

Confirmed. This is most definitely a bug. I have reported this.
Yeah, I just made a free account, its definitely something up with free accounts
Get back to us when you solve it, I'm still trying to teach the new GM and this made it an annoying experience.

Understood. It's being looked at and I'm sure there will be an official announcement soon.

Hi everyone, We are looking into this issue currently. This is not something that would be restricted to plus/pro users and definitely a bug. Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce making a free account on my end. If folks could provide the following information to make sure I am properly reproducing it would be much appreciated! Name of the game where this is occurring Is this a new game or an existing game If you create a copy of the game, or a new game does this persist? What browser are you using and what version of that browser? EDIT: I am also moving this to the bug forum as it is where this belongs.
Hello, My GM is currently having the same issue, the name of the game we are seeing these issues is XENOGEARS. It has happened with a copy of a game, and when creating a new game. We have tried it out in both Chrome and Firefox and it happens in both. We have noticed that as soon as the GM asigns a token to a character, it becomes unresponsive, the rest of the tokens can still be used and are synched up with the players.
Hi, I am using a Free account. It is happening on all my games. The existing one I used last night (where there was no bug as of 11 PM) and any new ones I am creating today. You can go into my account and see for yourself.  I have tried with: Internet Edge (doesn't make it past the Loading screen) Internet Explorer (doesn't let me sign in). Google Chrome (i get in all the way to the game to see the bug). Opera browser (i get in all the way to the game to see the bug). Hope this information helps. Richard Di Ioia
