Tutorial Bugs – Text Appearing Off Screen

This bug appears to be a long time known issue according to one topic, " Tutorial messages appearing off-screen ." That was two years ago; I have also seen older posts. They all have the same assurance that it's a known issue, and the developers are aware of it. I am trying to decide what program to use for my game during the pandemic social distancing. Since I have heard a lot of good things about Roll 20, I thought I'd look into it and go through the tutorials. My confidence in paying for a subscription wanes when I find the tutorials aren't useable due to known bugs that have been around for several years. The tutorial, used by subscribers and non-subscribers, represents the program and the company. As a non-subscriber, I'm deciding if I want to spend my hard-earned money to subscribe. If the company doesn't care enough to create a decent tutorial that is bug-free, I don't feel confident that it will support the subscription services. So why should I invest my money into a subscription?

The tutorial is very old and out of date. At some point it  will  break. My suggestion is to check out the  Roll20 Crash Course  on Youtube, or my own video,  Starting from Scratch As to why the tutorial has never been updated in years, I can only speculate. There are lots of things that could be improved, but a limited number of devs. My guess is that getting out content and fixing game performance bugs has taken precedence, given the sheer number of tutorial videos, and a robust user-supplemented wiki. I think the walk-through tutorial should be retired, but that's a matter for the Suggestion Forum.
